Yeah. The boy has a long way to go from D Section amateur reserves to AFL national draft selection but if he works hard, could emulate the efforts of Art Vendelay of 2008 when all 16 clubs completely ignored him for the pre season and rookie drafts.

You may very well not be in a minority. As great as Pav might be, he probably will come with the wrong price tag and at the wrong time for our club in view of his age. We do need a player of his sort but where is he going to be when we're ready to start peaking in 2 - 3 year's time?
-
Apparently the BOG came with a price because some bastard stole Brock's ute while he was playing. At least there were no wheelies in Ingles Street after the game.

Casey Scorpions player review Hmmm, I would suggest he has a different view to KC on Addam Maric.

A couple of years back, when you had your sights trained on the MFC and we were down on the floor and getting thumped on a weekly basis, you stuck the boots into us. Said we stood for nothing and threatened to take away our annual Queens Birthday blockbuster if we couldn't attract a crowd of more than 60,000. Now, the Bummers managed less than 60k attendance last night and they copped a hiding from Collingw&%$. What are you going to say and do about that? Give them some more prime Friday night fixtures? Or are you too busy changing the rules and spending hundreds of millions on GCSuns and GWS to bother any more?

He was on the TAC Show on Sunday and Hutchy mentioned that he was out for one more week so hopefully, he'll be down as "test" on tonight's injury list.

Yeah, I'm voting for you guys - especially the ones who tipped the Dees.

Spot on. We've struggled all year in our key forward department and our coaches have not even tried the move of one of our abundant numbers of tall defenders up there. Not even for part of a quarter to see if it could work. Their conservative approach stands in stark contrast to Brad Scott and Damien Hardwick. As for Rivers, I agree with his lack of pace being a problem but then I wonder how he would go now that Liam Jurrah's back in the side. And he did go forward on a few occassions in Daniher's last year or two with limited success.

Melbourne kicks the first goal of the game. Supporters in shock!

Probably why she left her old boss in the sewerage system.

I reckon we're just showing off now.

The Scorps play the Bendigo Bombers this Sunday but I wonder who will be coaching the Bombers? Drunk footy coach arrested

Hello Mr. Dunbar. Thanks for your report. I just wanted to ask if you watched the game sitting in one of the trees outside the ground and were you disguised as a koala?

Great story WJ and excellent detective work. It would have been an absolute match if the young bloke was called Nnicholass!

Matthew Bate was interviewed on SEN this morning. He was introduced as the player required to carry the mantle for the forward line in the absence of so many injured players. Matthew explained that he played in yesterday's VFL practice game with Casey to develop some more match fitness after missing a lot of the preseason. His injury was to a quad muscle which he reinjured on coming back. Because it was a recurrence of an injury he had to take care with his rehab. When asked where he expected to be played he said that most likely at half forward but that he might also end up a bit closer to goal. Matthew was asked how tough it was being an early draft pick and seeing others drafted at the same time playing in successful teams. He said that he was craving team success having played in finals when he first broke into the side. He is sure that in the future it will become a good team. Bate is helping mentor Jack Watts who is really keen to learn. He was really good in first half before being rested and all he needs is some more confidence in match play.eBaye also said that Sam Blease has an amazing attitude to training. He has put on a lot of muscle and if we get him up and running, he will be an asset to the team. Finally, he was asked if he receives any ranga barbs for his red hair. Matty answered that making jokes about hair colour is not like being racist and it's become like water off a ducks back to him. in fact, he gets bagged more when he uses hair product for trying to cover it up!

There was a very attractive blonde singer on last year's American Idol who had tatts like Jonesy all the way down her arm. I wonder if he might end up regretting it one day? BTW who's the bloke pictured on Jonesy's arm?
-
Of course Jimmy can do it! After all we have Liam Jurrah and Barack Obama is the Liam Jurrah of U.S politics.
-
Chip is such a versatile sportsperson too! According to today's HUN (at p72) James Frawley and his partner Nick Kyrgios went down to second seeded German pair Kevin Krawietz and Dominik Schulz 3-6, 5-7 in the first round of the Australian Open Tennis Junior Boys Doubles. I believe he's a handy cricketer on top of all that.

Sorry but the entire period of two days and 17 hours is a complete blank. I went cruising down the Yarra with some mates from Carlton.
-
Didn't go but none of our first year players were at training due to the fact that they were at the 2 day AFLPA induction camp. Apart from that all there is known is what Nathan Jones said on Twitter:- "Wow!!! What a session out at a steaming Casey Fields .. Off for lunch then hittin up some boxing this arvo with my man Johnny Bowman."
-
Shouldn't this be merged with either the CARLTON or the Chris Judd threads?
-
Except for A. Lovett at St. Kilda.
-
I'd add Nathan Jones, Austin Wonaeamirri, Jake Spencer and Jordie McKenzie to the list ...

At the risk of being castigated for this, I have to confess that there is sometimes a hint of sarcasm in what I write. Wouldn't take it too seriously.
