  1. I think Prismall is a very handy player and would slot into our midfield quite nicely. But under no circumstances are any of our first 3 picks going anywhere. We shoud be trying to get one more top 20 pick, not trading them away. Would trade our 3rd round pick for him, or possibly PSD.
  2. Yes, his disposals were terrible. His kicking style was awkward and ineffective. He has no future in the AFL, so lets not have anyone saying we should snap him up in the PSD.
  3. I think Green at 4.00 is the best value. Nobody will poll any more than 6 or 7 votes IMO
  4. I agree Jaded. That article wasnt too bad until they tried to slip that last line in there. Hopefully they can get him right but I am beginning to lose hope.
  5. Tall Backs: look promising all of a sudden. Warnock/Martin to take oppositions 'monster' forwards, Garland is important as he can play small or tall. Hopefully allows Rivers to play on 3rd tall, allowing him to zone off and do what he does best. Jury still out on Frawley. Small/Medium Backs: Petterd and Grimes have promise, but Bell and Bartram went backwards in 2008. Inside Mids: McLean, Jones, and Moloney should be reliable if they stay fit. Still unsure on Dunn. Outside Mids: I think Morton will be a tall wingman with a huge engine who will be hard to match up on. CJ and Buckley, also look very promising Small Forwards: Davey needs to refind his spark, atm he is useful, but not the matchwinner he used to be. Wona and Maric look good. While Sylvia may not turn out to be the superstar we hoped he might, he is still definitely in our best 22, playing as a roaming HFF. Tall Forwards: Miller is a tryer and is handy, but nothing more. Bate will play further up ground and wont kick bags. Newton looked shite this year, so not expecting much, but hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Ruck: PJ will ruck and be dangerous around the ground. Jamar is still useless. For me, the blokes who have shown they have a future (Rivers, Moloney injuries permitting): FB: Rivers Warnock ???? HB: Grimes Garland Petterd C: Morton Jones C.Johnson HF: Sylvia ???? Bate FF: Davey ???? Maric R: P.Johnson McLean Buckley INT: ????(2nd Ruck) Wonaemirri Moloney Martin
  6. I think we will improve on this season. No higher than 13th but we will win more games than this year. Those who say we are losing a lot of experience need to realise that these older players contributed absolutely nothing to our 2008 season. Another preseason for our youngsters, hopefully a smaller injury list should hopefully see us be more competitive in 2009, becuase we were only competitve for small parts of 2008. Please either make the 8 (unlikely), or otherwise make sure we dont win more than 4 games.
  7. 1. Jakovich 2. Neita 3. Lyon 4. Ox 5. Stynes Honourable Mentions Leoncelli, Bizzell, Brock
  8. Bit suprised with Jones' omission but it wont hurt him to have a week or two back at Sandy. As for Juice, I think he will be on the list next year as we can only get rid of so many, but he has to start showing something.
  9. I'm with ya HT. My brother is a bombers fan so if we only win one game for the rest of the year, I hope it is this one. Would like to see Wona and Green back in, and maybe Petterd in aswell.
  10. We are truly [censored] at kick ins, both taking them and kicking them Costs us at least 2-3 goals a game IMO
  11. Im all for the draft...but it is stupid that as soon as your team is out of finals contention you are torn between wanting wins and losses. There seems no real logical way to fix that though
  12. He is so clean with his pick ups for such a big guy...very impressive
  13. I like the idea of Garland on Petrie. And definitely Dunn to Harvey.
  14. dont know much about the younger Scott, but not interested in Troy. He's hard but thats about it..we need to add polish to our midfield
  15. I/C: P.Johnson, Martin, Valenti, Wonaeamirri But I would love Maric to get a few games before the season is out, not sure at the expense of who from that interchange
  16. Too old to fit in to our plan, and even if it was a few years ago, I wouldnt bring in someone with a proven poor attitude
  17. Jonathon Brown is a champion. Given that we have a lot of older players retiring/delisted at the end of the year, there would be plenty of room in the cap. But I would not be willing to give up what would be required to get him at his age. He has 3 or 4 good years left. As you say Nasher, one player will not turn around the club. I trust Jimmy to build a sustainable off field unit complimented by a young, exciting list.
  18. I certainly want him given time on the list. Im not one of those posters who wants someone delisted after a couple of bad games. Especially a young, key position player. But I still dont think he shows enough application to warrant a spot in the side. I am happy for the youngsters to be getting a game when they are working hard, chasing, putting head over the ball etc. Since Newtons return he has layed 2 tackles in 2 games (granted I wouldnt expect too many for a FF), and I have seen a couple of half arsed chases. I just dont think he has shown enough improvements in these areas, he still comes across as lazy to me. I think he needs to be dropped, given a rocket, and needs to realise what is required quick.
  19. I am all for the young blokes playing out the season and being given a chance to adjust to the required level and prove themsleves etc. But to get this opportunity, I think that each player should show the desire, application, sacrifice etc. to play at this level. IMO (which could well be wrong, as my opinoins are only based on what I see looking from afar) Juice doesnt show some of these basic requirements which I would demand of my players. He needs to find these qualities, and until he does, I would play him at Sandy.
  20. I would like to see Petterd come in and play out the season. Frawley a possible in also which may release Garland forward. McDonald also likely to come in, although I wouldnt be too disappointed if he didnt as he is getting on and his form this year is well down on the previous 2 years. A great club servant but he is not part of our future. Juice is a huge worry for us IMO. He is playing like arse, and although I am all for sticking with youngsters in these times of rebuilding, they should at least show the neccessary application, and skills required to play at this level. The penny needs to drop soon for Juice! If I were Bails: INS: Petterd, Frawley OUTS: Bell, Newton White, Yze, and Carroll serve no purpose to us anymore. They can stick it out at Sandy for the rest of the year.
  21. Will the club have to pay him out? I would imagine he would be on a pretty large salary? This may be a stupid question so you may have to excuse my ignorance.
  22. I would like to see Davey for Green the only change, but I believe JMac will come in for Bartram or Valenti aswell
  23. lol And since you have listed him twice, I will say Garland. He seems to be the one who has improved the most since Bails arrival. Or possibly Miller. On this topic..if Bails is Yoda, Garland is Luke Skywalker, then surely Carroll is Chewbacca
  24. It would make winning less than 5 games for the year important so we can get the priority pick before the 2nd round. Then we would be looking at: Pick 1-2: One of Naitanui, Rich, Watts Trade 2nd Rounder (18-20) to Geelong for Prismall Pick 17 PSD Pick 1: Warnock
