Petty is 22 in a few months and is developing ahead of time for a tall that has missed a heap of footy through injury ... i just think forward to when he is 24 or 25 years of age and what he will be doing for us ... helps put the odd error he makes now in context

Selectors have shown they are picking in form players ... Weid and Brown originally got a crack after strong VFL form ... Brown played well last week in the shortened match sim and if he gets a good game in tomorrow he will be strongly considered for GWS ... Weid will need a solid block of 3 or 4 games so forget him returning sooner unless there are injuries ... lets not jump the gun however as injury news sometimes comes out a few days after the match which would change things

I thought that would be the end of the night before it started ... he then asked me to put on my COVID mask ... Agree, reboot for a month or over pre season. If a forward gets injured he is next up so we still need him. Some might recall he struggled with his contract year last time for a period ... extend he by one or two years on modest money with good incentives and take the shackles off him

I think our focus needs to be around developing a key tall by trading into the top 10 or seeing if there are any still very young outside the box types at state level ... Weid looks like he won't make it and tmac and BBB will do the job but won't be around in about 3 years when our youthful mids in Trac, Oliver, Jordan, Harmes, Brayshaw are still running rampant through the middle
