  1. 1 - Tyson 2 - McDonald 3 - Viney 4 - Jetta 5 - Stretch 6 - Watts
  2. Hmmnnn I hadn't really noticed him that much, better keep a sharper look out for him??
  3. We can't afford to lose him but can we afford to keep him, with him we could be genuine contenders in the next couple of years but we need to continue to improve our win - loss ratio to give us the impetus to hold the group together. I would hate to see our group picked off one by one because we failed to reach our full potential. Jesse find a great Melbourne girl, settle down and STAY!!! All non Melbourne supporters and commentators are stirring the pot, I get it every day at work it is cruelty and malice all rolled in one. The Club have to find a way to keep him.
  4. We need to start fast and finish strong, we will need to out tackle them and apply extreme pressure for four quarters. The Dee's are good enough if they are switched on like they were last week. We now have the cattle (if inexperienced) and I haven't felt so confidant for a long, long time and I agree with a number of previous posters, it is all "above the shoulders" now. GO DEE'S!!!!
  5. Great to see such spirit, determination and love for the club, well done Jack let's hope his team mates follow suite!!!
  6. I watched the second half again tonight, can't quite believe it, I remember when the game ended on Saturday I just felt so deliriously happy, we soared like an Eagle. The Scorp's were quite brilliant as well yesterday, what a weekend for us mad Dee's supporters.
  7. Another great story for the MFC, well done James, well done development Team.
  8. I do get your point Junior, I think that everyone who attended that game would have felt the same frustrations as you about our inability to change the way that we were playing, I saw the same sort of frustration on the coaches faces whilst watching the replay so what is the answer?
  9. I agree with a lot of what is posted on this site, some more eloquent than others and some a lot funnier than others but I think deep down we all knew that the Saints game was a Danger game for the Dee's, the difference now from the past is that we are all expecting to win every game that we go into and that is a bit of a dilemma as we all soar when we win and we plumb the depths when we lose. Being a Demon over the past 10 years has really been "HELL". The transition in game plans between total defense and total attack will take a bit of time but we now have the players on our list and we are all impatient for them to reach maturity and their full potential and in the mean time we continue to bang our heads against the Wall.
  10. I could not agree more CF, however, the saints aren't renowned for their defence but they managed to run it out of our forward line on 30 + occasions yesterday and with their own clearances on top of this it became a bit of an avalanche and score fest for them, I think that we leaked like a sieve forward and back!!
  11. Thanks BRFE & KC greatly appreciated a good win at Windy Hill, take that any day. Looks like we have 4-6 players that could come into the team if coaches want to reward some effort and rest a couple of the kids or non performers.
  12. 6. Hogan 5. Viney 4.Jones 3. Gawn 2. Watts 1. Tyson
  13. We need Oscar, Weeds or Hulett to develop real quick as we lack marking power and a bit of mongrel down back, remember Neita started his career at CHB he had great hands and could really roost it as well. I know that I shouldn't compare these boys with Neita but he had to start down back and it didn't do him any harm, we had a pretty impressive forward line at that time!!
  14. He was red hot yesterday if we can continue to improve delivery to him he could be that 1 in a Lifetime player for us, not that I want to put to much pressure on him. He looks comfortable all over the ground and covers a lot of territory. What a STAR!!
  15. I like the ground and 27,260 is a whole lot better than our last pathetic effort there when we set a new low crowd record. It certainly wasn't the ground that caused our playing group to not turn up switched on and how we put four OOB on the full from set shots and players running into an open goal can only be hazarded at, conditions were perfect if a bit humid . I drove in took the lift up to L1 and found a coffee and a seat in about 10 minutes flat. Getting out of the car park was another thing, mind you it was a lot quicker than getting out of the G last Sunday night but I was in a happy place then.
  16. I agree that Hunt, Salem & Harmes should make way for Oliver, ANB and one other and even though we got smashed I was really surprised to see that we still achieved 55 Inside fifty's to the saints 57. It was the way they ran it out of our forward fifty that really concerned me, whereas we struggled to stop them from scoring and they were kicking from all angles they also had 14 marks inside 50. Our back line was a shambles yesterday, hopefully it was just a glitch like the Bombers game!!
  17. I agree wholeheartedly with your Night Mare PF he "did us like a dinner", my family and half the stadium were yelling "someone" get on St Nick but I guess "someone" wasn't playing, certainly TMac and Lumumba gave him plenty of space and a wide berth and they did it for four quarters. the saints supporters around us just got noisier and noisier...cringe cringe !!
  18. What a miserable effort after the last 3 weeks playing good tough footy, they outrun us, out marked us, worked harder and played smarter?? a number of their faster types can run flat out and still deliver the ball accurately? We lacked speed and footy smarts!!
  19. I agree with previous posters we cannot afford to take anyone into this game that is not super fit, the Saints ran us off our feet in our last encounter at the G, they showed us up with their run and spread but confidant that our coaches will be on top of that this time around. Gus apart from his opening stanza is playing without rhythm and may need a couple of weeks back at Casey to blow out the cobwebs but who to bring in?
  20. Dunny stiffens up the back line and his long penetrating kicks get the ball the hell out of the enemy's forward 50 with ease, we have played so much better with him in the team and hopefully at 28 we can get another 2-3 years from him. He has battled through the dark times, let him enjoy a bit of sunshine like the rest of us!!!
  21. Yes I watched it again today (I am on night shift), it was a strange look as he ran back towards the centre. I watched his interview as well and he has his confidence back and his Mojo. Go Dom
  22. Thanks for those stat's KC greatly appreciated, looks like JT had a pearler 140 dream team points, I spotted him in the Ryder Room Sunday night surrounded by Dee supporters and he looks in top shape. However it won't be Tyson that will be replaced as I thought Dom played his best game so far for MFC against the Tiges on Sunday night but there will always be an opening for a tough, smart player like JT in the Dee's line up. Go Casey Go Dee's
  23. 6 - Viney 5 - Gawn 4 - Tyson 3 - Vince 2 - Kent 1 - TMac Apologies to - N.Jones, Garlett, Watts, Lumumba, Jetta & Pedo
  24. Unless we have injuries it would be hard to justify dropping anyone from Sunday nights game, they all did their bit and played like a TEAM, WINNING TEAM!!! I am struggling with the fact that we have recruited and developed such great depth in such a short time frame, we could be on the cusp of something great. What an amazing turn around from our previous 3-4 years pre- Roo's
  25. Well what a night it was, fabulous start with the four horseman with the flame, lighting the cauldron, the Last Post hauntingly beautiful, both teams running through the banner together. A tough hard contest by both sides but with Our Boys dominating every stat except tackles (broke even), we kicked away with brilliant play they dragged us back with some help from the umps, however, when ever we were challenged we were able to rally through great team work and individual efforts. I found it exhilarating and to be up in the stands surrounded by all those happy excited faces that I have become so familiar with over the years and to hear them all celebrating every effort and every goal right up until the end and then the joy of singing our 'Song" over and over again until the team finally went down the race. Getting out of the car park was a nightmare but good opportunity to listen to the commentators praising our team for a change. When we finally got home we watched the last quarter then went off to bed with a great inner glow. Go you mighty Demons!!!!
