I don't see it for Hawthorn. I see a lot of enthusiasm, but I think they have the worst (perhaps equal with Weagles) midfield in the league. I don't see the talent. Newcombe having a purple patch but he'd hardly make the bench in our team. Lewis is a decent but not great key forward in his 6th year. Sicily is A grade and easily their best player, they have no other big blokes to speak of and no great runners coming through. They are not on the rise.

i liked it. i have never heard him pot someonbe like that. McGuinness had no objective to get the ball and hes pointing that out. hardly good for the game. Micky Gayfer was policed out of the game aginst McAdam one day for just playing the man and they couldnt play him after that. This bloke needs to be highlighted.

Question - why do we start so poorly lately? In the first quarter they switched the ball defensively with little bother from us to stand theirplayers. We were just spectating and they came to play. didnt the North game show us anything? We fixed this up mainly in the second half but why arent we covering the crosses earlier. Kozze was meandering around and they just played chines checkers with our forwards with ease and ran the ball up the ground. fely like under 12s stuff.. I think ifif Harley Reid has told Weagles he doesn't want to play there, they would be open to trading pick 1 to get as full value as possible. i.e effectively trading for Reid. If we had pick 4 its not out of the question we could get him. If Reid is head and shoulders above the rest that is.

Agreed. The hawks game with Petty and JVR as key forwards was our best mix. Petty was BOG till he got injured in that game. Sliding doors hey. He's still worth a try up forward and would compliment Brown.

Grundy has been at least as good as Gawn, he impacted last week but to be honest looked out of form, fumbling a fair bit and dropping marks. I hope this is a rest.

Actually in comparison to Cyrils first 3 years, Cyrils was getting about 4 more disposals a game so your'e right there (Roughly Kozzie 11 disp to Cyril 15). But Kozzies kicking a lot more goals (40 v approx 24). I'll take the twice as many goals from Kozzie and say he's in fornt of Cyril at the same age.

no we didn't. We kicked straighter. Predicted score had saints winning based on the stats. Previous weeks like the GWS game we smashed sides in the midfield but goal kicking was off. Thats the first time in a while our midfield got beat (slightly).

not sure what supporters want from Goodwin. He's not a song and dance man. He described the game. One reporter tried for the click bait with "Yeah, but wouldn't you say its disappointing in the end as Saints had a few men down ? ". Goodwin "No". I liked it. What a stupid question like saints weren't able to fight it out at least. No game is easy.

yep and that 4th quarter was frees 10-2 Ports way. they had a lot of help.

Yes we havent seen a lot but his cameos look good to me. He's big, will fill out, looks a very good mark but also a very nice kick. hopefully he continues this trajectory and could be ready for a debut next year. looks a classic full back type

at what stage were you pulling the trigger and tag ? Did you want to pull the trigger against Gold Coast when Rowell punished us first half? or Anderson as the game went on ? Do we go the tag and possibly miss out on running away with the win against GC. Do remember were running over Port, Oliver gets injured and some crucial umpiring created some huge turnovers. hindsights easy.

agreed and so many vital incorrect decisions that lead to Port goals. I don't think we played poorly. and the rain evens things up.

You're right and was very aggressive and getting into the grill of the opposition as ell. I think he's feeling more confident.
