PRACTICE MATCH: Sunday February 18th 2024 @ Casey Fields
DeeZone replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
We attended the family day out at Casey fields last year and had a great day and it was well attended, should be huge with the Tiges supporters there as well.!! -
So Verrall, Schache and Farris-White are now Max’s backup and support, hopefully Fullarton will be ready in a couple of months??

A big thanks to all reporters, special comments and posters a great cross section of DL. Also great that so many supporters turned up to watch the boys on Australia Day PH and of course Demonland for compilation of al reports got to read through them again when we finally arrived home last night, we had a great day out. -

Happy Australia Day to all Demonlanders big family get together.today but will keep my eye out for any Training Reports that might sneak through.🇦🇺✅😁 -
That would be a good outcome a bit like Jake Melksham from all the reports he is doing some serious coaching from the sidelines.

I feel sorry for BBB that he had to have surgery and now another lengthy rehab but I wasn’t counting on Benny playing any role for us at AFL level this year. Would have been good for him to kick a bag for Casey and help develop Jefferson and maybe just maybe get fit enough to help cover for injuries.
-
Don’t forget Will Verrall he was highly rated as a ruck/fwd in his junior years, he had a significant pelvis injury early last year but is now starting to show a bit. Listed at 199cm Will is same height as Tom Fullarton and Josh Schache, so we potentially have three players that can provide 2nd ruck / fwd relief for the side whilst KFW at 206cm continues to develop at Casey. If they all stay fit Casey will benefit from our ruck strength in 2024 and beyond.

Well that has been an enjoyable and fun read, so many to thank but here goes - thanks Demonland, DeeSpencer, WayneWussell, Startibart, Deespicable, Nascent, Scoop Junior and all posters, all great reports and excellent comments. Felt like I was there and in very hot conditions to boot.😁😁

Thanks Six6six, 2016 definitely saw us on the move, we have a pulse but still being dogged with injuries.

We already know how good Trent Rivers is by the end of 2024 he will be known in the wider AFL community, he is a real beauty.!! -
Looks like our team circa 2015 - 2016 a lot of talent and potential thank goodness we already have the stars ready and mostly available. The difference between then and now we can bring them in as they knock the door down.😁

Windsor certainly looks the goods, definitely future winger or outside mid with pace and skill. -
To be honest as a retired member I don’t mind Thursday night football I travel with two of my daughters one of who is a school teacher and the other has two primary school kids and it can be a pain but if it’s a home game we all make it work!!

Thanks Picket great report, sounds like everyone was involved and working very hard during the drills. Surprised you didn’t grab that Time Machine and head back to 1955.!! -
Matt Brewer, son of former Dee -Ross Brewer has been appointed Senior Coach of Casey VFLW team for 2024. I didn’t see anything on Demonland so looking for a bit of info on Matt was he ever considered at MFC?
-
I take it that no one could venture out to Casey Fields today for Monday Training.???
-
The same goes for young Kynan Brown judging from his Coates League form he could be one from left field and cost us nothing.
-
I have high hopes for McAdam and Billing’s but they have already proved themselves, Bill is another story will he grasp his opportunities with both hands as all good players do or fade out of the picture. I still expect that it comes down to Woewodin, Bill, Howes and Turner in 2024 but will be watching Sestan, Verrall and Adams with great interest at Casey. There is no rush on Jefferson, Windsor and the Colt but they could surprise.
-
If memory serves me correctly Petracca racked up 10.3k with his first 30 touches in the Granny but I could be wrong. 😁
-
I am really loving this series 6Six6, such a critical time for the Club.
-
That is so true Ethan.😁
-
As much as we have all loved BBB in the past a degenerative knee has no place in the ruck with so many knee clashes prevalent in the game. I am hoping that he kicks a bag at Casey and is ok if and when we need him. I also expect Fullarton to play regular game time and watching Verrall closely as his backup.

Now you are just being argumentative you have your thoughts I have mine and it appears that nair the twain shall meet.!!
-
Thanks Dazzle36 let’s hope that we get a shot at him in the next draft, Ricky Mentha has a nice ring to it.
-
That is brilliant Six6six. Love that action photography and as mentioned by Dazzle it really shows the player’s muscular definition and I am even more buoyant about our kids coming through. I also loved the Easy Beats on the sound track they were a favourite of mine back in the early - mid 60’s, they did a stint up in Mildura I think at the Murray Moon dance hall and a bunch of friends and I got to meet them and have a smoke out the front of the hall with them. We were all very young at the time. Great memories.!!
