i dont mind that he's leaving i've always thought he was a limited player and had a ceiling but we need to get capable replacements in to continue to improve the list and that's the frustrating part is that that isn't the case we seem to be content with players leaving and we're putting a lot of faith in senior 22 not getting injured or some young, fresh players who haven't set the world alight at vlf level making the step up

we're never winning another flag if we lose even half the players linked to the exit this year. firstly losing majak and mbrown is a blow to our tall depth given the injury history of the blokes in front of them and the maturity of their bodies. then LJ goes and suddenly we have about 3 tall players on the list and now Hunt, Bedford, Weid and Tommo are all gettable and suddenly we have literally zero mature bodies outside our 22. one injury on each line and we'll be exposed and playing injured blokes by round 8. something HAS to be coming the other way. i know JT is an excellent draft recruiter but he's built the list now we need to plug holes, buy smart and top up. not keep going to the draft again

Duncan 32/33 menegola 30 and injured, touhy 32 going 33. issie smith 33 going 34. and they just slot in a 24 yo hb/mid to replace them for the next 5+ years. same deal with henry just walks into the rohan spot in 12/24 months time

the problem with them is that they're so subjective, like how can u have a clause like that be so black and white in nature, obviously it won't cover every specific possible scenario in depth so it gives the club so much power to just cut the deal whenever they please because of "behaviour" and they can sort of decide what is or isn't behaviour yknow so it makes sense for any player to know exactly the criteria they need to work between to fulfil their contract obligations and this isn't afforded to JDG here

i love sparkle he's been an iconic player amongst my mates and i since he was drafted (they're cats fans :() he doesnt really improve our list massively but could definitely do a job at WC linke jarmaine jones has or freo could take him as mature depth for a year or two given their exodus. he's a wa boy. consistency never really his issue in terms of form but in terms of selection and role more outside his control then yes u r right hes a WA boy and with dunkley and ashcroft coming in he might be wise to look elsewhere but they also trusted him in the finals so they definitely rate him and that pig zorko and lyons seem to be transitioning out of the guts there so maybe theres mniutes where have we said this officially?

no he'd be stuck at the suns still and whilst he probably plays games next year they clearly prioritise weller/budarick/powell for whatever reasons probably some being the fact they're on less coin and also probably because they havent expressed they wanna play as midfielders like apparently bowes has the suns see bowes as an asset they have plenty of and he's a player who will have suitors therefore they're prepared to offer his money out rather than smoothing it while other players who have less to offer other clubs or who they have less similar types to on their list they will smooth out. i think his body is fine he's only 24 he's only had one injury interrupted year and that was this year iirc

feel you're being kind, hasnt got near it today unfortunately, doesn't really reflect on his talent. he's got ability but has had a down day and if what you're saying is true and i've not really noticed where he has (thats how little hes been involved) then yeh he's been done no favours by being played on a wing as it doesn't suit his skill set and give him the best chance to perform at a high level
