2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I’m getting a vibe for Greeves and Farrow???

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
Last year I was really sold on Langford and would have been really disappointed if we had missed out on him and SONS and W_J sold me on Xavier Lindsey, I’m not really picking up any vibes on 7 & 8 (11 - 12)after the 4 F/S, Academy boys. Thank goodness we have JT sifting through the remnants but I must say teams picking up so much early quality is really starting to annoy me.

Footy Boss: An in-depth look at the MFC
I found it a great read from someone who has been there and actually been through the whole process twice. It’s a lot to grasp and you just hope that we have all the necessary resources to manage a smooth changeover after nine years. A lot depends on Smith, Guerra, SK and Richo and our remaining senior players ( who I have a lot of confidence in ). If all goes well it would be a great result to finish 9th - 12th year one. My confidence has grown as they continue to bring quality people just hope we can continue to improve our list over the next two years.

Calling all pre-season track watchers ...
Max explained to the MMM crew the other day that they are in full running training at the moment and that the bulk of the running will be completed when they get back for preseason so that the footies come out on Day 1. Surprised me a bit, he also mentioned that he does the majority of his running on bitumen or concrete rather than grass and has done for a number of years now.

The Sam Cumming Thread
He’s super fast DeeSpencer and if Sam has come out of Wenty he will be quite tough.👍😁

AFLW: Rd 11 vs Brisbane
That was very much like the Dockers game in the last quarter we couldn’t buy a goal.

AFLW: Rd 11 vs Brisbane
Hopefully we can bring Brisbane back down to earth, should be a great game. Go Dees.👍❤️💙

The Sullivan Robey Thread
Forget Robey and get Greeves in, at least we will have a chance with him.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
CJ really looks the goods in our colours, pretty sure our new coaching group will work with him to get the absolute best out of him. Can’t wait to see him bursting forward, ball in hand big smile on his face. Looking good CJ.👍

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
It all sounds great trading up but I prefer 4 first rounders over the next two years, I trust JT and we are going to lose a few next year and look what can happen when you have picks up your sleeve and some spare coin in the bin.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Thanks LH I think that the fact that Tracc withdrew from all Commercial arrangements including 360 and changing his Manager clearly shows that Christian had already set his course for a change of clubs at the end of ‘25. And to his credit he went to the only club that could achieve a head moving Offer for him and for that I thank him. We gave up lot of history 2021-2023 and we received three first rounders to help rejuvenate our club and he will always be a Legend of MFC.

Kozzi Pickett - Will he be an all time MFC great?
You are possibly correct DJ but I’m hoping that Steven King and Co will meld our existing and future teams into an exciting competitive group that finally delivers a team that is always in contention and all other teams will have to worry about keeping their stars from the dreaded Demon behemoth. 😁👍

Kozzi Pickett - Will he be an all time MFC great?
I am really hopeful that Dub Dee’s forward projection is quite achievable, I was wondering (to myself) how the team react and respond to two of our midfield bulls disappearing so suddenly. How will it effect team roles and structure, who will step up who will really enjoy the extra freedom, etc because Kozzy and JV are now our only two fully established mids that know and understand their roles. Jack Steele is a known quality In and I’m hopeful that Trent Rivers, Ed Langdon, Kade Chandler, Harvey Langford, Xavier Lindsay, Caleb Windsor, Koltyn Tholstrup, Harry Sharp, Tom Sparrow and Jai Culley all see and jump at the opportunity to become better players and teammates. Kysaiah ( Kozzie ) Pickett will continue to grow and thrive in the new environment, I can’t wait to see all the changes take effect.

Dawn of a new Era - Paul Guerra article 18.10.2025
Are these the same people who wouldn’t sign up again if Goody wasn’t sacked, maybe we still need a bit more of a clean out Or mindset change of a minority of our Supporters. I for one have just renewed three premium memberships for 2026 which will be our 28th consecutive year as members. I am just hopeful that my health holds up to reach my 30th (just celebrated my 80th) and by the way I was a Goodwin supporter right to the end.

Dawn of a new Era - Paul Guerra article 18.10.2025
As is everyone Dr. Gonzo, that is a given But they need fresh air, encouragement, acknowledgment when they say the things that need to be said, when they bring the right type of people into the club when they do the hard yards and make the hard decisions. This is the time to breath again, create some much needed positivity, actually start to enjoy the changes, look forward to the draft, the pre-season and the start of the new season. There is plenty of time to get angry with the coach, the players, the game plan and all the little vagaries that tend to upset everyone. This is the beginning of a new era but we need to give it a chance the same as we did with PJ and Paul Roos, we are in much better condition than we were in 2014.

Dawn of a new Era - Paul Guerra article 18.10.2025
Why bring in a group of new people into the club IF we are going to question and second guess every thing they say.

Dawn of a new Era - Paul Guerra article 18.10.2025
Must agree F and T I was confused by all the negative spin spin spin so went back and reread the article. One of the best and most Positive articles on MFC in four years, what’s not to like, to spin a opposition former captain to come to us in 36 hrs was exceptional, former coach and recently former coach at Saints would have played a big part in winning him over. Thanks for explaining the details Mr Paul “War” Guera.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Hate to say it but I’m hoping we end up thanking Judd for providing the opportunity for CJ to get to our club, wouldn’t that be a great result for us all.😁👍
