POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs West Coast
We arrived at the G a bit earlier than usual, great to see so many kids running around in the Red and Blue, we sit on L2 Souther stand. Plenty of usual Dee families around us, sitting in the glorious sunshine very boisterous Demon Army over to our right. Excellent game today, stress free, fast ball movement, the team was hard and tough all day, accuracy in front of goal, kids and mature agers all playing well. Rivers lead the way, how good are JVR, Tholstrup, Windsor and McVee. Milkshake adds poise, class, leadership and toughness to our young forward line. We gave as good as we got, I yelled myself hoarse, enjoyed the company around me and loved hearing the Demon Army celebrating the goal fest and putting pressure on their defenders as they kicked out. The 4&20 and coffee were hot and we had a very relaxed drive home lamenting not kicking the filth out of the eight.😁😁

Stats Files - 2024
Thanks DD we knew that Riv was coming but that effort was off the charts, brilliant team game with our youngsters providing the spark around the ground. Having Max, JV, TMac, Salo, Ed, May, Lever and Milkshake providing the hard bodies and leadership it allowed our youngsters to break the game open. Also nice to see our aggression at their players.

Andy Moniz-Wakefield to Debut
Another excellent game for Andy Moniz-Wakefield, he looks so much better live than watching on TV where you can’t see just how fast and effective he is. I hope that we keep playing him and I like his suggested nickname “Wheels”.

Jake Melksham returning
Bravo Jake Melksham you helped make us a better and tougher team.

VOTES: Rd 17 vs West Coast
6 - Trent Rivers, has taken over the reins 5 - Jacob van Rooyen, best yet 4.4 could have been 5-6. 4 - Caleb “The Duke” Windsor showed his full range of skills today, had strong impact 3 - Tom McDonald provided defensive excellence , I would also love him to go around again in ‘25. 2 - Kozzie what a great game and loved that he finally took that screamer. 1 - Mr. Ed Langdon back to his best, looks like he is enjoying playing footy again, maybe a new contract just around the corner? Then ANB, Jake Melksham (makes us better), Kolt, Chandler, Salo, Judd McVee, Frittata is back, we batted deep today, great team effort, no passengers.

The Kolt was certainly up and about today got us started and I didn’t see him waste a disposal, excellent mark and short kick, loves a bit of rough and tumble.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Brisbane Lions
If you look at both sides Lions were just to talented around the ground, their older depth players had so much of the ball and they have won all five of their last games very convincingly. Despite our lack of class and depth the boys kept on trying until the end. We really do need to bring in some midfield stock this draft period at Dee’s and Casey!!

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs West Coast
Personally I was expecting Jake to play a couple of games at Casey but I am not concerned that he will be playing on the G on Sunday, Goody did say that Jake had 6-7 weeks under match loading which is much more than all other players coming back from injury. As for our team I agree with a number of posters that we are going in a tall short.!!

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Looking at Jefferson at the start of the year and seeing him now he has done a lot of growing physically and confidence wise. He is getting very close but do we risk him on such an important occasion, we have to beat the Weagles on Sunday, no ifs, buts or maybes.

Jake Melksham returning
Personally I’m hoping that he plays two at Casey to get him cherry ripe for the backend of the year and hopefully finals, Jake is the seasoned head that we need in our forward line, he could be the difference. Welcome back Jake.💕

Potential Father Son Prospect Noah Yze
That is the burning question Mono 6’3” in old terms fwd/back, great hands and team player and Adem Yze’s boy. Let’s hope he has a good run in the second half and earns a spot on the list. I love the romance of father/sons.

2024 Injury List
Well having Milkshake & Marty Hore available will definitely make Casey that much stronger and hopefully Will Verrall, Jake Bowey and Harrison Petty will be OK, not sure about Christian Salem or Benny Brown.

Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
Great to see Christian being interviewed on the MFC website he is starting the long journey to full recovery and the fact that as previously mentioned he is eyeing his spot on the bench when he is fit enough to rejoin the club fills me with confidence that he will be OK. Thanks Tracca and MFC.💕
