Wow DD some huge lifts and some massive drop offs from critical players we didn’t get an even spread in either final some rose up and a lot didn’t. Footy is such a hard game to play and to watch. A game of huge moments Jake takes a mark and instead of maintaining possession kicks to a pack, Kozzie hits the post. Acres takes a brilliant mark and kicks the winner with a serious shoulder injury.!!!

I loved going to the footy this year so enjoyable as previously mentioned never out of games, watching our membership continue to grow, building expectation, seeing the new blood emerge McVee, JVR, Woey, Laurie I want to see more next year. Top4 finish sitting in a crowd of over 90,000 in both finals where the noise was breathtakingly loud and almost winning both, the sheer anxiety of those two games is still palpable in my mind and the slow walk out of the G surrounded by happy and sad supporters which seemed to take hours, the mixed thoughts of what could have been, the great plays, the errors that rattled my brain. Ahh to be a Dee supporter.❤️💙💕

I was sitting up in the bleachers last night MCC L4 the only benefit is that you can see the whole game, match ups, ball movement, strengths and weaknesses. The thing that stood out to me was our ability to close down a side and change the way they play, we were very dominant in in so much of the play whereas the stark difference was their ability to make something out of an error their finishing skills were superior to ours as were the Pies. This is the area that Goodwin and his team must rectify in the off season, you absolutely have to be able to take advantage of all the hard work done up the ground which we are really good at.!!

But only if the players are up to it. We did not lack opportunity ElDiablo we kicked 28 points and 9 out on the full in the two finals game. Game set and match to our opponents.😢

Unfortunately Goody is 3 points away from being a genius with the mosquito fleet last night, however to watch the team squander shot after shot then see the captain miss two gettable goals and spoil a certain goal was quite frankly a bit mind numbing. Some very getable shots went begging last night. So near and yet so far, much better than the blowout that I half expected.!!!

28.9 I believe, against the big boys in AFL, scored goals in 17 of his 20 games so far plus he rucks and covers a lot of territory, I am just disappointed that he got rubbed out when we need him the most.!!!

I am hoping that we achieve three key things at the draft this year:- 1- Tall forward, 196 - 200cm 2 - Tall defender 195 - 198cm 3 - Tallish midfielder 188 - 192cm that can play forward or back whilst he developer’s into a premium mid. Then pick up Pup, Rookie the Best available Ruck running around in SANFL, WAFL or VFL and find Toby Bedford’s best available relative.!!!!

Thanks DD so many players below par on Thursday night, nerves, anxiety spent their energy before the game and yet we were still in it right until the end. I was checking the team stats this morning and Blues / Swans teams ran an extra 20 kilometres during their game compared to Dees / Pies game. That seems a bit weird,ie 290 km vs 270km that seems a lot of K's.?? Crowd Noise.???
