  1. The thing is KTR there is no easy way to sack the boss, I am almost 80 and I have never seen a happy sacking. Goody like him or hate him has been the boss of our footy team since Paul Roos handed him the baton. I did like the way that Simon mentioned Peter Jackson and Josh Mahoney set our club up for a stable future, which made all this possible. No point being angry with the Board the President even Simon, now is the time to move forward and pray that we can source decent replacements for our current FD.😁👍
  2. Simon will be live screened on MFC website with The President at 1:00pl pm.
  3. Well I was very surprised this morning but not shocked. First off a huge thanks to Simon Goodwin I loved our rise back up the ladder in 2017, who will forget our finals campaign in 2018 beating Hawks & Cats and then 2021 when we played scintillating football, beat the Cats x3, Brisbane in Adelaide, Cats in Perth then The Doggies in the big one, playing the best football that I have ever witnessed we got a Photo with the Cup at the G. Being great in 2023-2023 but kicking ourselves out of a win in the finals, who will ever forget that disgusting game against Pies and then the numbing loss against the Blues. The wheels fell off in 2034 after Tracc’s tragic injury that really rocked the club. I am very disappointed at the way this has ended for Simon and hope that he is OK. You go with our blessings Simon and most of us hope that you enjoy whatever comes your way, you deserve it despite our poor last 18 months. I’m unhappy in the way that Our Club has stuffed this sacking up letting that Rat Morris announce it to the World but Now Demonland can get back to it’s better self.
  4. And that is The Coach Killer QD. I thought that when I heard him say it but didn’t think it would happen.
  5. When you dig right into it deegirl, the only thing that this club needs is to stay competitive for our last three games and start winning on a more regular basis in 2026 and beyond. I’m pretty sure that Pies, Lions and Cats fans couldn’t care less who their boards are as long as they keep winning and remain solvent.
  6. Paul Guera Grovelling, don’t think that would be in his bag of tricks, have you read his resume JF?
  7. Thanks KC let’s hope they continue playing like our last couple of games, also hope they don’t have to fly in and out on the same day that would be pretty tough.
  8. I understand Fact 1 Harvey, but is Paul the best man for the job on a long term basis? Only time will tell, we have an interim CEO in place who has the confidence of the Board.
  9. But but KC you are casting aspersions, I want names and misdeeds to support the veil of negativity, throwing mud does stick in the minds of those that are angry frustrated and wanting to use big brooms to clean the place out Or even torch the place. Based on what exactly, it smacks of The Mob syndrome. As RDB said give me facts(disposals) and I will shut up.
  10. I’m starting to find this thread so contradictory that I can’t remember who said “doesn’t matter who they support as long as they are the best in class” to “yes it does matter they must have red n blue blood running in their veins”. Yet and I say Yet what calamity’s have our Board perpetrated on us in the last four years. I’m all ears, seeing how poorly they are being discussed on DLand we must be in a financially disastrous situation, they are all Dunder heads, I use a term on the Jai Scully thread, pump the brakes. Let’s hear your specifics and mention who made the blunder, don’t hurl abuse at a group to suit your narrative, or point of view or anger and frustration, leave that to the press including Caro, etc, etc, etc.
  11. It’s hard to pump the brakes DeeSpencer when this kid comes in late and shows so much on debut and pulls on his jumper and waves to his Demon family after taking a brilliant mark and kicking truely. Agree with LITD, he was recovering from an ACL at Wet Toast. Poor player management .
  12. Yes Roy11 his kicks to Max and Petty were Melksham like, definitely 2 goal assists. 👍👏
  13. Salem was brilliant yesterday and watching the replay again today I thought Judd had his best game and played with a bit of surety yesterday. Actually Disco, Howes, Bowey, McVee and Rivers all jelled really well with TMac and Salo tidying up around them. I thought this group are growing before our eyes, hope TMac goes around again.
  14. Can I just say I’m hoping like hell that they are both in the Red and Blue for the foreseeable future, really liked what I saw yesterday, they both not only look invested in their own form but both played a very unselfish inclusive game style that I haven’t seen for a while. Since round five we haven’t been hammered by any side apart from our ****ty last quarter vs Saints.
  15. I don’t know anyone at board level, who are you referring to D Rev??
  16. A bit cheeky FTB, but Disco is on a steep upward curve that’s for sure.
  17. PS( I wonder what Caro is going to say about that rabble of a club that didn’t win a single quarter of footy and got beaten by 84 points yesterday, I mean Richmond of course 167 points between our two clubs yesterday).
  18. Not quite Adonski it is an accurate kick that comes in a lot faster and prevents extra backs intercepting, IE a lot of our long bombs are like pie floaters coming in and easy to kill.
  19. They have been to the draft with a lot of picks for a number of years Ethan it’s not our fault that they don’t have a Jason Taylor picking for them.
  20. I thought that the Eagles had a crack in the first half, moved the ball well at times but we always had their measure. 10 goal third quarter showed some real class in patches and shut them out of the game. We stayed alert and continued to build the lead in the last. Jack Viney 20 contested tells his story today and Clayton Oliver looked like Clarry, Max was great as was Salo and how tough is Rivers still took a lazy 10 marks. Our kids all played well and a great debut for Jai Culley, great to see Troy Simmonds hand him his guernsey today. 83 point winners are grinner’s. Great comeback Dees. kozzi had 10 score involvements but looked off today his kicking was a bit iffy.
  21. Good summary Joeboy, Sharp didn’t get much time but helped set up a goal soon after coming on.
  22. 6 - Max 5 - Viney 4 - Salem 3 - Fritta 2 - Bowey 1 - Clayton Very good team effort today, there were another couple that deserve votes. I really really enjoyed the 3 rd quarter.
  23. What a great player, Captain, strong mark and great kick is David Neitz, if we had him now we would have another two flags.
  24. Brad Green is the President of the MFC last time I looked, sounds like Caro has spun it all together to show what a mess of a club we are after losing to Saints last week, AFL Media love to put the boots into us, knowing that our CEO is in transition, we are are an easy target. They know how to get up our skirts because we always react in the same way, even our more measured supporters have been worn down over time that is why I have disengaged from the media pack.
