Hawthorn rated Salem a top 3 prospect. Massive steal for us in Getting both Dom and Christian. -
Disagree, infact nothing like Stanton. Reminds me more of stokes and Stevei Motlop. Has good speed and wins alot of the ball which is something I thought JKH couldnt do so he has surprised me there.A touch of class this kid.

A mix between Steven Motlop and Matthew Stokes. All class.

Our midfield was still well on top that night. It was the no option up forward that cost us.

I think the slight mistake Roos made with Watts was trying to turn him into a midfielder. Sure we were low on mids but beside his first game our midfield has been quite good and he really hasn't had that much of an impact. I just last year he really was starting to hit some big straps as a forward and I thought with the form he was hitting towards the end of the year he could hopefully take that into Pre Season and train full time as a forward and atleast bulk up a bit instead of trimming like he did this summer. I do understand what Roos was trying to do with him in regards to becoming a mid but I thought his form as a forward was just too good to ignore. Too many times Watts has been moved around too much and against St Kilda it would have been handy to have Watts up forward full time. We did draft him as a forward and I trully believe thats his best spot. A couple of times last year him and Dawes really worked well together.

My mistake RTG. I do hope he becomes a good player but im still very confused why we didnt pick Honeychurch or Templeton.
-
Hasn't hurt him at St Kilda this year.
-
I too was very surprised and so was the Footballing world we had taken him so early. He is every much as a project player has what Machsy mentioned about that guy. Hunt didnt even make the cut for his TAC which is bit of a worry. Played a few bit of school footy here and there and played tennis a bit more. From the footage he is very quick and alright skills but surely he would have last till our rookie draft. I was a Templeton fan and I trully believe its the one that got away. If its not that then its Langdon or Honeychurch aswell. Sick of these picks we keep wasting on smokies aswell.

Im pretty sure last year I read a mini artince on Sinclair saying that we were very interested in him but was a toss up between him and Fitzpatrick and we decided on Fitzy instead?
-
Go for Jono o'rourke and Lachie Plowman. Both talented players that would improve our midfield like Dom Tyson has. Even Matt Buntine aswell.

Can you get us more articles on all the other llayers that have trained with us also.. fair dinkum

St. Kilda v Melbourne - 2006 Elimination Final

Mclean, Bate, Jones, Sylvia, Bell... after that night i thought these guys were our future to lead us forward.. I really thought Mclean was going to be a genuine superstar. Travis Johnstone is right up there with Davey as one of the best kicks i have ever seen. I do miss the Daniher years. -
Was reported on Nine News that Watts is pretty much a done deal for the dees.

NM has very accurate sources. Looks like he is staying.

Paul Connors has always been a snake

Its how you build your foundation to set you up for the year. It make a hell of a difference when you complete a full pre season. If toumpas has a solid summer on the track injury free expect a different player from toumpas next year.
-
So out of the two jack watts threads we already have going you had to bump another one to tell us that?
-
I cannot believe some absolute deadset muppets are already writing of toumpas after 12 games!! WTF is with you idiots!? The bloke is coming off a no pre season base due to his hips which alters your core strength and takes a while to build over. Playing games now means he is catching up on pre season fitness but also valuable experience. Not trying to make an excuse but when you dont have the pre season fitness base behind you, your going to be playing catch up football all year. He will be very much better prepared next year when he has had a solid summer on the track and new coaching panel. He has also had to look up to Grimes and Trengove as leaders and lets be honest both arent really much chop. The midfield around him is absolutely diabolical Lack of leadership in showing the kids like toumpas, kent etc in being the ultimate professional in what it takes to become an A grade player DEVELOPMENT and CULTURE are the main reasons why our young player havent kicked on! We are on life support and battling a spreading cancer thats affected our club for years. So for all you imbociles saying he is a dud, wasted pick, trade etc you can all EAD!

Toumpas the cotchin and wines the next palmer.. there are some absolute muppets on this board.
