  1. I wouldn’t write him off DeeSpencer, Harry has been getting plenty of support from his teammates maybe this will lead to them looking for him more and drawing some extra protection his way. Hopefully Sharp can cut the mustard, he has raw speed and endurance that we are short on, The King will find his niche.
  2. My Break-out players are- Trent Rivers- Midfielder ( dependant on Jiath releasing him from hbf) Caleb Windsor - Mid/Wing looks ready to go. Jacob van Rooyen- leaner meaner will be assisted by Brody Mihocek’s presence fwd. JAI Culley- Mid/Wing fast strong aerial game Harry Sharp - Mid/Fwd has won every speed and endurance event to date, King will find a way to utilise his pace. They are the five that I will be hoping for But we should also expect to see an incremental lift from Sparrow, Chandler, CJ, Fritta and Howes in a more open instinctive environment. And I haven’t even mentioned our other young guns across all lines. Like Go DS I am looking forward to seeing what our group can deliver in ‘26, barring serious injury.
  3. Go DS do you mean if the backline save 5-6 extra goals and our mids/fwd’s kick an extra 5-6 we would average an extra 11 goals/game?
  4. Having read through most threads and player, coaches quotes May was advised to have a look around to see if he could get a deal past 2026, when he asked can I come back if I don’t get an offer, he was told Yes but there are no guarantees, all positions have to be earnt. That applies to all players.
  5. Thanks Tarax Club Looking forward to having a look at 1909-1945, 1945 being my birth year.👍😁
  6. GS_1905, Key Backs - Steven May, Harrison Petty, Tom McDonald, Daniel Turner, Jake Lever and Jed Adams Back flankers - C Jiath, Xavier Taylor, Blake Howes, Xavier Lindsay, Trent Rivers, Jake Bowey, Christian Salem, Andy Moniz- Wakefield Mids - Jack Steele, Jack Viney, Kysaiah Pickett AA, Caleb Windsor, Ed Langdon, Jai Culley, Harvey Langford, Tom Sparrow, Trent Rivers, Koltyn Tholstrup. Fwd’s - Brody Mihocek, Jacob van Rooyen, Bailey Fritsch, Jake Melksham, Shane McAdam, Aidan Johnson, Kade Chandler, Harry Sharp, Mathew Jefferson, Luker Kentfield, Latrell Pickett and potentially Thomas Mathews Rucks- Max Gawn AA, Max Heath, Tom Campbell, Kalani White (JvR, AJ, TC spares, Kalani building craft and strength) Jack Steele is a 2x AA and will be given a lot of rope, a fit JV is a brute tackling machine, Kozzie AA, Langdon B+, Rivers should go to B+ as could Langford and Windsor. Do we have enough A+’s, B and B+ players on our list, well Kingy has thrown down the gauntlet and said that all positions are open and will be decided during the preseason and practice games, GS personally I have a strong belief that this group of 20-25 years olds will rattle the cages this year and that is exactly what he wants to happen. Losing CP5 and C13 weakened us But allows a lot of new opportunities for our youngsters and the new game plan to develop and be accepted more readily.
  7. Agree DiscoStu17, TC should be “break glass” if Max is injured, I’m hoping the coach can find a spot for Max Heath in the 23 to provide fwd/ruck support rather than Rooey or AJ. All three may have to fill the gap at different times which may free up a forward spot for Jefferson/Kentfield. At least we have options.
  8. Only the CEO, President, Richo, Tim Lamb and the new COO could answer That one Willmoy1947. I’m hoping that he honours his new contract and plays some good footy for GWS but time will tell. 🤞
  9. Wishing all Demonlanders and their families a Happy and fulfilling New Year, 2026 has a nice ring to it. Go Dees.👍❤️💙
  10. Agree R(B)G, that backline coverage of talls is very strong for ‘26 and with JvR & Mihocek Plus Heath, Jefferson, Kentfield and AJ all pushing for that 3rd tall spot it is going to be a very exciting time for us Dee supporters, if 2-3 really light it up it will get the supporters back through the gates.
  11. Whereas if the Coach who wants a player to stay gets lambasted by supporters who want them gone. Go figger.
  12. Some will hang onto Clayton to hit the club over the head for the decision to off load him, some will hang onto him until he implodes then say told you so. Me I sleep comfortably at night knowing even though we are still paying $650k for him he was the Best Mid we ever saw in the Red and Blue.
  13. Brody Mihocek and Max Heath have effectively pushed AJ a further two spots down the list and he will probably play mostly at Casey however he provides fwd/ruck insurance in the event of injury.
  14. RIP Troy.❤️💙👍💕
  15. Jeez Bluey right on cue.😁
  16. RIF it has been pointed out by mauriesy in an above post that there are numerous major organisations sponsored by this Group, including several other AFL sides so why go after Paul Guera, no one knows there is an issue until it is uncovered. I feel more sorry for the 1700 employees that are laid off just before Xmas.
  17. Ned Guy does anyone know him, seems like a bit of a mixed bag of skills and experiences with player management, Clubland list management and four years in at the AFL. Head of Strategy and Innovation for men’s and women’s programs, how does he fit into the Org chart, who does he report to and who reports to him? Looking forward to Demonland expertise providing some detail on this role.
  18. Strongly agree rjay and don’t mind our away strip as well.
  19. Hi Wrecker46 I did say apart from Neita, Adem and Russell who are indeed legends of the club, poorly worded on my behalf.
  20. Funny that you mention Vince SL my wife loved apart from Neita, Yze and Robbo, she loved Clint Bizzell, Bernie Vince, Cam Pederson, Sam Frost and the senior player that came over from the bullies. They all punched above their weight and left nothing out on the park.
  21. Like a lot of fellow Dlanders I was so rapt that Harvey Langford slipped through to us at No.6, the highlight package shows glimpses of just how good he is and what we can look forward to in the coming years, he will help fill the holes left in our midfield and as Ghostwriter mentioned he said that he is now 192cm. I have a similar vibe for Xavier Taylor something special about XT and another 192cm mobile defender to toughen up our back six.
  22. If he got the job it would have been “The boys Club”, he misses out it’s sacrilege, why didn’t we go after someone who is more worldly and has outside experience, which we did. David did a very good job under very trying conditions he probably needs a break and COO is a pretty well respected role. personally i believe the club is in a better place.
  23. Thanks Demonland we watched it on Utube tonight and it was a good watch, love watching the boys and coaches getting around each other.
  24. Huge thanks to Demonland, Ghostwriter and all posters and special comments the boys were promised a gruelling day and they sure got it. Kingy mentioned during his discussion that the reason that they are training so hard is like an insurance for the boys to know that they can keep going when the going gets tough or words to that effect. I really love these training threads and look forward to when the club come back in January. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to all Demonlanders and your families.😁👍❤️💙💕🎄
  25. The lisfranc injury is a definite downer KC but the medical team must be pretty confident of a full recovery in this instance. Jake Bowey has had some bad luck with his collarbone and now foot but he showed in 2025 what a great player that he has become. Well done Bowsa.
