  1. He's an assistant coach at Collingwood now as well. So perhaps its being paid a variety of ways.
  2. IF he is gone, what should we get in return?
  3. Vindication from my chief scout.
  4. All this soccer talk had me thinking, what would my MFC team be. I'm a sucker for a 4-2-3-1 formation. Striker - Melksham CAM - Petracca - had to include him. Wingers - Langdon and Kozzy (inverted role) Double Pivot - Salem and Rivers Defence: I;d probaly play Xavier Lindsay and Jake Bowey as my wingbacks. Disco Turner would be a CB but not sure May has the mobility - so probably throw H back there too. GK: Lever. Gawn probably the better choice for Height but want better delivery from the back.
  5. He’s clearly got talent, but hasn’t played more than 15 games in a season. I know players can be unlucky but we rolled the dice with McAdam and that hasn’t worked well (so far). You wouldn’t want to give up much for this either way
  6. Re: Langford - was wondering this morning if there was anyone we could peel away from Essendon given the supposed angst some of them have at the club at present
  7. I can see us winning our next 4 but losing the last 3. not sure what the learnings would be from this.
  8. but we could be bad in two competitions
  9. Cold weather, haven't played in Melbourne for a month - momentum all gone, 5 losses on the trot. I'll be there though
  10. Pretty sure 4th umpire on field came in in 2023. Either way we have had 7 more charges than 2024 and there's still 8 more rounds of the season and finals to come.
  11. Xerri a bit wobbly atm, No concussion test as yet, that would def help next week if he’s ruled out
  12. Ignoring positions on the field for a minute, i do feel like we need a bit more upper echelon height on our list. Our only players at 199+ are Verrall, Fullarton, Campbell and Gawn. Using those same examples Collingwood still have Moore, Cameron and Cox at 200+ playing regularly plus Frampton and 2 others who are +200cm Saints have King, Marshall Howard at 199+ playing regularly and 2 other fellas who are 200+ But also in conclusion is was absolutely despicable seeing Butler kick that many against us.
  13. Found it interesting the increase of charges; is it because the game is getting quicker and less contested? We've had the extra umpire for a while but it's still going up.
  14. Think the only player not making melodramatic facial expressions last week was clarry, and that's cos his face was wrapped up
  15. Did we make a blunder or was it a decision based on our list profile?
  16. If you remain an optus Customer you can get the following through the optus subHub website $9.99 access to stan premium and Stan sports until 7 January 2026 and then it reverts to $9.99 a month Optus-Sport on Stan only. So they are giving you a little taste test to get hooked on the service before leaving you only the optus products. i'm happy to be paying $9.99 which is about what I was already paying for Optus Sport anyway.
  17. Only 194cm! Give us a giant
  18. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1819043/injury-report-spargo-to-test Marty Hore is gone for the season with a shoulder injury, love the fella, very unlucky but Jeeeez that has not gone to plan “He hurt his shoulder at the start of the game. He was able to continue playing, but it kept getting sorer, which is why he didn’t finish. Follow-up scans have shown he’s ruptured his biceps tendon in the shoulder, and after consulting with a surgeon, it’s been recommended that we get it repaired. “Unfortunately for Marty, we’re unlikely to see him again this season,” Griffith confirmed.
  19. Was reading about umpire contact just before; It comes after a large increase in the number of incidents and charges for umpire contact in the past three years. In 2023, there were 20 charges for umpire contact across the season. Last year that increased to 56 charges, while there have been 60 charges already this season. Changed rules can now see repeat offenders heading to the tribunal.
  20. Look there are definitely some things we need to fix at the club, but also at the end of the day in terms of Trade Targets and Free Agency - we're not a destination club and I'm not sure if we ever will be in my lifetime. There are just some clubs in the league that don't have the drawing power of some of the larger clubs. We end up having to pay overs for certain players or hope none of the big boys are circling. I know this is a little defeatist but i think it's realistic.
  21. Disco all good? Hobbled around a bit late last game
  22. afl.com.auMATCH REVIEW: Fiorini and May in the clear, 22 charges laidThe match review findings from Saturday's round 16 games are in5 players for us got fined (May, Salem, Viney, Oliver, Melksham) engaging in a melee/wrestle 6 Suns got a fine for engaging in a melee/wrestle (Noble, Walter, Anderson, Humphrey, Collings, Clohesy) In addition to Ben King getting a fine for Instigator of a Melee/Wrestle. Personally, reckon the fine for instigating a melee should be higher than engaging in a melee
  23. I'd assume it would be easier being placed in a functioning backline in a team that was playing very well than what we are doing now though. The trade up for Kolt was a gamble, but too soon for this type of thread.
  24. Fox SportsAFL’s newest and most important stat: Speed of Ball expla...Truth in Pies shock as AFL’s fastest... and slowest teams revealed: Every club ranked 1-18 I'm not quite sure what to make of this.
