Big thanks for Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger and all posters the reports indicate very low key Captains Run today but probably due to 6 day break. Really looking forward to watching the game tomorrow night.

Goody said on SEN that Petty has missed four weeks and will return via Casey, so thatβs Lever, Spaz and Petty out, so TMac should stay in and perhaps Howes replaces Rick??
-
Where is Fritta going
Listening to SEN this morning JTR they asked Goody Re a Fritsch trade and Goody said no way we need forwardβs he is a required player. So I think it is just another media B/S.ππ

Simon Goodwin SEN Interview 17.07.2025
Thanks for posting this Sir Why You Little, it was an interesting listen, Tim and Gary asked some good questions and I thought Goody responded as well as possible under the circumstances.

Jeez Cranky Franky, Clayton Oliver won every available award from when he started in 2016 through to 2022, he was our most decorated player at age 25. Only the Brownlow medal eluded him, he hit a rough patch in 2023-24 and is currently rebuilding his career with MFC. Itβs his 200th Game on Saturday night and he deserves full recognition for his service to Our footy club which includes our only Premiership in 57 years.β€οΈπ

Weβre not as bad as you might think
You have to remember DR the Coach said I wonβt place limitations on the players, if he said we are seriously limited and the group are struggling with the new game plan, would that have made everyone happier that we have performed below par??

2025 MFC Injury List
Thanks for the update Chelly, a bit sad for Rick that ankle/ foot issue has really affected his 2025, letβs hope they keep him out until it is back to 100%.

Arm chopping and blocking in marking contests
It is a real bug bear of mine as well TP, it has become chronic this year and the 4 umpires seem oblivious to seeing people fly out of packs or worse when packs collapse onto each other. Our AFL Administrators need to reel it in before it becomes the βnormβ in the juniors as well. Thanks for pointing it out.

Disco Bounces Back from Tragedy
It certainly outweighs anything spoken by those outside the loop looking in. Thanks Ollie and GW.ππ

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
how good is it to finally have a replay that you can actually watch and see how hard we scrapped in the first half to stay in it then slowly wore them down and finally opened up a decent gap on them. So good to see all our senior players so determined and hard at it led by Max, Tracc, Jack, Clayton, Salo, Ed, Fritta, TMac and Milkshake β Closely supported by our younger brigade and kids who played their hearts out, Bowey, Chin, Riv, McVee, Disco and then Rooey, Harvey, XL and finally Matty. We need to keep playing Kolt and Windsor as they will be part of our future and somehow get Blake Howes into the side. Rick isnβt back to his best but showing promising signs. Our conundrum is how do we keep TMac in when May is ready and how do we keep Matty in when Petty is right and who comes out for Howes and How Bloody good is Harvey ( love this kid), he has class and leadership written all over him did everyone notice how he Ushered Max away from the action and then beckoned the other players to move over towards Spaz.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
Agree EH I thought minimum 4 weeks it was all so unnecessary Xerri just couldnβt help himself, no doubt he regrets it but the damage is done and there is no comparison to Kozzie sliding into Moore. 3 weeks just isnβt enough.

Time to Blood Jeffo
I rewatched the game again today and was surprised at just how involved he was, took some heavy punishment as well but I guess he would cop a bit at VFL level. His handball to Ed to Chin and goal was excellent, I agree with Ollie, he needs improve his conversion as well and I liked that he lead away from the other fwdβs to create an option. Hope they continue playing him and Rooey together for the rest of the year providing they are both fit of course.

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Werribee
We had visitors so kept up with the game on DLand on my phone, however recorded the game and watched the second half later. What a great 2nd half of footy to watch, great team effort by the boys with standout performances by Billings, Howes, Adamβs, Verrall, Hardie, Culley and Mentha.

The DeeBrief boys having a very Honest Deep Dive
Agree wwsw coaches need a good apprenticeship under several coaches and some qualifications under your cap as well.

TRAINING: Saturday 12th July 2025
Big thanks to Harvey Wallbanger and Kev Martin for their training reports and all posters, as mentioned earlier that was a good pick up on Steven May. I think that losing AMW forced McVee to stay down back and Riv back to half back flank but with Bowey and Salem staying back it freeβs McVee and Lindsay to play running half backs and Riv into the midfield. Glad to see Windsor in the side and TMac as well.
