  1. Oh ok, getting into semantics, but he did play some games at the beginning of the year and that's where we saw his potential. 5 games it appears. Pretty small sample size. I hope we'd been tracking him the year before too, not that that would be the greatest evidence.
  2. I'm confused, he was picked based on his form as a 16 or 17 year old? Or a from a few games early on in his last junior year?
  3. Did rumour monger narrow it down to the Dogs?
  4. One thing missing from the Lever discussion with Adelaide, is that isn't this Equality at work? A team that finished 1st can't afford to pay all of their players and they have to be squeezed out and a team that is in the middle of the ladder that hasn't used their entire cap can afford him.
  5. I hope we'll do the opposite with JKH and book him in to a 1 month sweat lodge.
  6. Until the AFL impose 4 year contracts (And [censored] with kids mental health), then it's what goes around comes around. People are behaving as if clubs recieve no compensation.
  7. Colyer has the speed we're looking for. In fact, I recall last year that any talk of losing him was met with 'we're [censored] if he goes' comments.
  8. Have we contemplated telling Jack that he has to do a MASSIVE pre-season to stay at the club in order to have the tank to move into the midfield full time ie He is absolutely our intelligent 2nd ruck like Shaun Grigg/Pedo, but instead he moves into the outside mid role when Gawny rucks. He waits on the edge of every pack to receive the Oliver handball and kick to a player in space or he goes in and applies heat. "You can stay but you won't be playing forward. Also here's a helmet, you'll be needing it this year"
  9. It makes sense given he's FA next year and the Dogs may be looking for better compo now. But didn't Roost it or whoever the rumour starter was say it wasn't him?
  10. Bliclavs is more of a relief ruckman/wing though, would he qualify as a midfielder? More the hybrid type? I seriously hope it's someone like Dylan Shiel with the outside pace we desperately need. Him leaving also fits in the narrative of GWS not playing as a team all year because the place is a shambles with everyone wanting out.
  11. Everyone as in no inside mids who they identified as a dire need? Essendon can be as fast as they like but if they're not winning it out of the middle then it should be enough to get the 4 points from them again. We should really swoop in on Saad though.
  12. Alls well at North Melbourne trade HQ
  13. Kent isnt up for discussion because his path is either improvement or delisting.
  14. Scotty?? That's like having a dog named Glenn or Mikey
  15. Hilarious to see Adelaide commenters now slagging off Lever saying he wouldn't of made much difference if he hadn't played in the GF and that he was too slow and not tall enough to go with Riewoldt etc. Really spruiking that two first round pick demand well!
  16. Here's an insanely fun idea. How about as part of the 10 + 27 Lever deal: we trade our 2018 picks for Adelaides 2018 picks. It would be the ultimate battle within a battle. Back ourselves in to go past them. Would be the ultimate show of bravado. We'd collectively need two gigantic balls to do it though.
  17. The Jesse Hogan Panic Room Thread took a chill pill last year. Do we really need to have another JH thread? The rumours only deserve a few pages in here.
  18. Well the South Australians 'vic bias' complex is anything but rational. Let's hope it never comes to the draft, but if it does and in the extreme for hypothetical sake: I would be concerned that if Collingwood got him for pick 6 in the nab draft, he has no choice but to play for two years or not sign, in that case he would be crazy to not sign (if we are not willing to pay him an extra 750k for a missed year in the next contract that we offer in 2018) And if we are willing to pay him for a missed year the following year with a bigger contract offer, how would we go about picking him up next year?
  19. Which puts Collingwood pitted squarely in the ring against us. There might be a conspiring of both Adel+Coll parties on this one and has been for months.
  20. Aren't there clubs like North and St Kilda who are not using their entire cap currently and may not by the end of the trade period? I don't see any rumours of players going there.
  21. Fair enough. I was not expecting anything comedic in that mahoney report and it caught me off guard. Hilarious comment now.
  22. Can someone explain the weird topic of alcohol in Mahoneys Hogan report? Mahoney was also adamant that Jesse Hogan would remain at Melbourne, after rumours over Grand Final weekend suggested that the key forward was gettable for Western Australian clubs. “It’s probably not a good combination – alcohol and trade period,” he said. “People like to throw around rumours and run their own agendas a little bit, but I want to make this very clear – at no stage has Jesse Hogan been mentioned as a trade option.
  23. But the threat would be that if North picked him, he would nominate for Pre season draft next year and they could not get a trade for him?
