well the list would be a lot better off if I was in charge. Watts would've been cut after 3 seasons, Oscar McDonald after 2, i would've hit the draft and got King over May. I would've made a strong decision and cut Jones this season and not gift a guy games to get him to 300.

in terms of games yes, he has exceeded his pick 50 value. But I don't think he has ever shown any afl traits since day 1.

Trading or delisting Oscar McDonald would be an early Xmas present. No idea what the club saw in him.

I think his form in 2017 has shown he can play amazing footy. A goal kicking mid that works hard. All of the traits you mention are traits you've seen from him whilst playing in the wrong position which effects ones confidence and doesn't play his best footy. And for all of the traits you mentioned I can name just as many for brayshaw and viney. And at the end of the day, the dynamic of our midfield group did not work. That's proven.

when you're 13th at stoppages then yeah he should be getting more minutes. no chance simon Goodwin even thought about it

Has been played out of position for years. he's a pure mid and has a high ceiling if given the chance.

I agree on a lot of the young players but: - Viney is frustrating for a lot of fans. - Brayshaw hasn't produced for 2 seasons - Fritsch's inaccuracy is killing the team - Petty looks good but has chronic injury concerns. - Sparrow looks fringe to me. skills aren't great. - Jordan is too slow for afl. We need to stop chasing guys like Cameron. We've seen with McDonald how quickly the end can some for older players.

I hope we get involved in some trades because we are nowhere near contending with this list and with no high picks at this year's draft we need to be inventive.

i dont understand why people are disinterested in Ben Ronke. I've got no idea what he's been doing the last 2 seasons but in 2018 I remember him kick a bag of 7 and a bag of 5. That's enough for me to be interested and is ahead of any small forwards we have from kicking a bag.

I'm sort of torn. Yes, the AA team wasn't picked on position but if my life depended on it and I had to choose either Dusty or Butler to play in the forward pocket, I would pick Dusty. Dusty only kicked 11 goals because he plays a lot of midfield. But he has shown this season what he can do when played forward. And gone are the days of set positions. They might start in a position but after that most players in the midfield and forward line roam up and around and go everywhere. That's why I'm sort of glad they didn't choose wingmen. There's probably only 6 or 7 players that play wing every week so picking say a mcluggage over a guy like Bontempelli or Macrae or Guthrie makes the team weaker because the sample size of wings is so small.

I love how everyone complains about Weideman and says that he wont make it etc but, when you compare the 2, Weideman has had a far better career than Watts already and has far more attributes. 2 sets of standards

not sure how many fingers you have but he played 2 x vfl reserves games then 5 vfl games before playing about 3 games then playing the rest of the year in the vfl

I like Jack Viney but I'm so sick of yelling 'GET RID OF IT!!!' every single time he has the ball. He has no concept of space, taking the easy option or just how detrimental a holding the ball decision can be. He really needs to work hard on this, all bloody summer, and just give the easy option instead of barging through. it achieves nothing. id be happy to off load him if he continues to do it next season. patience is wearing very thin.

im happy to but please everyone stop the 'watts was a good player' sort of talk and if you like Jack Watts it's because you like him as a person. He probably should've been cut 4 years earlier. And to me, it's no surprise that the year we got rid of him, we made a prelim.
