Thanks DD Harvey Langford and Christian Salem were at the elite level last night, Harvey’s a real jet.

Had a listen to both interviews, very confident speaker has a great resume in very senior leadership roles. Spoke glowingly of Goody and his achievements as player and coach but underachieving and time to move on. Looking to the next decade, getting our next coach in by Prelim Final W/E is the highest priority along with him taking over the reins in the next couple of weeks. Our move to Caulfield Racecourse announcement not far off, loved the debunking of the Caro rumours that Brad wants to retain the crown, Board decision but Brad and Steve in accord for hand over before the year end ( loved that). Also that there may be a different role for Mark Williams at the club. All in all spoke very openly and like he has slotted in seamlessly to our club, only time will tell but I like the cut of hid jib.

Another failed year, reminds me a bit of 2019-2020, are we close? Goody thinks we are but that means nothing now, watching the game last night it was pretty obvious that when we play the new game style and all our veterans play to their strengths it provides our younger brigade a lot of confidence to take the game on. We really surged in the second half and ended the game with eight of the top ten rated players on the night. Yet we fell short again. Lapsing into that old mindset in the latter minutes of the last kicking 1.5 to their 4.1. Bitterly disappointing way to finish the year even though showing a glimmer of hope for 2026. For me I don’t want massive changes, I want tweaks, some new blood and a coach that has the strength and vision to bring this group of players to a point where they celebrate individuality and selflessness in equal portions and instill that burning desire to win. Plus a level of fitness that we enjoyed in 2021-2022.

I get the angst with Steven May but for a defender to have 20 kicks, 3 handballs & 12 marks, yes 12 marks and a tackle, what would we have been beaten by without Steven???

58,191 for 2025, guess we are back to 2021 pre- premiership numbers, it was nice to get that three year bump particularly 2023 when we actually achieved 70,000. The boys really played some exciting football and we all hoped it would last. I guess we just have to buckle up and wait for the next wave, just hope it’s not to long.👍😁

The only 3 that could miss are TMac, Milkshake and Lever. A new coach will rekindle the playing group but I will watch this space with much interest.😁👍

The good news is that Choco will see out his contract and finish up when the VFL finish the year and hopefully a good finals series.

I’m starting to see a trend, since we pulled the Kalani White story until the AFL made the announcement , probably everything has to go via the AFL who possibly pass to their favoured media. Sceptic maybe, maybe not.

Well that two premiership coaches out the door, I think that Mark Williams helped rev the club up with the DNA, set up at Casey. But understand the new coach will want his own development team around him and we need a new direction as well. Thanks Mark Choco Williams it has been a very fruitful exercise for the MFC. Flags for our AFL and VFL teams since he joined the crew. Good luck on all future endeavours Mark and thanks for your help and guidance since you joined the mighty Dees. What a great story teller and all true stories.👍😁❤️💙

Such great news for the club and relief for Jeff, fancy having to barrack for Gold Coast. Thanks Kalani and Tim Lamb for bringing this about, we have all been tracking Kalani since he was a baby. His dad took three years to mature and hit his straps and what a great footballer he turned out to be. Feeling really chuffed about Kalani’s choice provides a bit of a lift for the whole club.👍❤️💙

Good luck Marty Hore, so sad that you didn’t get the opportunity to play more games due to injuries. I met him at the family day at the G in 2019, he was such a friendly bloke and easy to talk with. I was happy when we picked him up the second time around but Marty has had a diabolical time with season ending injuries. Hope you have better luck with the next phase of your life Marty.👍😁

Has anyone told Cam Bruce about his move back to the Dees I would have thought he would be 100% focussed on getting the Lions through a tough finals campaign and his Coach recently admitted that Cam was the one calling the shots from the Box on game days. He would be a great get but where is this coming from, Media…??
