The Harry Armstrong Thread
So you don't rate JVR, Jackson, Petty, Disco Turner ?. He failed with a high pick on Weideman back in 2015 but in the 9 years since I'd suggest he's been well above avg for talls compared to other recruiters.

Matt Kennedy
certainly does over 30 goals is well above average for a small forward.

5 Young Dees Re-Sign
He would have driven that.

5 Young Dees Re-Sign
I'd like to see what Sestan could do at a higher level, he's got the most talent amongst the young Casey guys. like AMW he needs to improve his reading of the play and get more of the ball, and utlise those skills.

Tairon Ah-Mu - No access for Dees NGA Talent
yep and Heeney won the game for them when they are almost gone. absolute joke. like Jeff Whites son wouldn't have played Aussie rules if not for an academy.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
do they really move up late ? the phantom drafts shift once more knowledge comes out on who is picking who. not sure one extra game at the end shifts the clubs thinking that much.

Trade Targets
Yep 2 Windsors would be amazing. We will hopefully get another decent pick for ANB after he finishes high in the B&F. Agree somewhat on Tholsltrop, he has some clever attributes and will be good in heavy traffic, and is a competitor. but he was off the pace and thats ok you can learn that. I forgot how many times Nathan Jones was caught in his first couple of years but he learnt it slowly but surely.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
I'd rather us go to the draft. if this is a really good draft we dont want to miss out on a gun. Houston is 28 so hes well into the 3rd quarter for his career.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
not really. Goodwin said a few weeks ago 'he is in the picture' at the selection meeting and intimated hes looking likely for a debut soon just dont know when exactly. having a poor game doesnt help his cause though. Theyd also know from training how he's handling things. looks like next year now but they were happy with his last 10 weeks or so of really good development.

Premiership Hero Ben Brown Retires
we are too nice like the grundy trade. Nibbler is in career best form. without our key midfielders hes been excellent stepping up. the most coachable player on our list like Brayshaw and we lost both. We need fair conmpensation for Nibbler he'll play 100 games and some second round pick odds on will not.

Part 11 Jason Taylor - visionary or overrated - 2023
Windsor looks a gun so hes nailed the first most important pick. the rest we will know in a few years.

Part 11 Jason Taylor - visionary or overrated - 2023
out of interest what are your concerns? I think his strengths are: good vision decent disposal, plenty of mongrel Weknesses: no great elite talents athletically, ok but not great pace and not overly big at AFL level. . at present a bit off the pace at AFL level which is nothing to be worried about long term.

binman’s rant (Goody defence)
Bevo dropped immediately after the premiership and the dogs have been very up and down since. Goodwin has had top 4 finishes and we've been much more consistent. I think he's better than Bevo.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Goodwin recently said Jefferson is definitely in the mix now. Thing is for him to just keep improving. His debut will come.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
we had the most under 22s in the league. It you watch the game it was the younger legs that tired in the last half and we started getting opened right up. Just too many kids compared to the lions. Overall it isnt as bad as some on here think. the old Dees wouldnt have found something especialy with so many young players.

CASEY: Rd 06 vs Williamstown
Well Hunter was in the 23 permanently prior to injury so thats an interesting call. Jefferson is still an uknown although he's just not getting enought of it. Nobody was talking up Howes even right up to round 1. Nobody. And he's showing that potential now.

Clayton Oliver: A real Mensch.
or..."You recon all the balls are the same pressure today?" oh you havent touched it 35 times like me. sorry"

Harrison Petty
he is a good kick normally. Give him some time. Go watch Pettys first game at AFL level, worst kicking you'll ever see. Terrible game too. Let them get some experience and confidence.

Rising Star Nomination for The Duke?
I think we have a beauty here. great game sense, not overawed, has genuine wheels and knows how to use it (e.g his goal from 50). and probs just as important looks a great decision maker. I thought his coolness under pressure which the commentators pointed out in the last quarter makes him special. Didn't blaze away and made good decisions under enormous pressure. He looks a beauty. The nomination will come. don't worry.
