Enough to know that while he was a star player probably just below the genuine superstars like Carey Ablett Matthews Voss..
-
And thats my whole argument. Why on earth are Cotchin and even Naitanui getting air time when they couldn't get a kick in the finals.. While Vince is no superstar surley he deserves his own air time. Last week they had Rory Sloane for a day.. while he is a solid player, again i was gobsmacked that he got a gig yet Nathan Jones hasn't had no air time. . Rory Sloane over Nathan Jones? Spare me Fox Footy..

Was Robbie Flower really a 'superstar'... Understand there are alot of really bias supporters on here but when i think superstar i think of Carey, GAJ, Matthews, Voss... While Robbie was a fantastic player personally in my opinion he wasn't a superstar..
-
Sounds like he has lost the plot.
-
Vince averaged 22 disposals in the 3 2012 finals series Back in 2009 he got 28 disposal against Essendon and a week later when Adelaide got knocked out he racked up an impressive 34 disposals. Again i know who id rather.. Id take Jones over Cotchin by a country mile through leadership and sheet courage he has displayed this year.

Disagree on Fyfe.. hands down the guy is a superstar. I understand that he hasn't obviously won the holy glory but he has won alot of games of his own boot and he has a big physical presence on field that the likes of Voss and Carey had back in their days. I dont buy into your theory that they need to win a flag to be in the superstar category. Gary Ablett senior was a superstar in the 90s and he never won a flag.

For anyone who has Fox Footy you would know that they have a whole month dedicated to the current stars of our game in the likes of Fyfe, GAJ, Franklin Hodge, Riewoldt etc.. Everey day they will have a different star with full match highlights of their best games. Every now and then il switch over and have a look as I don't mind watching our games great full gear at it. I wake up this morning gobsmacked that they have a whole day dedicated to Trent Cotchin .. spare me seriously? good player but he hasn't gotten a kick in all of Richmond's finals for the last 2 years. Goes missing when the heat goes up a notch. This is where the real stars of the game just go to another level. I also shake my head because if the likes of Cotchin can get a whole day to himself where is Bernie Vince who I rate extremely more highly then Cotchin and impacts the game more then he does. Give me the leadership and courage of Nathan Jones over Cotchin aswell. So in other words yes I think Cotchin is overated and Fox Footy have got this one wrong..

When I spoke to his sister at a sports function a while ago she mentioned how her family and Ollie are extremely happy with Port and the culture they have provided for not only the Wines but other families from interstate. Ken Hinkley was a big advocate in creating a strong family culture for players and families. The vibe I got was Ollie would be a long term player for Port and no intentions of coming back to Victoria in the short term. So to me this is very surprising news and potentially one to really get massive media attention as the season goes by. The only reason I can think of him putting off contract talks is a Victorian club has gotten into the ear of Wines management in a big way.

No.. Both were out of contract.. Hunt got the 1 year contract while Michie got a rookie list position. -

Staggering decision this bloke got rookied listed instead of Jayden Hunt.. -
And they get the recognition that they deserve.. but we are not talking about Volunteers.. We are talking about players that represented this club for 10 years. And for your information Col did a lot of behind the scene work with Royal children hospital and would give up his own time to go in and cheer up sick kids and spend quality time with them. In fact he won some off field award at the Best and Fairest for his charity work through the club. Yet people are too quick to sink in the boots about his off field behaviour.. Nobody is perfect.... ....unless your Jessie Hogan

150 game is basically the criteria that gets you a life memberships. Regardless of what these player did in the past some of the comments are a bit uncalled for and silly. 150 games is still a mighty effort in AFL footy especially at one club now days. Well done to Riv and Col and looking forward to seeing these guys at the past players bar barracking for us in the near future.

Exactly.. The irony in this thread when Prestia (hopefully) becomes a demon will be fun to watch.
-
Your first mistake is believing those numbers. No way was Magner 82kgs.. Just like Fyfe mentioned he was playing around the 92kg this year.
-
Signed at Heidelberg actually. Liked Magner until he ran his little mouth off like a spoilt brat. Was as slow as Brock Mclean and like Luke Tapscott was way too big for a midfielder who couldn't keep up with the midfielders of the game.

Completely disagree. Trengove came to the club will an already mature solid body. Infact if anythinghe probably bulked up way too much and had to lose some muscle to get some run and speed in his legs. Bit like Petracca last year was mentioned by Paul Roos he had to lose some weight aswell which he has done. -
When you take as many days off as he does for training are you surprised?

Why did you name Jeremy Howe? He can't exactly return back to his home state and play AFL there.. -
Wasn't so much hate but downright bagging him and few pot shots thrown at him and the club for the reportable 4 year deal and on big money. I was one of many who wasn't happy at all that we chased him. Il reserve my judgment till the 2nd half of 2016. I Wish him well but again not someone that fills me with great excitement.

Good to see the AFL still silent on this issue.. Alot didn't like Andy Demetriou but at least he was always a voice on the issue and tried to get on the full front of things.. Dill is an absolute marshmallow.

Too right. Its the same negative people who continue to moan and groan about any sample of positivity.. probably the same ones who are Emailing Roosy non stop telling him how to do his job.
