We are in a bit of a quandary on our road trip North, Mildura excellent caught up with my wider family cousins from SA and best school mate, Forbes was a long drive, Tamworth really nice stay. Took the Mountain View’s drive to Coffs Harbour nearly burnt out our brakes getting there. Lay day today and visited the beach, big banana, etc. last leg Noosa tomorrow pick 3 more passengers up at the airport But can’t book in to our accommodation until 3:00. Probably miss the first half then out for dinner to celebrate my 80th birthday. lol.!! Then a week to recover in the sunshine.👍😁

Given the role that Steven May plays for our club and the strength and skill that he has displayed for us over a prolonged time frame, the broken bones and concussions endured to make our defence possibly the strongest in the league. I am a bit dismayed at the lack of respect and care that he is being afforded by the press and some on this forum, the King is dead long live the king. I am finding it a bit troubling.

Would I like Steven to start immediately, Yes but do I respect him for not deserting his current team as they head into a preliminary final where he is in charge of the critical midfield- Yes. Shows that his current Coach trusts him implicitly, is that the sort of man we want - Yes.👍

To my mind we need to chase player that at a minimum - 1- fill a perceived hole in our list present or future 2 - immediately improve your bottom 6-10 players 3 - improve depth and provide just in case scenario, a la TC. Wade Derkson shores up our tall Back stock Max Heath would improve our ruck stocks immediately Sam Flanders immediately improves our best 23 These are the types of players we need to improve our list.
