CHANGES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
Lets play the kids even if they can't play that well. Need to look to next year and get games into these youngsters. The kids from Port killed us plus Boak. No use playing the same blokes that keep on doing the same pathetic things. I'd rather us lose with at least kids having a go.

CHANGES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
Other than May, Max, Hibberd, Jack and Trac and a special mention to Lockhart you can take your pick on who you want dropped but Fritter, Hannan, Picket, Jackson and TMac can all go . Basically that's our forward line and Weeds also. They all as far as I'm concerned should be playing netball and still would't even get the round ball. Most of this team are soft co..s. Jones is also finished. Sick and tired of these blokes jogging around by themselves with no attempt to assist. Make a statement MFC or your doomed to remain as could have beens.

Attendance Port Game
I don't want to be a pain and bore you Dee supporters but as you can see from my initial post and your support on this I'm pee'd off and will not let it go as I am now convinced the AFL/Gabba are playing with us and being very disrespectful to the MFC. Not convinced at all I will get tickets for even the Magpies game. Following is a email I sent to my local Qld Govt member who also happens to be the Sports Minister in Mick De Brenni and I CC'd in the ABC, Fox, AFL & MFC Quote "I’m in your electorate at Shailer Park and need to inform you of what I believe to be a ridiculous situation with the AFL game on Thursday night between Melbourne and Port Adelaide at the Gabba. I am a Melbourne Demons Qld member and enquired to the club about purchasing tickets for my 2 sons and 2 Grandsons to attend however was told that only 250 tickets each for both Melbourne and Port Adelaide are allocated for this game and that I would not be able to attend. You are the elected member for Springwood and also Sports Minister and your government led by the Premier are very good at getting in the media and telling all what a great job you are doing in getting AFL to Qld in these difficult times even sprouting to hold the Grand Final here. In addition you want to get people in jobs and improve the economy however come Thursday night only 500 people can attend. A friend of mine who is a Gabba Trust member informed me that the Gabba members area is also closed on Thursday night. I have been reliably told that this is due to cost factors alone as the Gabba or AFL or both do not want the added cost to EMPLOY extra people to supply security, food/drink venues etc. I would have thought that allowing 2-5k people in and paying a few more workers would be a better sight for the Government and AFL than only about 500 hidden up in the rafters at the Gabba. This is not a good look for your Government, Gabba or the AFL as I believe those Melbourne and Port Adelaide members and supporters plus avid AFL supporters in Brisbane, which are many would attend this game. Finally as a Melbourne member normally each year all I can get to see up here is when we play Lions or Suns and now in 2020 due to the fact that most of the games are being played up here because of the Virus issues down south we all were excited to pay our money and watch them play other teams only to be told it will not be the case. I need to let you know of this and no doubt you will do nothing or pass the buck!! It’s a real shame that we are unable to watch LIVE this game on Thursday. As you can see I have CC’d in the ABC , my club and Fox Sports for their information. Trust you will take this on." Unquote. Sorry for continuing on this but if Pert etc. at the club do nothing at least I can try. Why can't we see our team play live up here in Brisbane when the Govt. is allowing 50% capacity NOT 500!!

Attendance Port Game
Mate of mine is a Carlton supporter and also a Gabba Trust member and went Saturday using his Trust tickets and said there were a few thousand there, mainly Carlton supporters as North have limited number up here. This is what I don't get. You can have a few thousand at a Carlton/North game but 500 only for Melb/Port. In any case it is not the fault of the club ( but should not stop them lobbying the AFL) as this mate tried to get me into the Trust on Thursday and he got replied it is all closed so Gabba members are also not allowed. It has to be the AFL and/or Gabba as Govt. also have said you can have 50% capacity at games.

Attendance Port Game
That's where the club needs to be proactive and lobby the AFL to allow at least 1k then just maybe the Brisbane members of both clubs may get in. In any case I think it's poor form. Back in 80's used to take my son to most games in Melb and now want to take kids and grand kids along. Pay membership to basically only see Lions/Suns games and like 2 years ago we did not play up here. This is a great chance to see us play Port, North and Magpies live and who ever after that

Attendance Port Game
I'm a Qld member and went to the Lions game on Coast using my free interstate ticket. Enquired via email to the club today on whether i could buy a ticket for Thursday's game and received the following response. Quote."There is going to be only a small allocation of tickets for this week’s game, so we are prioritizing members who haven’t yet used their free ticket allocation. There is a ballot running at the moment. If there are tickets left after this we will email members on Wednesday to be able to purchase. There is a chance there won’t be enough left though.". Unquote. This is an absolute joke. Believe it is a MFC home game and can't even buy a ticket. MFC & Port members here in Brisbane would be lucky to get to 500 total. Have not even been asked or informed how to enter the ballot. This is either a Gabba or AFL directive to keep the crowd to a bare number to save costs however our club just rolls over and takes it up where you know where. They should be asking for enough seats to satisfy us members up here. Want to see games up here other than against Lions or Suns and this is what you get served with. Will be thinking hard on renewing membership next year for myself and twin Grandsons.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Also I believe pendles out or 4 weeks so beat Port Thursday and we have a great chance to win the next 3 in Adel, Nth & Maggies. For me I want Tom Mac and Tomlinson in for possibly Jetta to be rested after his knocks and Bennell. Go big in forwards with Kozie, Fritta and Hannan to say down and at bottom of packs, not in them.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
Yes we still panic to much. Umpiring may have been poor but we received more frees than Lions

My 3 word player analysis V Brisbane
Have to agree. Also I was at game and he made some good positions when we had ball and our guys would not kick to him. Strange.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
I was at the ground and we seemed to panic to many times and returned to all in and no one on outside. On a few occasions even Kossie was sucked into the contest even in pack marking in lieu of staying on outside and getting a loose ball. Many times the ball spilled out and only Brisbane players were there. Must correct this if we are to have a run at the finals. And whilst I think Bennell can be a good player for us his efforts out there tonight were shocking. Watched him closely a few times and never pushed hard to assist his mates. Just a lack of effort. Harmes and Brayshaw need to find some good form soon also.

TEAMS: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
Maybe a wet track but I live up here and you can't rely on the forecast. At this stage only 1-5mm expected with sunny breaks. I suspect it will be fine by start. With Jones, I agree he has sore shoulders over the years, carrying most but i want to see him run back hard when they have ball instead of jogging through middle.

Scratch Match: Carlton vs Melbourne, Richmond & Essendon
Interesting. Bit of a dog's breakfast to me. At least they get a run
-
CHANGES: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
I'm in between Brisbane and Gold Coast and just starting to have light rain now. Forecast for GC on Sunday is 8-15mm mainly morning and early afternoon with some sunny breaks so hopeful by 6pm it will be OK. In any case better playing in rain than a heavy dew.

CHANGES: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
Not that worried about Cameron. We win midfield battle ensures they attack from defence and gives us time to block the space in their forward line. My main guys I would like a hard tag on are Neale and Andrews. Harmes to Neale and someone to stay on Andrews even if he goes to someone else.

CHANGES: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
Mainly in morning. Suspect it will clear in arvo and be fine for game time. At least with cloud around it shouldn't be dewy

Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
With you here mate. Most have a cry but as the old saying goes "when the going gets tough the tough get going". It's up to us to play good footy to watch, win games and the AFL will then start gifting us prime time games and just maybe look at us like the Magpies, Bombers etc. I have no issues at all with the fixture and I'm sure the Coaching staff and players will take it in their stride. Beat Brisbane Sunday on the GC and then Port also up here in Qld the following week and our season is set up nicely. No use whinging about it. GET ON WITH IT.

Demons QLD Hub
Yep I got my 3 complimentary tickets (myself and twin grand sons) after email from club. Great effort by the club and much appreciated. Mate of mine who has interstate membership with Carlton does not get complimentary tickets so good on you MFC

CHANGES: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
We need to keep a settled team so no changes for me. Brisbane back home albeit at GC will be tough. They are back home and drive 40 minutes down road to game where we fly in Monday and need to settle in again. Will be a great challenge but pull this one off and the Comp and Media will be all over us.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Gold Coast
Spot on "Balls" I've been crying out for our Mids etc to lower their eyes, have a quick look around and kick in front of leading forwards. Big improvement last night resulting in us kicking highest score so far. Below the shoulders we are as good as anyone. Starting to get better above the shoulders and hopefully this improvement continues and onwards and upwards from here. I hope!!
-
CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
No change. Trust TMac gets up. I thought Jetta was fine. His pressure was good and deserves another game. Let's get some continuity into this team now please. No use making changes for players to come in that are not going to be better than those they are replacing.

NON MFC: Round 06
Yep. To quick for those umpires. About time they sort Treloar out. Just about throws every time in traffic. What about those Dee rejects. Frost I would say was just OK but Frawley and Scully were next to being liabilities.
