The court ruled that the club had to give him the opportunity to contact the members. If you don’t want him to contact you just delete it and direct any further correspondence to your spam file or unsubcriibe.

Peter is a Melbourne man, first and last. He has never tried to buy his way to a position of influence. The banning of him from the club was purely spite. He’s a good guy and only wants what’s best for the club.
-
I’m not biased at all, yourself? I’ve seen your previous posts on this matter and I’d say there is great deal of bias on your part.
-
Absolutely not, wrong on all counts.

Peter is a friend of mine in fact I'm having coffee with him tomorrow. He's a very passionate Melbourne supporter who's donated a shed load of money to the club, he's also got a lot of supporters who support his cause. I told him at the start of the year that his popularity amongst the Demonland crowd was ordinary to say the least and perhaps he should give it a rest for a while, but he continued on anyway. Well I didn't support his attempt to get on the board, even though I thought he's make a great board member, because I think he's done his dash due to his persistence in challenging the board. I can see his point, it's a closed shop and you only get on the board if they want you. It seems as if they have a couple of directors resign from the board every year, before the election and they appoint temporary board members who become the board's preffered options and are generally elected because the outsiders can't get any traction. It's like the board pick their own replacements, that's not a good system. A board of yes men/women is not good in any business. Peter has been banned from donating any money to the club, he can't sponsor any players and can't attend any functions, is that how you treat a loyal MELBOURNE supporter. It's petulance on the part of the board for daring to challenge the status quo. The Board are not the club, they are only there to serve the interests of the club and to do this is a disgrace. To deny any member the chance to donate money to the club is a joke. Peter is asking for a full review of the club and this has my full support, for too long we've gone along and accepted the continued faillings of the club, I want this club to be a strong, not one that gets pushed around. Even if we are winning games we get no respect from the wider community because they know it won't last long. If you don't want a review of the club, then you are not interest in the ongoing success of the club.

And what's happened since then, we have won a flag but slipped back in to our old selves, if we could get PJ back I'd be happy with that.
-
You know what, you're right and I'm wrong, there is nothing wrong with our culture, despite what the majority of journalists say. If they were smart enough they would have contacted you before they printed their lies. Besides that, I'm sure that President Roffey has more important things to do than brief journalists and defend the club, things like host functions and committee meetings.
-
You can think all that if it makes you sleep more soundly at night, if you think there is not a problem with the culture of the club you are in dreamland.
-
The President can talk about the club culture, that's what I was referring to. That's what we've been hammered about all year, in case you hadn't noticed.
-
I'd like to know when our president is going to stick her head up from under the table and say a few words about the current state of affairs. The club has to be more proactive about these matters. We seem to have a cone of silence at the club, we leave it to the press to run with what they want. Did they think that by increasing the contract periods for Max and Jack that that would give the appearance of togetherness.
-
Or the next. I posted on here a month or so ago that Hawthorn would win a flag before us and WCW gave me a face palm, still think I'm wrong WCW?
-
We were terrible tonight and I’d prefer we didn’t win another game this year and set ourselves up for the draft. At times the players looked like they were disinterested and couldn’t get out of their own way. The dogs are a good side and will give it a shake this year.
-
His behavior may have improved but his performance has gone down the toilet, I liked him with the bad attitude.
-
Enough already, you have made your point and I think everyone on here knows you aren't a big HP fan, ok, we got it. Did you watch the game or just the parts that HP was involved in, how can you enjoy a win when you only look at one aspect of it?
-
I'd write this season off for Petty, he has shown he can play and given a full preseason next year he will show a lot of the doubters up. He's better than this.
-
Clarry has been tagged a lot lately so perhaps they put him in this role so he can learn how the tagger game is played; this may give him a better understanding as to how to beat the tag.
-
The media was talking about this before the season started, before we started losing, before we started getting beaten by second rate teams, before we got belted by Freo. You just can't see that there's a problem all you can do is offer excuses.
-
I'd say that as things stand, hawthorn will win a flag before we do.
-
So you are happy with the way the season is unfolding? I'm at a loss as to how you can believe the club are, or could be satisfied with the way we have played this year. How else could the season be viewed by the club other than a complete failure, what positives do you think they would get from it? Perhaps they could be happy with the way Grundy is playing, justifying their decision to give him away, Or maybe the biggest loss we have had since Goodwin became coach. Or perhaps how Oliver has had the worst season since he joined the club. There is something wrong at Melbourne and if you can't see that then you haven't looked hard enough.
-
A season outside the 8 does not define culture, but the season itself does, the way we have played this year is like the seasons of old when we have fallen the year after being in contention. The job isn’t ever done, it’s a work in progress and we have to apply ourselves year in year out, not just the occasional good season here and there. We look like becoming another Footscray, good but not good enough, a 4th to 10th side.
-
I was thinking the same, that's the way the old Hawthorn played, when Mitchell was in the side, it's not going to win a flag. It was as if they were trying to show the fans that they are a "hard it side" when in reality they are just snipers and target players when they are vulnerable. That hit on Max when he had disposed of the ball should have been reportable, but it wasn't, probably because Max got up.

I was going to the game and left with plenty of time, from Coburg, to get to the G but the traffic was horrendous. I got to the G at 1.15 and was still in a traffic jam in Punt Road. After spending 30 more minutes trying to get off Punt road I got on to Toorak Road which was just a wall of traffic, after sitting in my car for ten minutes' did a u turn and went home. If I found a parking spot, which I probably wouldn't have, by the time I got to the ground it would have been half time. Funnily the vehicle in front of me was a Bulldogs supporter bus, so that answers the question about where the Bullies supporters were.

If he played for Melbourne I would be disgusted with him, don't judge everyone on here by your own standards.

I was at training last Friday at Casey and was super impressed by Windsor, he has got all the skills and does remind me of Whitfield, as someone commented on earlier. it was a closed session and a bit more tactical than normal and the boys were a bit more willing. Don’t ask me for a run down because I spent a lot of the time inside and missed a lot of the session. I did pay particular attention to the Duke.
-
I can’t see Schache making it, I went to 3 training sessions last week and kept an eye on him, he’s not much different to what he was last year. He’s capable of doing good things, but I don’t think he’s got the mongrel in him to play at the top level.
