We donโt have to fret any more as MFC have advised that Lachie Hunter effectively retired today.

Nathan Bassett to Dees as Forwards Coach?
Jnrmac to be fair he did coach the Power fwd line during his 8 year stint there and who knows who else is available, Iโm sure the coaching brethren would be across who and what is available.

Nathan Bassett to Dees as Forwards Coach?
Nathan Bassett has had a long and varied career in SNAFL and AFL, 210 games with Crows, Coached Redlegs to three consecutive Grand finals winning two, 2 years with bummers then 8 years with Port as fwd and backline coach finishing up at the end of 2023. Spent 2024 back at Redlegs in a FD management role and has a lot of experience with player development as well. We traded the boy back home due to serious injury, I am interested in seeing what the man can bring back to the Dees.

The Wade Derksen Thread
That is the burning question Dee Boys, we know that three of them are on the rise, we need another three to show their worth next year and the other three to be ready to roll in โ26. It all comes down to development, we need to snag a great forward & ruck coach asap. We do not want to waste these youngsters.๐

The Wade Derksen Thread
The good thing out of this is we are building a group of youngish talls with potential that we have previously lacked. Petty 197cm, Fullarton 200cm, Verrall 200cm, Adams 196cm, Jefferson 196cm, van Rooyen 194cm, Turner 194cm, Kentfield 194cm, Derksen 194? Maybe. This group have the potential to grow together and cover all KPF and KPB positions at VFL/AFL level given we have Max, May, Lever & TMac as our 4 tall leaders. We desperately need a mature tall to fill in for Max in an emergency.

1924 AND ALL THAT - PART SEVENย by Whispering Jack
Youโll get no argument from me 58er, we have the experience, class and exuberance of some quality youth, need our best fit and a memorable draft a La 2019 and we are on our way. Fingers crossed we get some Lady Luck in 2025-2026.

2024 Brownlow Medal
Obviously the umpires voting on Blues games are crippscentric and the umps voting the Pies Games are Nickcentric even when Josh is the best of the two. Those final count numbers are way off line for where both clubs finished and the closeness of some games!!!!

2024 Brownlow Medal
That is huge but he is a game changer and obviously no one taking votes off him.

Training Ground?
Funnily enough I am hooked on it and I have gone right off the AFL. ๐

The Wade Derksen Thread
Good news indeed, good height, athletic can play forward, back or ruck, heโs 23 and has chosen us as his destination club, letโs hope we can get it done. We need talls with potential too cover for BBB, Schache and potentially Adam Tomlinson.

Delistings 2024

Is that you Tom???

Goodwin is the MAN!
Well picket itโs better than 0 - 8 but if we get a decent run at the preseason, we have a full list and donโt have a massive injury list we will think that 4 -4 is poor.

Training Ground?
I donโt know Adam Iโm not privy to any of the discussions that have taken place over the past 6 months.
-
Training Ground?
Thatโs not how it works Adam and I donโt believe that any of the stakeholders are the ones trying to poke holes in it. Everyone needs to chill and see how the business plan works out, instead of jumping at shadows and supposition.

For those who underrate our 2021 premiershipโฆ
Our Premiership win in 2021 was absolutely breathtakingly brilliant, once we broke their momentum when they lead us by 19 points early in the 3rd we kicked 16 goals to their 1. I have never seen football like it before or since, that last 47 seconds in the 3rd where we slammed on 3 goals was superb. I have watched the Granny numerous times just to reassure myself just how good we were. I have also watched โSound The Alarmโ numerous times to get a handle on what was happening behind the scenes during the game. We would have won it anywhere in โ21, that team had that something special about it that made them invincible on the dayโฆSighโฆ!!!

Brayden Preuss - Delisted
Heโd be ok Bluey but he canโt get on the park, Tim Lamb would want to think long and hard about another NQR on the list.

I agree Katrina the Press have an Agenda against MFC, they have been hammering away at us all year, itโs like an inside ploy to spin a negative slur or attack on any bit of news that can detract from our club and blow it out of all proportion. To be honest the Clubs response of not commenting has worked to our detriment. There are several clubs out there very happy seeing us take the heat away from them, or is that part of the ploy. The word Culture appears to Trigger a lot of people in the Press in a negative manner.
