  1. I know where you are coming from BoBo we used to have a couple of characters that used to sit to the right of us one was a mini cheer squad on his own but encouraged everyone around him to join in the fun, we had a ball in 2018 particularly once we got a sniff of what was happening. Prior to that there was an old guy who was covered in player badges and he never stopped yelling from start to finish and whenever the umps missed a free he would shout out “Break a Leg Umpire”. With the break caused by Covid there are a lot of people missing and we seemed to have lost that connection with the playing group, sad really!!!
  2. I believe that this situation is inexcusable having teammates squabbling and striking each other in public when we are on the second biggest mission in their lives to date. Particularly two senior players who should have more sense, having said that I thought that Steven Mays apology and acceptance of the one week ban was made with humility and acceptance that it was a serious disruption to the team, Stevens has promised to workharder to help the team over the next 10 - 12 weeks. He knows he has let his teammates and us supporters down. Let’s judge his response over the remainder of the year.!!
  3. But it has to go to Special players. Ie: as a reward for being - hard, tough, silky with great leadership skills. It will be hard to win.!!!
  4. We sit in the Redlegs section in SW Stand and although we tried to get extra seats for family members were told it was sold out. We have noticed that the Row behind us is always occupied by different people non of whom seem to give a RCAH about the game and constantly talk about unrelated subjects. Serious drainers even had a bomber fan rabbiting on during the Bombers game. Not sure but am guessing that they are now Corporate seats. Certainly ruins the mood and the look of our premium MFC area.!!!!!! ps- also noted that a lot of familiar Redlegs are no longer turning up to games there were at least 20 empty seats in our Row and the Row in front during the Dockers game, I am pretty sure it’s not me.!! My daughters said the same thing Saturday night.!!!
  5. I never get bored with winning and have a look at our percentage after round 10, we weren’t playing well but still winning comfortably. We are still a game and percentage clear but need to knock off the confident Pies.!!
  6. I think that the coach said that he was tracking well.
  7. We sit on level 2 Shane Warne Stand and we like to look down and to the right to watch the Demon Army do their stuff at the Punt Road end. I think that a lot of interesting information has come to light on this thread, not the negatives but areas for improvement. This needs to be addressed by both our Club and AFL. It is so foreign to me that opposition fans can sit anywhere near our cheer squad. That area should be restricted to MFC supporters only. If someone on this site would start a petition I think that it would get a lot of Suppo, we must protect and nurture our Demon Army.
  8. You have to remember that Sparrow & Jordon are following instructions and playing a role within the team, there role is to help our va va boom, x - factor stars shine. Their time will come just as it has for Harmes.!!!
  9. Although retired We have only missed two games through Covid and illness (surgery) we will be at all remaining games hopefully. But we are fortunate that we travel in with our daughter and don’t have to put up with Public Transnsport. Still I am surprised at our low turnouts we have s super talented list and won 10 on the trot, what are people waiting for, the losses make the wins all the sweeter. We aren’t going to see finals footy played in May, June and July just hard fought wins and losses. I think that Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang has skewed our perceptions and perhaps spoilt our appreciation for hard rough and tough encounters, maybe even the players to a degree.!!! ps( my wife and I are a bit noisy and I love bagging poor decisions and some of the crap that the opposition get up to).
  10. He got 6 coaches votes a couple of weeks ago, the kid can play but not his best last two weeks.
  11. The team fought hard in the 3rd to keep us in the game, Max was enormous and Jack & Gus were pretty good but our fumbles by some of our better players let them back in. The umpires were quite putrid and determined to keep them in the game. We had the chance to win the game in the last but turned it over and they took their opportunities. Now we are looking down the barrel, who else will step up and make a difference.???
  12. Petty is injured, so is TMac. Ins: May, Rivers, Weid Outs: Petty ( rest), BB, Hunt We May have to look at blooding a couple of the kids.
  13. 6 - Maxx 5 - Gus 4 - Jack 3 - Clarry 2 - Jimmy Jordon 1 - Fritters Then the two Christian’s and Langdon the rest are off the pace.
  14. Thanks Stiff Arm greatly appreciated.!!
  15. I have a soft spot for a number of AFL clubs but never when they play us, I always strongly disliked Essendon after the 2000 Granny and WCE after 2005-2006 for their blatant cheating this has mellowed some what but I always enjoy beating them just that bit more. Footy is tribal and I also went a bit over the top during that 2018 final against the Hawks I should have felt foolish but nah I loved it.!! my grown daughters were a bit mortified but seemed to understand the years of frustration coming from me.!!
  16. Just to be sure could someone please post JT comments on draft night.✅
  17. I remember that on draft night JT was very pleased to pick up Bowey and Laurie as they were great kicks with footy nous.!!
  18. We will pass my prediction with an extra 427 members, we are going to get close to that 65,000 membership mark.💕❤️💙
  19. Agree Dundee this is our first real hurdle to be able to respond to the challenges we really need to tweak what we are great at.!!
  20. That is a great report coming off a Premiership next three weeks will be decisive.!!
  21. Hopefully Sam is getting some help from the football department and family and friends to get through this awful situation.🙏💕
  22. I watched Nathan Jones on the DYL and friends podcast last night and you feel his hurt about the years prior to PJ Roos and Simon Goodwin. They changed our environment and culture to such an extent that our kids are now thriving as footballers and people in a safe environment. You can hear it in the voices of our youngsters like JJ and Tommy Sparrow so confident and knowing their role. No more train wrecks for us under Goodwin and his excellent team. Love Goody and what he has bought to our great club.💕❤️💙
