Nothing used to get me more pumped than Chopper and Dutchy crashing and bashing through everyone in the opposition's forward line before the first bounce of every game. In reality, he was an average footballer though.

How would they go about a NAB Cup with 17 teams? It means it would have to stretch to 5 weeks, which nobody wants...please just scrap it.

Imagine teams chipping it around at the end of each quarter to ensure they win the point on offer for that quarter. Would make the game more defensive if anything. There is no need to complicate a simple and effective system. I would hate to explain this, on top of everything else, to somebody new to the game.

In an earlier thread a couple of weeks ago, I said I hadn't seen what others were seeing him in. Just wanted to say I see it now, not going to make any big calls but I am looking forward to seeing him develop and watching him for the remainder of the season. And, as others have said, knocking back a spot on Adelaide's list to stay on our rookie list is a very loyal move.

We were clearly the worst team of the round...richmond and adelaide were in their respective games a lot longer than we were. But I still think we are much better than we showed week 1 and am expecting an improved showing against collingwood.

Im a bit with Clint...by no means writing him off, but I haven't seen anything that has me expecting him to play 200+ games. Same goes for Spencer.

Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere yet but according to the hun... On average our side is older than Hawthorns and have a higher average games also, although not by much. Thought that was quite interesting, while not hugely suprising given their outs.

I can't believe I am going to say this, but we could really do with 2 Jamar's next weekend. One to take some big pack marks against an undersized Hawks backline and kick 4. And another to dominate their woeful ruckmen and give our mids first use.

It's funny how many posters get carried away with the kids who get a lot of media exposure such as Taylor, Patrick etc, or kids who get thrown around commonly on the forums for whatever reason. Unless any of us have consistently watched junior football over the last 2 years, we are hardly in a position to say that picking Gysberts ahead of anyone is a mistake.

I saw a couple of times where he hit a target while running full speed and iunder pressure. My Essendon supporter brother was very impressed with him in our narrow loss to West Coast over at Subi. Looks the goods to me.

I also heard him likened to Hurley and he also interviewed very well. He is ready to play almost straight away but is more comfortable at CHB rather than a KPF. But if we were to take him at 11, we obviously would have to see something in him as a forward. I certainly would be very happy if he slides to 11.

There are certainly enogh good numbers available, but I like the high number. If it were me personally, I would prefer to stay in the same number my whole career.

He came back last year absolutely ripped and had a blinder in the Indigenous All-Stars game and looked set for a big season. So let's hope he can put in close to a full pre-season and have a big year this year.

I am still of the belief Fevola will still be a Carlton player next season. Wouldnt surprise me if it the failed medical rumour is true.

His name has been mentioned in a couple of articles I have read. Most suggest Carlton are interested, and also heard a rumbling Adelaide had an interest. Does anyone know anymore about this? Personally, trying to improve our 2nd or 3rd round pick would be the best outcome. But I think he would most likely go for nothing (i.e. late pick) to free up a spot on the list. What are peoples opinions on this?
