  1. "I wouldn’t change my career even though I had those two recos because the first four years I was basically watching the game in the stands with the fans. I was a supporter and fell in love with the club. I found myself yelling in the crowd. " Onya Max. Sign me up for a braised steak jaffle. Why does jaffle fail spellchecker?
  2. Thanks for the link. Hes an interesting guy and imagine he would be very well liked around the club. Seen him after games always happy to sign autographs and talk to supporters.
  3. Was going to like Gorg's post but then read yours. I will reconnect my foxtel suscription.
  4. Shame Brent Heaver isn't playing,it would be a commentators challenge.
  5. By God you are boring. Do you drink when you post? Change your name to Stunox.
  6. Garlett's form is mystifying. He can win a game or do stuff all. Not much in between. Hope he fires up and starts kicking some goals. Probably more suited to playing at the G I guess but we need him today.
  7. Started going pear shaped when Hogan went off Only a 2 kick lead. If we come out like we started we are still a chance. Garlett needs to reset. Captain needs to lead and we can get back in front. Need to beat saints especially at ethiad. Go Dees.
  8. Yep its anther rioli love fest. Ump not rewarding frees to swans
  9. Appreciate the polite manner you have expressed yourself in but I reserve the right to express an opinion. Not alone as it seems. As for vitriol I dont think theres been much except for your stu, the self appointed sanctimonious arbitrator of who can say what and then pots 2 dozen of his own.
  10. I guess you answered my question about being slow. Ps it was rhetorical.
  11. Yet here you still are. To be fair I think your number of posts has now exceeded any negative ones I have made about dawes. I could say thats ironic but I accept its simply a case of you having a right of opinion. There is no hysteria here perhaps you are projecting.
  12. Give it rest. For the third time don't read this forum. Are you slow?
  13. Or you could just make up some stats and then cry about it or like I said not read them.
  14. Well dont read them. Other people are happy to. And certainly dont waste your time responding.
  15. So you think hes the new whipping boy? Watts was a lot younger and the number one draft pick where Dawes is 28 and was solid forward for a premiership side. Don't see the similarities myself.
  16. We gave him a 2 million contract 4 years ago. Should we resign him? Have we? Will we? I hope we can trade him for someone but not sure if he is worth that much. The guy competes and tackles I have no doubt about it but cannot hold marks and rarely kicks goals. Keep as emergency perhaps? Even Dunn would be a better 3rd forward than Dawes.
  17. I didnt want to say it, but I think your right. Who else is there though? Another good tall frwd would make Watts, Hogan and Garlett one of the best in the comp
  18. It is interesting that many of us thought we would win today. I thought we would. Despite the bitterness of losing we are clearly a much improved team. Interestingly, It is because of this improvement that we are all so frustrated. We went close to beating a top side today. We are at a level now we we are tantelisingly good enough to compete with top teams but not good enough to win. 4 years ago we would have been thumped and all agreed about how [censored] we are. Now however because we can almost beat good sides we are probably more frustrated. At least now we can compete and see the areas we need to address like 2 more decent defenders. one more good midfield and a 3rd fwd/ruck
  19. Great analysis except that O mac isnt up to yet. Crows are a bloody good side and we took it right up to them
  20. Dawes does compete and throws his 105 kg around but he cant mark or kick goals. He just isnt that skilled. He was great in Collingwood as a second to Cloke in a team that provided much delivery but he is a shadow of that player today. Maybe its confidence but we wont win games with him in our forward line. A third forward tall is desperately needed. Peferably one that can ruck
  21. Interesting that Roos gave Bernie a huge rap on Friday as one of our great players. Always the way.
