I think that everyone in the FD would be rapt that Yze has picked up a senior role at a big club. We need a refresh in our coaching group and this appointment will drive that search for the best available, hopefully 2-4 changes for MFC along with 1/2 dozen changes in the List. Go Dees.!!

An external review is dangerous and could split the unity of the club, agree with Jontee an internal continuous improvement review is the preferred option that way you can involve all the stakeholders and lessens the chance of damaging internal relationships.!!

Two AA ruckman in the team sounded like a great idea win-win, preseason looked great, Max went down Brodie stepped up to the plate covered for the big man, they were killing it in the ruck but no goals flowed, something happened between Max & Brodie or FD. Experiment called of and Brodie Banished to VFL a lot of who/ ha in the press, a lot happening behind the scenes and Brodie’s management exploring opportunities with other clubs for a fully fit and healthy Brodie Grundy. We tried and we didn’t make the most of it time to move on, the real story will come out. Good luck MFC & Brodie Grundy.!!!

It’s not that bad Dimmy but I understand where you are coming from, I’m sure the feelers are out to try and improve our list but you have player and club to deal with. Soon as you show interest the price goes up and the spoilers go to town. I have my thoughts but am happy for JT, TL and the coaching group to work on filling the gaps that opened up in our ranks over the past 6 months. Grundy was a bust, we have contracted players that I would like to see retire but can you blame them for staying. Harmes may Become a required player now that Hibbo, Dunstan and JJ are out the door. Me, I am enjoying the uncertainty of the next two months, I think we have more exits to tick off and looking forward to who comes in.❤️💙👍

No Kent both Adams and Verrall missed most of the preseason Verrall in fact missed half the season with a pelvis fracture.

Will Verrall is the same size as Luke Jackson so he is tall enough for a ruck/forward, he and Jed Adams need big pre-seasons so we can see how good they are, when fit and healthy both came to us with injuries. !!

Thanks DD What these stats point out is that We have to make significant improvement in a number of key area’s if we want to remain in the top echelon of teams, we need some new blood, as Adonski pointed out several times one player won’t make the difference we need 4-6 new players to put some pressure on our existing players. We need some new perspective on how to improve the skill sets and get the absolute best out of our existing players. Time and tide wait for no man.!!!

That’s a great pickup layzie we all take it for granted but you are correct we didn’t lose games because we ran out of gas most of our losses were purely lack of finishing skills.Selwyn Griffith take a bow.!!!

Me also Dee-tox I was expecting Sparrow ✅ Rivers✅and JJ 👎to step up big time this year and he seems to have gone backwards, played a couple of ripper games at Casey but not cut it at AFL.sad.!!

Thank you Demonland and all posters I am addicted and enjoy reading through most threads there is so much footy knowledge and information on this great site that I no longer buy a newspaper as the info on this site is more reliable less sensationalised and gets down to the grass roots level, that I enjoy and this type of knowledge, insights and information just isn’t available on commercial press. Also a big call out to DD, LH and DC I closely follow stats, list management and membership status and you all do such a great job.❤️💙💕

What a man, what a legend what a Hero for us kids even up in the country my father loved Checker Hughes, Norm Smith and Ronald Dale Barassi and dad followed him to each club that he coached. I stayed true to MFC but not dad he followed Ron and barracked for the team he coached. RDB will be sadly missed but long remembered for what he did and gave to Australian Rules Football.❤️💙💕💕💕

Most of us embraced the experiment but I cannot fathom why we excluded Grundy when neither could kick goals, surely that could have been worked a hell of a lot better. Ego’s or no ego’s.!!

Wow DD some huge lifts and some massive drop offs from critical players we didn’t get an even spread in either final some rose up and a lot didn’t. Footy is such a hard game to play and to watch. A game of huge moments Jake takes a mark and instead of maintaining possession kicks to a pack, Kozzie hits the post. Acres takes a brilliant mark and kicks the winner with a serious shoulder injury.!!!

I loved going to the footy this year so enjoyable as previously mentioned never out of games, watching our membership continue to grow, building expectation, seeing the new blood emerge McVee, JVR, Woey, Laurie I want to see more next year. Top4 finish sitting in a crowd of over 90,000 in both finals where the noise was breathtakingly loud and almost winning both, the sheer anxiety of those two games is still palpable in my mind and the slow walk out of the G surrounded by happy and sad supporters which seemed to take hours, the mixed thoughts of what could have been, the great plays, the errors that rattled my brain. Ahh to be a Dee supporter.❤️💙💕

Yes, yes and yes my family are riding GWS like Sea Biscuit lol.!!! I love the way they play they have a bit more height, pace and skill through the midfield, the very thing we need to stock up on this draft period. Dare I say it, Go Giants and please leave a calling card with Maynard.!!!!

I was sitting up in the bleachers last night MCC L4 the only benefit is that you can see the whole game, match ups, ball movement, strengths and weaknesses. The thing that stood out to me was our ability to close down a side and change the way they play, we were very dominant in in so much of the play whereas the stark difference was their ability to make something out of an error their finishing skills were superior to ours as were the Pies. This is the area that Goodwin and his team must rectify in the off season, you absolutely have to be able to take advantage of all the hard work done up the ground which we are really good at.!!

But only if the players are up to it. We did not lack opportunity ElDiablo we kicked 28 points and 9 out on the full in the two finals game. Game set and match to our opponents.😢

Ever since he did that Razor add in the Gold Robe he has lost some Magic. Lol.!!!
