  1. I hope at our new training complex we build, we get a life member locker room for our mens and womens team so they can stop in and do laps on an oval, access the gym or canteen when in retirement. Speak to a lot of the old boys who retired and the issues they have with depression because there bodies are banged up and the nature of being a part of a group thats so close one day and gone the next is very tough. We should be opening our doors more and as Choco said this is our life.
  2. Not sure if posted anywhere yet but Greeny posted this on twitter Great to see the boys, old and new, working together
  3. I wouldn't have mind Williams as a senior coach if Goody got the sack. There's a lot to say about how certain people in the media would literally refuse to talk about us on their shows because we were too inconsistent. Williams will give them something to talk about.
  4. 600k and a second rounder Tom Browne is saying. I have no info on if that is true just that he is out of collingwood.
  5. Looking at it with logic i'm not sure how we fit him in the midfield group without moving one of Harmes or Brayshaw out. A winger like Phillips makes sense because we only have 1 maybe 2 if you count Baker.
  6. Keep an eye on this one. Heard today he's done with Collingwood and is looking for a new home. We are one of the few teams that can afford him. (+ pies are happy to pay a % of his future wage)
  7. Another one for the good guys. Treloar is an interesting one, keep an eye on.
  8. Pick 23 will be pushed back to early thirties with all the compo picks being thrown around
  9. He will be announced next week sometime
  10. Phillips seems like a no brainer. He is better then what we have on the wing no matter what because we only have one winger in Langdon. Also he's younger and i'm sure the money we had planned for Smith is much more than what Phillips would be taking right now.
  11. I know little about Phillips but i think 90% of the comp is a better kick than Polec
  12. As a supporter, I had a love hate relationship with Frost. Clearly talented but made far too many mistakes for me.
  13. Friend at work who told me Brown was meeting with Melbourne before i saw anything in the media or on any forums. I didn't think much of it because i knew we were linked, next day he says it went well and hasn't heard of anyone else seriously in for him. I haven't heard anything else about any other meetings or trade agreements etc.. but others seem to have.
  14. he's coming, pick 23 i imagine
  15. https://www.afl.com.au/news/515600/phantom-form-guide-extra-the-next-15-prospects Bowey looks interesting
  16. That's why you don't trade players who bleed and red and blue. We almost took it for granted he would he sign on.
  17. May's closing in on 30. I'd hope we get 10 years out of all the other names mentioned. Which is why it's important that the current kids we have develop so we can add more names to that list other than 4 listed. As mentioned here previously, 2021 is the year that will define this football club. Sniffing around Brown and Smith tells me the club know this and they want to win now. Oliver being unhappy, Viney taking his time to commit and the looming contract expiriy of Trac will have the suits on edge. In my mind, Brown and Smith won't cost us a lot in picks just wage cap. Moving on a Brayshaw as well could give us room for Merrett, who we need to be in for.
  18. I don't know why we don't just re consider our expectations of Weid and T. Mac, keep developing Jackson up forward and invest heavily in a medium size forward? Weid and T. Mac can crash packs all day, Kozzy, Fritsch and Trac looked most likely all year. Imagine if we landed De Goey or Papley, both absolute spanners but both are match winners who like Trac can destroy a one on one and free up other forwards.
  19. Port brought in a bunch of former players this season and sky rocketed with a numpty of a coach. Truth is you can either way, but i don't think the brain's trust we have are better than what West Coast have as an example. If, after an internal review, the people that make the business decisions feel as if there is no football experience on the board then that's their call.
  20. I do go by the principal that the most qualified person should get the job. I think back to when Jackson was president with Roos as Head Coach and basically director of football. We had a good balance of a good business mind who got us into a good position before leaving and footy man who knew what he was doing. To me despite some of the big words from Pert and Barlett, they don't know football like Roos did. Hopefully, Brad Green can with his experience of the game and his small time in a coaching box fill that void.
  21. We need to be in for Merrett.
  22. Viney is 26 and a match winner when he is purely on the inside. I don't like the idea of him being a pressure forward or just a run with player even though he would give it 110%. Brayshaw and Harmes should feel like there spot is threatend. We need outside mids and neither Harmes or Brayshaw have strengths that are better than Oliver, Viney or Tracs strengths.
  23. Joe Daniher ?? - more worth a crack than Hogan or Brown Alex Witherden Lions. ✅ - Yes please Jared Polec Kangas ? - North would have to pay us for me to accept this Ben Brown Kangas ? - Would be fine with it, but think Daniher more worth a crack Quinton Narkle. Cats ? - Who? Isaac Cumming Giants. ? - Wouldn't get ahead of Rivers or Salem at HB. Rather Witherden.
