Interesting. I have a friend who is a mad St Kilda supporter who, like you, doesn’t follow other teams. I thought he’d be the only fan with that approach. (He’d never heard of Caleb Daniel or even about the new man on the mark rule, but he seemed to know the vital statistics of every Saints player.) It’s great to be passionate, but the trouble is that it is easy to get carried away with our ability and not have a realistic view of the opposition.

Jones is a polarising figure on here. I thought he was ok today, and at least better than in the first two rounds. On the votes thread, someone included him in our best six. Meanwhile, others are saying drop him now or let him get to 300 and retire. Proving once again, you can’t please all the people all the time.

It would be good to know the salaries of the top 10 players at Richmond so we could compare our top players’ salaries. Does anyone know or have a sensible guess?

Did I hear correctly in Goodwin’s presser that we won 6 of the last 9 games last year? If that’s correct, then we’re now at 8 from 11. It’s a long time since we were in that position. Brown played in none of those 11. Imagine what we could do if we had our best 22 on the park.

It was a team warning for not having players in 666 positions.

Fun to watch when we’re playing well. I thought a few players were a bit selfish in front of goal, going back for a set shot when there was a player free, closer to goal. And the dropped uncontested marks were costly. Other than those two points, I am very happy - and I still have the afternoon and evening to bask in it.

I thought Hunt was very good today.

Bedtime here now. I’ll be watching at breakfast time. I’m hoping for a full team effort but I’m worried about their big forwards (Membrey loves playing us) and their quick, little guys. Go Demons!

May is our best defender since Tassie Johnson. But good players always seem like heroes when you’re a kid and my memories of Tassie are from when I was 10. Maybe May is even better than Tassie.
