DEBT DEMOLITION
There might not be a next year as there is no garantee all clubs will survive especially those getting annual afl / mcc hand outs ... when assets get devalued as is happening now, banks come calling to recoup debt ... mfc need to do everything they can now and in the next few years ... suspect they will be calling on only wealthy supporters to help initially ... without income mfc staff will also lose jobs

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
Clubs would know already what is happening and all signs are they are getting ready to play. I'm sure the AFL want to roll out a more comprehensive plan and hence are taking a little more time ... including some positive news on ways for members and supporters can watch the games

Most Valuable Demon
The MVP is heavily influenced by how good the player is, whether they play are more specialised positron, the quality of their replacement in that position, and how well the team can adapt to cover for them. For those reasons, quality talks and forwards tend to be MVP's. The wing is also an important role for us to fill as we found out last year. Tmac, May, Gawn, Oliver, Melk in that order. Langdon, Fritch, Viney (if uninjured) may emerge as mvp contenders as the year goes on

Jake Lever - Our next captain?
He has the great leadership skills to go with his communication skills. However, is it just me or does he come across as being a touch happy with himself which might be perceived as not being as selfless as others.

Nathan Jones the best kick at MFC
Hibberd is the one we have probably forgotten. Booming kick with penetration. Hopefully we see a lot more of it this season

AFL are a disgrace
Appreciate the overzealous official was out of line but hardly a third world problem

What is missing to win a flag?
We need our own Dusty ... it's no co-incidence that Richmond has dominated in the same period he has become arguably the best player in the comp. Without him they are just another team in the top 8

Coronavirus & Other Sports
with the grand prix cancelled, the precedent for cancelling populated events has been set. l suspect the season will be postponed. All that needs to happen to put the nail in the coffin (and it will happen soon enough) is that an afl player tests positive .. sorry for the negative view but seems inevitable to me

Injury List 2020
Weideman ankle should be fine Bennell light calf strain (that's two now and he hasn't started match sim or matches for points) Salem recovering and good for round 1 (I prefer he takes a little longer to recover and comes back via VFL to avoid relapse other issues) AVB different injury to original one (l'm still very concerned) https://www.afl.com.au/news/384774/luckless-dee-set-to-miss-season-opener-after-another-setback

Jeremy Howe Takes Swipe at Dees
An understatement to suggest we are a touch sensitive

Injury List 2020
Please no ... AVB would be 4 to 6 weeks and not play afl again this year!

Believe in the Dees
You have posted a number of times on this forum, as have l, are our lives really that interesting that we can't afford time for a 30 sec new gen clip ?. For the record l'm not in the target demographic but enjoyed it just the same

Nathan Jones AFL Life Membership
Our modern day Robbie Flower! Stayed loyal to the club when there was no reason to do so and coincidently wore the same number 2.

Believe in the Dees
Cool little clip, and nothing wrong with it. Perfect for sharing on social media to new generations of mfc supporters. Recall a number of initially negative reactions to the doco series also and most now agree it was will done

To Hell & Back: Episode 5
Those that knocked these doco's when they were first launched should have a rethink ... they are well done, are getting clicks which translate into memberships and sales, and provide fans with rare inner sanctum viewing the likes of which we haven't seen since 'Whiteboard Wednesday' with Cameron !!!

May & Lever Ready to Repay Investment
I think 'balance' is the key to the 2020 team with most of the side now able to play in positions they are now suited to

Geelong Fined for "Inadvertent Admin Error"
They gained an advantage over the other clubs for 8 years and played in a heap of finals, its irrelevant whether the error was inadvertent or not. And how does one prove an error is inadvertent and not deliberate !?!? Curious that there was no mention of the amount they were over the TPP, which makes me suspect that it wasn't an insignificant amount. Also curious, that the error was discovered by the new chief financial officer while others who over saw it have convenient left People need to be jumping up and down about this and demanding some transparency.

TEAMS: MS02 vs Hawthorn
Not a hater of O'Mac, though in recent times I definitely agree with TMac that 'the work he does is hard to see' but probably from a different perspective! No AFL standard player can be forgiven for semi regular uncontested skill errors whether they have lost confidence or not. From a distance he doesn't always seem to keep his concentration levels and focus up. However, I do recall he was handy a few years ago, so hopefully with a fit back line around to support him he get back to those levels

Trevor Hendy & Mark Visser at the MFC
l think Visser's 'holding your breath' course should be a compulsory part of any mfc membership package. God knows we could have used it watching some of the decision making and kicking last season eg frost and a few others

Jack Viney a Liability?
As a supporter group and football department historically we really treat out captains poorly. Actually makes me quite angry. The captains sacrifice so much of their time for the club on and off the field taking them away from partners and family. Jack is getting back from a serious foot injury its got nothing to do with his ability. He could easily play defence, attacking or defensive mid, forward pressure role. But he has the ability to lead by example and drag the team along as he did in the 2018 finals against Geel and Hawt while still carrying an injury. To win finals you need players with aggression at the player as well as the ball

Injury List 2020
Doubt Joel Smith will be available any earlier than round 2 going by a short convo I had with him at family day. Not sure what the issue is though

Training Ground?
The govt built aami facilities for the mfc and a number of other sporting clubs also ( ie victory, storm, rebels ) which is now cramped for space. It's in the governments interests to get mfc out of there for the sake of all sporting clubs and therefore voters. Mfc should hold their ground (literally) and make sure they get something decent
