Anyone know how he's travelling as far as his recovery is concerned?

Nothing in the the Oz on line edition WJ but I suppose your question was rhetorical. Meanwhile, this story in the Age sets the record straight - Watts rumours untrue, says Carlton CEO In the words of Carlton's chief executive Greg Swann the suggestion that the Blues are after Demon Jack Watts is "absolute crap". Make of it what you will but in view of the mendacity and spite shown by Denham against the Melbourne Football Club over a long time and the mischievous nature of this story, the words used by Swann are probably an entirely appropriate of his journalism as well.

Denham and a buddy from the Murdoch Oz suggests Malthouse is after Jack Watts in this piece - Magpie Sharrod Wellingham heads home to West Coast Eagles. This has as much credibility about it as when Malthouse was supposed to be after Cloke. Joke!

Demons may trade Stefan Martin

The Free Agency/Trade/Draft Rumour File
Chelly replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Rumour has it that this could be due to the success Hardwick has had with recycled players like Grigg, Houli and I Maric for example. -
Has anybody ever stopped to wonder why they're killing off beer fairies?

How many votes so far for Voldemort?

Ha! Captain of West Adelaide is former Dee Ryan Ferguson and they wear the Essendon colours.

$750k???? Quote from Magpie Bulletin Board - "Wellingham what a weak pr1ck have said he needs to be traded" - http://forums.magpies.net/hotrod Here's our big chance (and let's not forget they wanted to trade him to get Ball from the Saints). $750k might be way, way overs IMO

Congratulations to VAFAU18 medalist OakleighAFC's Aaron Cloke with 25 votes!

I don't think the Bombers have won a game since they changed to their new grey away strip. The curse of the grey/silver jumper strikes again!
-
According to Perth Radio 6PR, Quinten Lynch has been offered a 2 year deal by Collingwood. Travis Cloke is looking less and less likely as a Collingwood player next year.

Who do you think I was writing about old timer?

How ironic that we are likely to see the last of the Mark Jamar/Brent Moloney combinations on the telly in a VFL game!
-
Sad but I think he's gone past the point of no return at the club. It probably began at some time in the latter part of 2011 when the club was in turmoil and he is said to have been close to crossing to the Bombers at the end of last season. It didn't help when his manager came out and said he was going to test the free agency waters and it helped less when his form dropped off and he stopped showing the emotion and the passion he previously had for the club. Ironically, if he went to the Bombers he would probably be nursing a soft tissue injury ATM.

After carrying his overweight no hoper of a slob of a father for several years, guess who's succumbed to a back injury and consequently is out of his side for this week's game?
-
They didn't.

Surely the time has arrived for the Melbourne Football Club to come right out and admit that, during some games in the 1919 season, it was tanking? I mean what were they thinking when they allowed players to take part in that round 18 game in an inebriated state? Where did Eric Tonkin's game go after he came in on the overnight rail from Sydney? Where were they hiding a champion like Ivor Warne Smith in the first half of the season? And the whole idea of having an enemy alien whose name was really Heinz coaching the team so soon after the Huns and the Turks were massacring our boys is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard! There's little wonder that this side didn't win a game. They were obviously tanking. I demand that this matter is fully investigated by the AFL or, if not by them, then the VFL and that Mike Sheahan and the On the Couch panel finds someone who attended one of the games during that season (old Clyde the Cabbie was there as a kid) to take us through all of the experimentation that was tried that year.

How is it that when Carlton has a bad run of injuries then the football world blames their plight on their bad run of injuries Carlton hit by worst injury crisis in a decade but when Melbourne has a bad run of injuries, their problems are due to everything but the injuries?

Lights are on, nobody's home.

They measure the crowds by weight in Western Sydney so 3,500 of the crowd were Phil Scully.

I would like to welcome all new posters from 'ology. We're all Demon fans (or most of us are) and I look forward to some robust debate. I also hope that 'ology gets back on its feet in one form or another.

If anything his form demonstrates our stupidity in allowing Carlton to lose the Kreuzer Cup game. Had we lost we would have had picks 1 & 2 the following year enabling us to take both Watts and Naitanui.
-
The real issue with the former recruiting people was their inability to identify players who dispose of the footy properly.

In that case he probably doesn't fit in with Mark Neeld's game plan.
