3 goals from 6 games. Thats all we've seen thus far. Haven't seen anything to suggest he will be a forward. His foot skills around the body are weak and his overall kicking is lacking. He is clearly a ruckman and I do see him as a potential AA ruckman but definitely not as a forward.

That's one of the most foolish things I've read. He's kicked 3 goals in 6 games! Surely 20 years of consistently overrating our young players has taught you something? Hogan, Bate, Tapscott, Strauss, Blease, Maric, Trengove, Scully, Toumpas, Morton, Watts etc. etc. etc. LJ hasnt showed that he has the goal kicking nous or foot skills yet. And doesnt even come close as a forward to Roughead, Naughton, Max King, Ben King, Jeremy Cameron, Hipwood, Tom Lynch, Gunston, Ben Brown, Darling, Charlie Dixon, Membrey, and about 500 more.

I actually think the opposite. I dont think he'll make it as a forward. I think he is only a ruckman.

And the recruiters would watch a lot more football than Sheahan so regardless of who we take, I know that its a very calculated decision. 'He's a rookie chance if that'. So you've interviewed all the 80 odd prospective draftees? You've sat in on the psychologists testing of the draftees. You've seen all the players play (several times)? No. How could you possibly make a comment like this? Good job reading a couple of phantom drafts and thinking that you're an expert. Each club has several full time staff that spend probably 60 hours a week trying to put players in the correct order.

There is no pass mark for Goodwin. He's already failed. Last season was the season he needed to get us in the top 8, and probably top 4 but we played some awful footy. must go asap

No wonder we never see eye to eye on players Binman. If your favourite players were Jack Watts amd Oscar Mcdonald then thats a comment im not sure i can take seriously. What about Matthew Bate or Gysberts? My favourite players are the ones who have a crack and put their body on the line. Watts and OMac never did that. And put simply they just werent very good. For the record my favourite players were Neitz, Farmer, Jeff White, Scott Thompson and Aaron Davey. You know, actually good players!! People are so blinded by their loyalty that they can't see the forest for the trees. Many people on demonland said that Morton was the next prototype midfielder, Bate was the next pavlich, strauss the next gilbee, tapscott the next shannon hurn, blease the next brent Harvey, Watts the next riewoldt. the list goes on and on and on. im so over it. As a club our culture is terrible and people like you that like Mcdonald and Watts because they are 'nice boys' is half the problem with our club. i still cant believe we traded next years 1st rounder. Most of the good players are being snapped up this year as academy picks. I dont know which players are considered as 'value' that has speed.

seriously stfu. grundy is a multiple AA. So when will LJ be multiple AA? 3 years? 5? never? Yes Luke Jackson looks good but Grundy has already reached the top. Jackson isnt even a number 1 ruck! and wont be for several more years.

Melbourne has spoken and every other afl team has said that they wouldn't give anything up for him. So that's his value, 0. A big lesson for everyone to not overrate our own players. a nice signing off was oscar starting the game in Brisbane against the Lions 15m off his opponent. Sums him up. Textbook smart, street smart, footy dumb.

Thank God. He was a liability for so many years. And it just goes to show how blinded and biased some demonlanders are. For people, including the mfc, to expect to get a trade for OMac highlights just how misguided and biased their opinions are. He was the Jack Watts of the backline. And was gifted most of his games.

i dont think its wise. i see us sliding to bottom 6. especially with goodwin being sacked by round 5 creating a bit of instability. The game against freo didnt give me much hope for next season
