  1. Just me but I thought we looked a bit leg weary right from the start, whereas they looked faster and sharper even though they were making just as many mistakes as us and getting the rub of the green from umpires (4+ goals from magoo’s decisions + 50m penalties). But digging deeper quarter by quarter we had 6-8 players that recorded 4 or less touches in each quarter. And some of the players that went missing is really telling, was Disco, McVee, Trac, Langdon, TMac carrying injuries as they were all well down on previous games. I guess the stats will tell the story,
  2. Agree jnrmac, AJ has to come in and Luker Kentfield is really showing some aggression, class and skill, Jeezuz ad Mitch Hardie to the list in the off season and there is the backbone of our fwd line, with Kozzie, Fritta and Rooey adding the finishing touches it looks quite lethal.
  3. David King is a typical Over Actor, you heard it here first kind of dude. 6 weeks is what Maynard should have got ( football act).
  4. I was just reading the VFL Match day site with the player stats and reading the DLand Casey thread at the same time made for a very enjoyable couple of hrs, apart from a few lulls in the game. I’ve been waiting for Casey to really hit their straps and today was that day. Exact opposite to last night.
  5. 6 - Kozzie ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 5 - Salem 4 - Max 3 - Riv 2 - Fritta 1 - Claz Jeez 80 more touches, only 8 more I50’s, we were in struggle street all night, we had a couple of bursts but they looked the better side with their kicking efficiency. Still great to see Clayton carried off by Tracc and Salo.
  6. Karzie Kozzie, Matty Jefferson, my daughter calls him the librarian. lol.!!!
  7. That is brilliant Fork ‘em thanks so much.
  8. Bravo DP.👍💕
  9. Big thanks for Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger and all posters the reports indicate very low key Captains Run today but probably due to 6 day break. Really looking forward to watching the game tomorrow night.
  10. I think he meant in the last 12 months.😁
  11. Both hhf’s cf. Tom is more solidly built and Harry is a lot faster and can both kick goals.👍😁
  12. Changes are like for like - In May & Sharp Out Lever & Sparrow (both injured).
  13. Goody said on SEN that Petty has missed four weeks and will return via Casey, so that’s Lever, Spaz and Petty out, so TMac should stay in and perhaps Howes replaces Rick??
  14. Listening to SEN this morning JTR they asked Goody Re a Fritsch trade and Goody said no way we need forward’s he is a required player. So I think it is just another media B/S.👍😁
  15. Thanks for posting this Sir Why You Little, it was an interesting listen, Tim and Gary asked some good questions and I thought Goody responded as well as possible under the circumstances.
  16. Jeez Cranky Franky, Clayton Oliver won every available award from when he started in 2016 through to 2022, he was our most decorated player at age 25. Only the Brownlow medal eluded him, he hit a rough patch in 2023-24 and is currently rebuilding his career with MFC. It’s his 200th Game on Saturday night and he deserves full recognition for his service to Our footy club which includes our only Premiership in 57 years.❤️💙
  17. You have to remember DR the Coach said I won’t place limitations on the players, if he said we are seriously limited and the group are struggling with the new game plan, would that have made everyone happier that we have performed below par??
  18. Thanks DD how good to see nine Premiership players plus Harvey Langford making up our top ten.
  19. Thanks for the update Chelly, a bit sad for Rick that ankle/ foot issue has really affected his 2025, let’s hope they keep him out until it is back to 100%.
  20. It is a real bug bear of mine as well TP, it has become chronic this year and the 4 umpires seem oblivious to seeing people fly out of packs or worse when packs collapse onto each other. Our AFL Administrators need to reel it in before it becomes the “norm” in the juniors as well. Thanks for pointing it out.
  21. It certainly outweighs anything spoken by those outside the loop looking in. Thanks Ollie and GW.👍💕
  22. What more can we say Harvey Langford is even better than we hoped for, he’s come on quicker than expected and he helps make us a better team, cant think of another youngster that I would rather have at MFC than Harv.
  23. how good is it to finally have a replay that you can actually watch and see how hard we scrapped in the first half to stay in it then slowly wore them down and finally opened up a decent gap on them. So good to see all our senior players so determined and hard at it led by Max, Tracc, Jack, Clayton, Salo, Ed, Fritta, TMac and Milkshake ⭐ Closely supported by our younger brigade and kids who played their hearts out, Bowey, Chin, Riv, McVee, Disco and then Rooey, Harvey, XL and finally Matty. We need to keep playing Kolt and Windsor as they will be part of our future and somehow get Blake Howes into the side. Rick isn’t back to his best but showing promising signs. Our conundrum is how do we keep TMac in when May is ready and how do we keep Matty in when Petty is right and who comes out for Howes and How Bloody good is Harvey ( love this kid), he has class and leadership written all over him did everyone notice how he Ushered Max away from the action and then beckoned the other players to move over towards Spaz.
  24. Agree EH I thought minimum 4 weeks it was all so unnecessary Xerri just couldn’t help himself, no doubt he regrets it but the damage is done and there is no comparison to Kozzie sliding into Moore. 3 weeks just isn’t enough.
  25. I rewatched the game again today and was surprised at just how involved he was, took some heavy punishment as well but I guess he would cop a bit at VFL level. His handball to Ed to Chin and goal was excellent, I agree with Ollie, he needs improve his conversion as well and I liked that he lead away from the other fwd’s to create an option. Hope they continue playing him and Rooey together for the rest of the year providing they are both fit of course.
