you can't compare players injuries. some players have more debilitating injuries than others. I mean, even the great Michael Voss wasn't half the player after his knee issues. Matthew Egan would've been one of the all time greats but because of his foot issue he had to retire. Nathan Brown never returned to his best after his leg break. Not to mention all of the players who never got the chance to show their worth due to injury like Jesse w. Smith, Luke Molan, Morabito etc.

he wasn't a Stephen Milne in terms of goals but he did have 2 seasons where he kicked 42 and 48 goals. He also got around 14 possessions per game which is enough.

I'm sorry, not sure how long you've been around demonland but I've got a long history of projecting accurately players careers and their trajectories. I didn't mention sparrow because I believe his 2 handed ball drop and lack of advertised on field pace will limit his potential and Jordan's lack of grit, strength and pace seems to be his downfall. I won't even back over the years and years of history where I have gone against the common views of biased demon supporters (i.e. that every player is a gun as soon as they're drafted) and analysed each player on their merit. When everyone was calling Pickett our next Cyril Rioli, I was the first one questioning as to why he is slipping over at every contest. I could go on for an eternity. I'm not being negative, im being realistic. We've missed finals since 2018 with Gawn, Oliver and, Petracca in the guts and an AA calibre Full back. That means we either have significant holes all over the ground, or our coaching is completely inept or a combination of both. I also don't read too much into the Yze appointment. I'll read into it greatly when he becomes the head coach. Until then, Goodwin has too much influence. If he has any influence, he has too much. I've seen more than enough from him to realise that he's lost the players and most of the fans.

Nah, it's just that from the training reports all I want is reports on Bowie, Laurie, Jackson, Pickett, Weideman, Petty, Rosman, and Rivers. As these are our future and really the only players that really matter whilst Goodwin is coaching. I'd love to see more photos and reports of these guys.

I'm no longer buying into any preseason hype videos. We've missed the finals 2 years in a row and played well beneath ourselves accompanied with some terrible coaching. Top 4 or go home.

as much as I hate tom McDonald, his form asa forward as miles ahead of Jackson. What's Jackson done? 3 goals in 6 games as a forward. He hasn't earned a spot because he isn't a forward, he's a ruck.

The trash that Tmac has served up in the last 2 years has been an embarrassment but if he can turn it around then he is definitely superior to Jackson. Jackson is a ruckman who has kicked 3 goals in 6 games. If Tmac did that last season people would be calling for his head. Tmac has shown to be one of the best forwards in the game so even though I like Jackson (as a ruck) he hasn't come close to Tmac in any way, shape or form. I know fans love young players, and especially demonlanders who have a long history of overrating our youngsters and jumping the gun so lets not get too far ahead of a 6 game, 3 goal ruck turned forward.
