We need a 'Wisebot' that detects if a demon player has been mentioned with another club, or if another player has been mentioned with the dees, it then scours all news websites and then posts a 'WARNING WARNING' disclaimer for each rumour based on the tier system you've coded for it. This would help ease your post-load and also help eliminate any creative hypothesizing over said rumours. We'll clean this place up nice n good.

I've advocated for Gawn to play more time up forward, but on second thoughts: His move to FF in the final quarter against the Pies was terrible. Looked so out of place and probably cost us some goals. You could tell Goodwin was trying for a creative unconventional match winning move, but it backfired.

This sums up every teams premiership ruckman in the last few decades. Who will remember Mcevoy, Hale, Boyd, ottens, Jolly, Keating out of these premiership teams? No flashy AA level ruckmen, just players that physically scrapped and did enough while surrounded by superstar mids. Nankervis will be another forgotten ruck if the Tigers win this year picked up for peanuts. Cox is probably the exception as he was a class above all ruckmen of all time. You'd newly add Paddy Ryder to the list of AA ruckmen that wont be around come grand final cup presentation.

I could see us trading Gawn for an elite A+ midfielder, but only in an alternate timeline where we had drafted Darcy Parish and Paddy McCartin. I don't think its that crazy an idea when you consider we've had no elite superstar mids since Flower (According to Demonlanders) - but we've had 3 of the best and most innovative ruckmen of the modern era and no premierships to hang our hats on.

3.6 inside 50's a game seems pretty good over a career. 81st in the AFL this year, 51st last year. That's 80 inside 50's a season. I don't know what our goal kicking efficiency on average per game is for inside 50's, but if he's contributing to 10-20 goals year from inside 50's, 11 goals from goal assists a year and 7 goals a year, then that's still contributing to anywhere between 20-35 goals a year ? It's all a bit confusing really, but he still is an upgrade on many of our 'developing' players, at a glance. Edit: His stats seem similar to Zaharakis with a slight disposals and metres gained superiority in favor of Gaff and with 2 years youth difference, Zaha was offered a 4 year deal recently. Probably proves he's not worth a first round pick unless was had some guarantee he could reach his form from 2 years ago. He's a 10 possession better player than Melksham but understandably playing in a different position, with similar all around stats otherwise. Probably somewhere between pick #20-25 then?

Despite being on the sidelines for 2 years, he's one of those project players you keep around for the extra year to see if they can show you again why you initially had faith and selected them above others 2 years earlier. It would be an absolute waste to delist a player who's struggled with injuries. Look at Alex Johnson, Daniel Menzel and Morabito, generously given many years to come good

Obviously he's not a mid, but just recruiting decent players who have a natural goal instinct and building a dynamic around what you've got, rather than filling the forward line with utilities like Bugg, Harmes, ANB, Melk etc

Any other third man up specialists we're recruiting now that we've got two of the best in the AFL and the rule to bar the 3rd man up has been brought in?! By the way, I think that should be Bliclavs and 20 to us, Watts and 27 to the Dogs, Stringer and 33 to the Cats. Stringer has the most AA upside, Watts next has shown he is elitely skilled and Bliclavs was great as a third man up 2 years ago.

We'd be getting absolutely towelled up by contested marking if we'd produced our tough contested win of the century against Sydney last week.

It's not about political correctness, its about wasting time. If there was 10 seconds to go in a game, you'd probably want the ball in your players hand to deliver it inside 50 rather than having to wait for fans to dig it out from under their seats.

Currently has a 1.4 goal avg this year, perhaps that? doesnt seem to do much else though. Goes missing a lot. Has a random game every now and then where he runs rampant.
