  1. I was on Squiggle last week and got it to Auto Predict the Season and it had us finishing 2nd. Did it today after the round had finished and it's not as pretty. Not sure how the permutations work though
  2. Agreed he should have been integrated a bit slower, especially as we've got a mountain of inside mids. Not hitting the panic button yet, as others have said it may take a few more weeks before he's back to his usual standard.
  3. The way I see it is before the season started I thought we’d narrowly miss the finals, instead we may narrowly miss top4. Don’t think top 4 is gone. Hoping for some serious bite and bounce back this Thursday. whatever happens this season, as long as we build on it the following year and not have a yo-yo like existence
  4. Just revisiting this; If we look back at 2019, 3 teams finished on 64 points and then another 2 on 60. Expect it to be as close this year, so after dropping this game it makes some of remaining Top4 clashes even more important. I still think there are twists and turns to come for not just Melbourne but all the clubs in the top 8. Even the clubs in 6th to 9th have proven on their day they can do damage. I mean it's good for the competition but unfortunate for us as we chase a flag.
  5. Still not sure if he burnt him or if it was a bad kick.
  6. The last holding the ball for Hunt, you could tell he wanted options. We were too static for large periods today
  7. The only positive to take out of this result is that it’s booted Richmond from the 8
  8. 16,xxx can’t remember exact figure. First loss I’ve seen live since end of 2019. Solemn walk home
  9. If the 2 that hit the post go win we win. But the concern is we’ve not played well for a while but still won ugly. Are we missing Melksham’s delivery into the f50? BBB may be a round plug in a square hole in terms of the system but as others have said, we are not scoring enough and have a goal scorer in the 2s
  10. Then medical sub Aaron vandenBerg comes in and slams Mummy into next year.
  11. Don’t want a tarnished debut.
  12. Was talking to some pals the other week about the Dees and where we could finish, they thought I was silly for saying we'd finish 4th and that'd be a failure after being on top etc. The chasing pack is on our heels, 5th place is only 2 wins behind us and we have to play some tough opponents. The top 5 will be extremely close this year IMO. I don't see this as Melbourne fan negativity, just lots of contenders this year.
  13. Risky strategy, if we lose, there me one less chair in front of me ?
  14. Italy will beat England in the final. Not sure what that means for us :(
  15. whatever it is, they'll come out laughing considering JUH was gifted to them.
  16. Imagine they'll wait until midweek announcement re: restrictions easing before tickets go on sale. either way imagine there will be an increase in attendance and given the fact its GWS we should all be sweet.
  17. It's an interesting one, i've been to 8 games this year and it's the first time opposition fans have interacted with me in a negative manner after the game. I was leaving the G alone and had several unprovoked comments directed at me by Essendon fans 'How much did you pay the umpires?" "Free Kick Melbourne" "Have you seen the police anywhere? The Bombers just got robbed" "Go to the snow" "Can't wait until you lose again" Like they were all harmless comments overall, but in the 7 other games I've been to, nothing said to me but somehow from leaving the ground to the corner of Bridge/Punt I copped 5 random comments aha Had lovely opposition fans next to me in certain games (Hawks/Saints) and had very civil conversations with them during the game about the state of play etc.
  18. Hi @Kick_It_To_Pickett - yes I misread about Saturday Re: Visitor tickets and as i posted yesterday "I stand corrected", but my initial point was about provisional members being valued less than Visitors. this was originally the case for Friday Night's game where Visitor Passes were being sold but provisional members did not have an entitlement to attend. Saw plenty of comments from Provisional Members on social media complaining about this and the MCC has since allowed Provisional members to attend that game - but not sure if that is due to low sales or the negative feedback. Either way hope as many of the Demonland faithful can get to the game this week. All the best
  19. ah i stand corrected! I thought they could buy 1 visitor ticket. Hopefully you'll get to the next game easy.
  20. Somehow ranked beneath a visitor's pass of a Full/Restricted Member. Don't think any visitor passes should have gone on sale FWIW
  21. MCC said they members reserve would be at a capacity of 25% the website says the capacity of the Mcc is just under 23,000 So using rough numbers a little under 5750.
  22. What is the capacity of level 4 anyway? I am sure $ plays a part to do with it, but imagine contract tracing easier if one area is blocked off as such. When I was at the cricket, I saw some bloke hop over the fence in level 4 of the members and then out the other end. He basically went scoreboard to scoreboard to change seats/meet people – would have crossed numerous zones in doing so.
  23. Got my MCC too. I was still waiting to hear back from someone if he could go, but come 3pm it was every man for himself and i am now going alone aha.
  24. Seems AAMI Park has got the go ahead for 50% for the AL Grand final, but that is ~15,000 people. Either way, hoping to be back shortly.
  25. 6000 MCC spots, will be quite the battle getting one. Wonder when they'll go on sale.
