  1. It's difficult only having one sub, need to balance the risk of early injury vs getting quick/fresh legs in at the end. Chuck has positive attributes, but they're only shown when everything is going well. To be a good sub IMO you need to have one standout attribute whether that be versatility/pace/physicality/marking/goals or whatever - and Spargo doesnt really tick any of those boxes. As i said in another thread, if he's not starting, he probably should be lining up for Casey.
  2. Can someone please explain the last 8 seconds to me. The infringement. the pause, no one following in NWM
  3. Its an interesting one, our injury list hasn't been that bad this year, but our 4th quarters have been diabolical
  4. I am ready to walk right now, right into the ocean
  5. This still exists, but time is also our rarest commodity.
  6. Would love some journos to ask some tough questions about that last quarter - but fear we wont get a real honest answer anyway. What did we do to stem the bleeding/try get control back? The credits are fast expiring from his account.
  7. But if are talking about Football, id much rather see Luker have a go next week than Petty. I actually like Spargo, but I don't think he's a good choice of a sub. So at the moment, if he's not starting, he should be at Casey. I know Sharp doesnt set the world on fire but he's a good sub. if not him who else?
  8. Words have truly escaped me. I wonder what the crowd will be next week - against West Coast at Marvel early Saturday afternoon. Any motivation I have to attend that game has currently been zapped out of me, this might change by Saturday but gee whiz.
  9. I donโ€™t trust the afl to right this wrong.
  10. How is May tracking anyway? I know he is missing one game with concussion, but in the event he will miss 2 - is an appeal worth it given where we sit on the table and the costs. and Yes i'd love to stick it to the AFL, just thinking pragmatically
  11. who are you playing him instead of?
  12. how do you have sufficient time to slow down when you were a split second and/or a bounce away from winning the ball?
  13. Ben has 45 goals this season, wish one of our young key forwards was a bust like this then
  14. curnow apparently wants to get to the suns? wonder what happens there. Another big boy for GC tho, assume white Jnr will be ours.
  15. next thing you'll be telling me is Picket fence is actually Jeffo.
  16. I have re-read my message and it is a little ambiguous and i cannot edit it. Just to be 10000000% clear i'd be relucant to - play kids against Collingwood when we can damage their season NOT id be reluctant to negatively impact Collingwood's season.
  17. Moore deserved punishment for the knee BUT they also cleared Hugh Jackson for his knee on Zorko, so they're at least being a little consistent here. Both deserved punishment however.
  18. I'm conflicted. A lot of soccer clubs give academy prospects a debut game in the last home game of the season if there is nothing left to play for. Give them a touch experience, which i do like. BUT for us - we are playing Collingwood last game of the season, and if we can impact their finishing position id be reluctant to do so But whether he is ready or not is up for him to prove in the build up, if he has a bad game, it will be long be forgotten before March 2026. Also is Luker is reading this i will now refer to him as Lurker Kentfield.
  19. I'll be in GA with a Saints supporting pal, i hope we win so i can watch him suffer. But alas i feel it may be me doing the suffering.
  20. Essendon will prob have 3 picks in the first 10-12 (adjusted for free agency compo and nga) Their pick, our pick and the likely Sam Draper compo pick. They've had 4 rising star nominations this year, so think they'll happily trade 2 picks for Reid? That could leave West Coast with Picks 1, 2 (Oscar Allen Compo?) and 2 other early picks. Not bad for a rebuild.
  21. I think we need a mature key forward to help usher in the new fellas. So whilst possibly short sighted there are benefits regardless of who the old timer is.
  22. Weโ€™re not the only club to ask the question
  23. Just saw this is being heard on Wednesday, plenty more juice to squeeze out of this one for the afl media then.
