Agree. He has not shown anything remotely close to suggest he will be a good ordinary player. I understand the injuries he has picked over the years has stunted his development but he is a fair way behind majority of the list. While i was happy with most of the list changes over the trade period the one that was an utterly stupid decision was putting Viv michie on the rookie list instead of Hunt.. Viv has shown to be a handy midfield depth while hunt has shown he struggles to win more then 7 disposals a game at VFL level. Only time will tell..

Former Essendon player Paul Vander Haar's son Todd also signed at Casey. 188cm midfielder who was at Old Xavs this year.

Great insight stuff. Funny i have also heard the players do love him. When he got appointed his way of getting to know the players was inviting them over for a BBQ and few beers at his place.. lol Apparently Bernie is a regular at his joint as both obviously don't mind a few froffs!

You do have to laugh at poor Oliver's pasty rig.. How the hell is he going to go up in the QLD sun on the training camp! -
Jaffa-Williams can seriously play.. Il be watching with keen interest with his form at Casey. Played a couple of games this year for Wodonga raiders which included a one off game with none other then Aaron Davey. I believe that he may be boarding with the Daveys now? Darren Ogier is a quality bloke who has developed some good AFL players from the bushies. He will be a very good inclusion for Casey/MFC young players development.

Interestingly they mentioned Hulett as a 195cm key forward. Some profiles I have read about him have said he is around the 193cm mark who looks solidly built. Maybe he could be a smokey and become a solid combo with Hogan through their sheer size?

I may be wrong but i highly doubt they get club greats in to present jumpers now days? Now its more players and family that do it.

Im heading up there after Chrissy for a kick myself.

Hard to take you serious on your player analysis considering you still rate Stefan Martin as a complete spud in the AFL..Its fair to say majority of supporters and even coaches see Viv as a pretty good midfield depth who can come in and play a role straight away like he did in the 2nd half of the year. The fact you say Michie is a horrid footballer again clearly shows you are clearly way out of your depth. -

And have you seen those 2 Casey boys play?Highly doubt it. -
Sorry but this is the biggest load of rubbish here. Neeld screwed alot of people but hasn't stop the likes of Viney Jones McDonald Dunn and so on from performing well since Neeld has been moved on.If Neeld is at Fault then what does that say about Paul Roos who also hasn't been able to get Watts to the elite player many had hoped for. Seriously people need to stop blaming coaches and other people for development problems. Watts needs to also take ownership for his own destiny for once. 24 years old in his 7th year of AFL football and hes been nothing but a disappointment. Better then Brett Deledio you mean!? Spare me mate seriously..

No he's not.

Keep it simple and just buy each other a slab.. no need to self ban each other if you lose a silly little bet.

Angus Brayshaw's weaknesses coming into the draft was that he needed to work on his endurance. Your getting too worked over something thats hardly an issue regarding to Oliver.

Take the time out to read this great article written by none other then Sam himself. A very impressive individual. Sam Weideman documents his draft experience before and after joining Melbourne -

Forget to add a little something. After the draft I sent an email to my close friend who works with the Murray Bushrangers under 18s development and I asked him about King and this is what I got.. Great kid. Missed first part of season after knee reco last year. Great reader of the game and an awesome knowledge of the game and loves to work hard and learn. Great get. Gave you the Oliver tip !!!!- 89 replies
