  1. of all the finger pointing on demonland, those bottom 3 statistics are one of the key reasons for our struggles.
  2. yes and that was the bewlidering part. We should be settled now, very few injuries and it felt like the team just started playing together. Oliver seemed to be always defensively running first quarter with noone else putting in, as they went from GC went from half back to shot on goal like a preseason game. I thought it was disgraceful. We looked like an unenergetic rabble and it was game over in about 20 minutes.
  3. Grundy was under a big injury cloud. 3 of their most important players are father sons. this year they brought in 3 first 18 types players to bolsters their list.
  4. this also highlights our kicking for goal being a much greater problem than our delivery into the forward line. We are getting good shots on goal. last year McKay kicked 49.21. Overall hes kicked 261.176. That surprised me. He's not a bad set shot.
  5. Wow we were lauding how good his kicking was last year, but now he is DIABOLICAL !! . wow. I assume his legs were replaced as all those good kicks are behind him now. Shame.
  6. searing for us usually means splitting the middle, between the goal and point posts.
  7. not the worst suggestion. my only question would be defensive pressure.
  8. go watch the second half. our forward connection was much better. our biggest problem by far this year is kicking for goal. by far.
  9. I cant help but think Windsor on the wing is what the opposition would like the least. He's a real weapon.
  10. yes and Langdon. Hey Freo have had so many players ripped away from them I find them hard to hate.
  11. he did not drop his head but he was worked over very well. he engaged his opponent too much to their advantage, blocking his run into the forward line. this game isnt easy when you get serious attention.
  12. Disagree, we again and again had good chances in front of goals. It started with trac and Kozzie missing gimmes in close early to many set shots close to goal. its not like our only looks were quick snaps from the boundary. This was a simple issue of horrendous kicking at goal. this 'we bombed it long in hope as the real reason is not true.
  13. I'm one of the more optimistic on here I think, but I just don't see it with Laurie. He has enough experience to know coming off fresh is such an advantage to provide some drive for us and he gave us nothing. I'm convinced he wont make it. I'd rather try a Sestan, Henderson, Brown or Culley.
  14. people do get the level of the AFL and the difficulty coming back from injury yeah ? again and again supporters question players coming back from a long injury lay off expecting them to play at their peak.
  15. rubbish, we had so many shots straight in front it was laughable. some of them looked unmissable. We gifted the saints the game today. most of their goals came without a physical contest as they spread us and kicked well to position. infuriating.
  16. Same here. Viney had not gone through full contact training so we have to see how he pulls up from that first. It's not ticked off yet.
  17. of course they are. they were given Lockett, then had Buddy.
  18. the lack of press on this cheating is astonishing.
  19. disagree. he had an open goal against the lions, he should have a shot and did but missed it (badly) . against the swans he had a millisecond to get the ball to foot and have a shot. he missed, that happens a lot in matches.
  20. im a fan of his kicking. maybe we push him forward at Casey and see how he goes now his confidence is up. more likely to get a game at least. also handy as a sub.
  21. it appear the rule is if you cheat the cap you get heavily sanctioned, but if you 'forget' to lodge some payments, then you get a modest fine. and Caro sits there and pretends thats actually the case. what a joke.
  22. I made this comment a weeks ago. We 'potentially' have the best midfield and backline going forward. it looked like that on paper. today watching live against a tough opposition it was everything I thought it could be. I loved everyhing about today bu the 'final kick'. We are are back.
  23. A coaches knightmare (dream) where we cant fit 4 v good talls into 3. if only that problem existed up forward !!
  24. look. Im a fan and glad you pointed him out. Ha Ha
  25. this. watching him live today, he's in great form, probs our best tall back when the ball hits the ground, and marking beautifully. Great call by Goodwin to rest Tmac. I think this is a crucial period in Turners development where he is playing elite footy. you don't want to mess with that. They will bring Tmac back no doubt but they may have to move him forward. turner is playing irresistible footy.
