  1. Think they sent me the wrong pack?
  2. Don't you mean Ralph John?
  3. Also if he is in the 2s he'll hopefully offer some on-field guidance to the young brigade - which in turn helps their development (hopefully)
  4. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-12-03/brown-becomes-a-demon Brown announced.
  5. For me it was a bit of a "woah" moment when suddenly my favourite player was younger than me. Still find it strange watching players play when I've seen their dad kick a ball etc (AFL & Soccer)
  6. We've made some risky calls but as i mentioned in another thread; Watching us last year it was clear we needed the following; Outside run Tall Forward option Small Forward So far we've brought in Tomlinson, Langdon, Jackson, Pickett and potentially Brown and Bennell. Sokol an option if they don't go Brown. River seems highly rated with his distribution too. Time will tell and there'll always be draft hindsight discussions but we've gone after areas we're deficient rather than potentially best players available. As stated above a lot of the additions are upgrades and we also get to see Dunkley/Lockhart with a full AFL pre-season. We got the players we wanted (sans elliot) so for that it was a good trade period now we just need to get behind them and understand there'll be ups and downs with their development.
  7. So No Brown then?
  8. Watching us last year it was clear we needed the following; Outside run Tall Forward option Small Forward So far we've brought in Tomlinson, Langdon, Jackson, Pickett and potentially Brown and Bennell. imagine the coaches had a fair bit of influence on the wish-list
  9. first they gave away our draft pick and now theyre trying to get rid of my visit to the frank grey smith bar
  10. It's also the MFC way to be guilty/not guilty of an offence at the same time (eg Tanking)
  11. Either way we get a small forward, which will improve our squad either way
  12. So anywhere from 3 to outside the top 10, bit of a strange draft. Wonder if other club forum/message-boards are as conflicted as we are
  13. Damned if you don't, Damned if you do. Fitting for a team called the Demons
  14. to be fair we gave a away picks at the pointy end for Lever/May etc. Got a picks in the top 30 so hoping that changes next year (not that noms are the be all and end all etc)
  15. I love my cat but it urinates on the floor and I get annoyed at it....but the mess gets cleaned up and we're all good again. It's a bit similar to following Melbourne really.
  16. yeh that's how i see it too. They keep saying how open the Picks 3-10 are etc, so it's not too much of a loss going down 2 spots, and who knows what the order will be anyway.
  17. PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE THUGGGERY (read TUGGERY)
  18. Posts like this are making me optimistic about 2020 which is funny given how 2019 played out
  19. Todd Viney, not sure if Tingay ever wore one. Reckon Nate should wear one this season
  20. I like Preuss as a forward option but needs to work on a few things, if the price is right don't see an issue with bringing in Brown as squad depth
  21. I've changed my mind numerous times on who to take, and whether we should split etc. constantly second guessing myself, at least i'm not a list manager. Don't think Jackson makes much sense but could just be a smokescreen?
  22. A fan of any Melbourne player that wears a headband. But feel he could play wing, D or up front. That versatility can be handy but also note as commented above that Fritta excelled when just left to the one spot. Will comment once our list is confirmed and we see how magic Burgess really is.
  23. He's ranked our forward line the 14th best in the world, not too shabby.
  24. Wonder how similar the terms are for the extension. But good to know that jaguar (even if facing some issues themselves) see the benefit in sponsoring us in 2020.
