PRESEASON TRAINING: Saturday 8th March 2025
Langford, Windsor, Lindsay and Tholstrup are our future, I think Windsor and Langford are closer to the pin than XL and Kolt from a fitness point of view but I reckon the club have high expectations for these Four.

Forward line questions
Looking back to the last Gold Coast game our forwards performed rather well, we got some clean ball into the fwd50 Rooey lead to the right and Disco lead straight out with Petty just behind him splitting up their backs, worked well. The coaches work on building expectations and belief, we have the cattle, even a Bison, we are a week out from the start of 2025. Time for us supporters to stop handwringing and looking in the rear view mirror, itās time to strap yourself in for a hell ov a ride in 2025. Go Dees.ā¤ļøšš

Forward line questions
I know this is a Fwd Line thread but Iāll tell you what I believe is a huge improvement on last year, our Midfield setup is looking far superior now that Jones and Radford have taken control. Some of our setups last year allowed the opposition to continually waltz the ball out of the middle with little or no opposition, cost us the last game against GWS. We really missed Adem Yze last year.

Forward line questions
Yet!! Bluey, give them time to gel we have to work out who our best fwdās are, ie, Rooey, Disco, Jefferson, AJ, Langford, Kolt, Tracc, Culley plus what mix of smalls in Kozzie, Chin, Sharpe, Henderson, Pup. We have a lot of options but need to quickly identify the best group going forward.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Thursday 6th March 2025
We really need to get a Demonlander on the FD payroll in an assistant Media Officer role, that would assist our Training reports immensely. What do you think DannyZ and Redleg. ššš

Ben Brown appointed Head of Development for Essendon AFLW
Huge thanks to BBB and his family for what they bought to the MFC, so important for us in our drought breaking year. Although I would prefer that Ben stayed at Melbourne there are clubs out there that need him more than us. Goodbye BBB letās hope that you can reunite with us at a later stage in your career.ā¤ļøššŖ

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Fremantle
We were out all afternoon and had visitors last night so I was just sneaking a look at the player stats during the game, I thought that Chandler and Disco must have been injured as their stats werenāt moving like everyone elseās. I watched the game when everyone left. Surprised that no one is mentioning Steven May, he was brilliant as was Salem, Tracc, Clayton, Mr Ed, Max and Spaz. Boweyās turnovers really stood out as they cost us dearly, as did Billings lack of finishing skills, what was Fritta thinking. His job is finishing. Windsor, Lindsay, Langford, Sharpe and AJ will all be better for the run. We sorely missed Rooey, Petty, TMac and Judd McVee. Letās hope that Jack Henderson can step up to the plate. The big takeaway for me is our fitness, we ran the game out in 32+ degree heat on the other side of the country and had 14 shots for goal in the last quarter but only managed 5.9. We won all the contested KPIās and had 63 inside 50ās, we are on the way back. šš

Kudos Brad Green
You really have to love Brad Green, not only a champion player (who could forget his brilliance against Carlton in that qualifying final in 2000) a great captain, a committed Melbourne person and now an inspirational, generous and thoughtful President. Bravo Brad Green.ā¤ļøš

Information for Rd 01 vs GWS
I was there as well didnāt we set a new record for poor attendance at Telstra Dome, exceptionally poor turnout even for then.!!

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
I think it will come down to how Jai continues to perform in the Casey midfield, but if he regains his former touch he provides coverage for our three big mids in Tracc, Clayton and Riv plus Langford. Virtually an Ace in the hole.!!

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
No I donāt think he is fighting for Spazās spot Roost it far, Tommy is smaller and faster and is now battle hardened and I am expecting him to get a bigger role going forward. Jai is a much bigger unit at 194cm inside mid forward, he is basically the same height as Rooey, Disco, Jefferson and Luker Kentfield, plus he is well developed after being on an AFL list for a number of years. If he can recapture his earlier form he and Langford could really boost our midfield group.
