  1. Chicken legs alright. Noticed at Maroochy his calves are very skinny compared to the other players.
  2. Great news and if he can get fit and plays a few games in back in of this year he will be regarded as the recruit of the year for next to nothing. Excited about HB, Jacko, Kossie, Rivers and Brown. Would be nearly our best recruiting year to date.
  3. Congrats and well deserved. A loyal servant of the club and in past one of our best players.
  4. Yesterday - Kossie did nearly all or if not most of the drills including match sim where he stuffed a few kicks. - Melk was running on other oval with Rehab guys. - Oscar did most of drills. -Not sure on Dunks. Didn't notice him. _ Hannan on other oval but did a few bits of training. Maybe a week or two away from full training?
  5. Also mentioned to May that Brown is a good get as he can cover both back and forward. Response was. "He'll be forward". Backs in good shape. If the case then he will keep Weid honest. Brown did the match sim up forward and gave some options. He, Weid (if he can clunk some marks) and Mac with the others like Ftitter, Melk etc should at least see us improve up front.
  6. Just home after spending night up at Coolum. Couple extra comments from those already posted. Jackson left training about 3/4 way trough with a slight limp. Did not look bad, Just that they have to go off with any minor issue. Tom Mac left on Saturday as wife had baby thus why he was not there yesterday Jetta reckons Kozzie will be a JET and fan fav when he plays first game but said he needs to keep a lid on him as he wants to go at a million miles an hour. Said both he and Jackson will be guns for us. Had about 15 minute chat to May. He also said Kozzie and Jackson will be guns and Rivers not far behind. Had a big session last Friday with full inter match practice and backs working well together. Squad in great shape and also mentioned that Tom Mac is up and about and was a handful on Friday. If anybody around Sunny Coast tomorrow they will be back at the ground at 7.30am for a full training session then flying home. Today is a rest day.
  7. Just back from Maroochy and had a good chat to HB. Mentioned his calf is good and will get into full training in 2 weeks. Good news and lets all hope the next 2 weeks are injury free for him and he gets some training in. He's loving it at the Dees and hopeful of playing games this year. Looks in great shape.
  8. Family drove up from Brissie today and staying at Coolum. Great spot right on beach and in fact Jones and a few of the boys were around town and having a feed then surf. Will be at Maroochy in morning and looking forward to seeing the lads train ( can't say boys anymore!!). However I am well into 60's and have no idea how to post via mobile so will let others report.
  9. My contact up on Sunny Coast that told me about Maxy (great news being not as bad as first thought) chatted with HB and he mentioned calf better than what was reported but is aware if it pings again he is gone as a Dee.
  10. Great news and hope he is there on Sunday in good spirits as Grand Kids really only want to see him and maybe Trac.
  11. As I mentioned in initial post I trust and hope it is only a minor problem. Will be at Maroochy on Sunday along with family and hopefully Big Maxy is there and feeling better.
  12. EDITED 31 JANUARY 2020 7:05PM I sincerely trust my contact at Maroochy is completely wrong but he told me Maxy left training today with what appears to be a knee injury. He was in rooms getting attention and in a fair bit of pain. Contact could hear him yelling. Let's hope for the best as nothing out in media as yet.
  13. Bloody hope so DD as my Sons mate up here in Qld works at GC in fitness area and told son if (and probably a BIG if) he does get himself fit he can be a gun for us. Fingers crossed for HB
  14. Seeing you will miss the open training on Sunday I would keep an eye open on the website for twitter details etc as they normally go to the Maroochy FC every 2nd day so you could pop along as its a big open complex. Also maybe as a tourist go along to Twin Waters where I assume they will be staying as in past and you may catch them wondering around doing their stuff.
  15. In again thanks. Docs Demons and not sure what comp I was in last year.. Cheers
  16. Big front runners as in the past and struggle big time if Stoinis and Maxwell fail. No back up in the batting at all. Heat if they get in or Sixers for me. Stars are just like the morning. They are fading.
  17. [censored] we are training the house down. We must be back!
  18. Agree and not bad for a club that finished 2nd last in 19. To obtain New Era and keep the others is a great thing for the club.
  19. Agree then you can spend rest of day on Sunny Coast with family or if want to beat traffic back to Brisbane go after training. Not much traffic south at that time.
  20. Of course he is going to say that. He is employed by us. Imagine if he came out and said I AM UNIMPRESSED!!
  21. Totally agree. We need our best 6-10 players (which includes above 3) to improve that little bit and play to full potential plus the last 10-15 players to go up 10-20% and we'll be right up there.
  22. A tragic happening but that game at the G against Essendon the following season was a great tribute to him with the Everly Bros song as the players ran out with his wife standing on the side. Plus we won for him.
  23. Used to go watch Prahran a bit in those days seeing old Blackburn team mates in Rod Appleton and Alan Peach. Many a fine Sunday arvo was had by all particularly seeing we were allowed in those days to take our Tallies in !! By the way that Fitzroy player may have been Appleton as he had a couple of seasons at the Roys. Those days in the VFA were great. Used to love Dandenong play Port Melbourne. Sure bet their would be a BIFFO
