  1. What I liked about TMac was he appeared to moving more freely leading up the ground and guess what the players actually lowered their eyes and hit him up. Been on this for a long time and if they can convert this to real games then we will be OK. TMac leading up taking marks and moving ball on quickly to the other forwards plus putting the odd goal through himself will have the opposition worried. Only short vision however he looked to be moving well.
  2. Spot on Demon3. Our so called leaders and better players NEED to step up and assist these newbies as much as they can. See it to often when opposition come hard at us our leaders (Gawn aside) seem to go hiding in the stands. If this is a close one and I suspect it will be then this is the time for Melk, Jones, Jetta, TMac and the likes of Oliver and Brayshaw to lead the way for another close win. Essendon were only just against the Swans and I do not rate them as much as others and a chance for us to go 2/1
  3. We all have our own opinions as selectors however mine is minimal or no changes. A win is a win and believe the players, particularly those that didn't perform need another another game under their belt and if again they put in a bad one then drop them. We need continuity so they can develop understanding between themselves. 7 changes for round 2 is enough. 8 if you throw in the late change for ANB back in for Kozie. Maybe Kozie in for someone ( take your pick) but that is all I would do.Hard to drop ANB as he started well and actually lowered his eyes to hit up Fritta for our first goal. Yes he went missing along with most but still hard to drop.
  4. Drastic changes with plenty of inexperience but I'm excited to see how our newbies go but feel for us to win this one we will need our better, more senior players like Gawn, Oliver, Jones etc to play to their very best and Trac to break out and have a blinder.
  5. Great stuff. I've been saying this all along in a few threads and couldn't agree more.
  6. Need to get your hand off it !!
  7. Giving it to our fellow supporters down in Melb mate!! Played golf today and bloody warm out in sun but yes come late arvo it gets a bit cool. Maybe about my old towns top temp of around 15-17 at 4'ish
  8. Agree. Exciting times for us old Dee supporters with Kossie, Langdon, Tomlinson now Jackson, Rivers, Bennell and maybe Smith coming in looks good for our future. Bring on Saturday. Will be in loungeroom up here in Qld in 25 degree warmth with plenty of VB's.
  9. Can't believe some of you people. Carlton fought back and we were putrid. Give me a break. We were about 5 goals down at qtr time then improved and stayed with the eagles for rest of game kicking 47 points each for last 3 qtrs. On top of this we kept WC to only 78 points over in WA whereas the Blues played at their and our home ground at the G. Yes we could have been better with our forward entries but that is all we need to get right to become a bloody good team. Stop bagging us and geeing up opposition like Carlton. Mind you we lose to them on Saturday and my tune may well change!!
  10. Amazing actually as we also lost by about 4 goals but over in Perth and after being told it will be the last game for a while. Got me beat how the press etc. love the Blues but get stuck into us. Only one thing to do and give this mob a horrible beating.
  11. Getting slow in my old age.
  12. Well it is basically half way through the season so the Clowns are spot on!!
  13. I think you are on the money here. Doubt whether there will be major changes after just one round however if Hibberd and Jetta continue their poor form against Carlton then we need to look a bit more closely to dropping them. Both very experienced and I reckon Jetta knows he put in a poor one and will be the man for Betts and will turn it around ( I hope). Can't have an inexperienced player in Lockhart on someone like Betts at this early stage in his career.
  14. Couldn't agree more Ron. A fit and raring to go HB will be one of biggest stories to come out of this weird season and will give us poor demented Dees's supporters some hope. Big Maxy on Fox tonight mentioned also a match simulation on Saturday and HB went well. That in itself is a plus as means he came up well from last weeks contact training/match drills and now seems to have put a good block of training in without issues. This guy can play and only hope he keeps training well with no hiccups. Everything crossed for him!!
  15. Correct. Love to have Penndles, Cotchin or Hodge in there letting these show ponies know exactly what is required. Only then will Clarry and his mates become elite players. Nothing less.
  16. Not fussed on who gets a game. Just want players that are prepared to put in 110% and the midfield guys to finally realise you HAVE to run both ways. Nearly all our Mids just like to win the ball in middle/forward and are not prepared to gut run back to assist defence. Reason why WC Mids kicked goals and ours didn't. Our boys just trot along in middle of ground and play with no accountability. Look at some past footage and 3 or 4 of our players trotting around centre all by themselves when oppo have the ball. This is not good enough.
  17. Reckon you could throw HB in there as well Collar
  18. Back on track people. It is about HB not crowds. Just trust HB has pulled up well today and ready for the next session.
  19. Really is a nothing tweet from Ralph. just making up things whilst in isolation. If he had a half a brain he would have mentioned the Wagners, Dunkley & maybe Spargo or Hunt first. Keep the young guys and Bradtke as work in progress
  20. With you 100% on this.
  21. Bit confusing as Auld in his presser mentioned Carl V Melb at MCG also.
  22. I found the article to be quite interesting. Looking at our midfield with the inclusions of Langdon and Tomlinson and having May and Lever playing together on a consistent basis we seem to have the cattle to push upwards. More up than the wooden spoon I would think !!!. Now all we need to do is the bleeding obvious. Transition of the pill into our forward line.
  23. Another thing. Anyone of you want to back us for the SPOON I'll cover you. Put your money where your mouth is!!
  24. Agree plus we went over LATE the night before and had crap preparation. As Pates mentioned we stayed with WCoast for 3 qtrs and only lost by 4 and a bit goals. Some of you people just love getting stuck into the club and do not stop to think what a poor situation we were in round one. This 2 teams playing is not relevant. They were at home in a weird situation which would have been a benefit compared to us getting in late and not the normal interstate preparation. Maybe if WCoast is the professional side as ET mentioned then FOLLOW them in lieu of the Dees. Let's see what the next couple of rounds (whenever played) bring before going over the top.
  25. I went for Ronald Dale over Robbie JUST and the scoreline was tight with Robbie just getting over the line. This time I have to go for Robbie. He has Neita covered in my opinion. Another tight one coming up me thinks!!
