Watched the whole game. They controlled the game for 3 quarters until we just came alive in the last. Nothing but a brilliant and gallant effort by the girls! Mithen and Tex Perkins kicked crucial clutch goals. The roar from the girls when Mithen kicked that goal in the last was simply amazing to hear! Well done girls!! Oh, and Nigel Carmody is a bloody good commentator! He [censored] all over the likes of Basil and Hamish.

Best way to beat the dogs? Put in a extensive amount of physical pressure on Bont and watch him go to water. His prelim last year was the same. Bont is a good player, but until he deals with this, in no way should he be in the same discussion as Martin, Fyfe, Dangerfields of the game.

Short term would be Jones yes, but i wpuld also rather Tom Sparrow then ANB. I'd rather anyone to be honest.

I think people need to accept the reality that Spargo is going to get a lot of games this year. He tackle, harrasses, and links up well between mid and forward. His Marsh series was actually quite. I would have ahead ANB who is as sloppy as they come, and plays wet weather football every week. Weideman and Lockhart get the last 2 gigs. In fact, i would be immensely surprised if Lockhart misses out.

With Jones and Vandenberg not playing, does that open the door for someone like Tom Sparrow?

Take the time out to feel for Bedford and Picketts family who unfortunately won't be there live to watch their kids debut. Years of sacrifices they've had to make and unfortunately not their to see the fruits of their labour.

I've also taken that into account. But speed of the game will eventually get hold of him. First half against the crows he was sluggish then picked up his mojo in the 2nd half. 1st half against Hawks he was barely sighted. And look it was always going to take time for him I understand that, but it will eventually catch up to him If they eventually shut the season down then that's another whole season hes missed. Club needs to do what's best for the club moving forward.

But doesn't age become a factor as well? He'll be 29 this year and has only played 7 games in 4 years. Yes injury has killed him of getting more games, but how long is too long? I personally cannot see him making it back and having the impact he would like. Really feel for the poor bloke.

I think some serious discussions needs to be held around his future. I think the club is all about wanting to support him while he's had all these term injuries, but a time comes where you just have to bite the bullet unfortunately. Same with KK. There were still a lot of talented footballers who missed out last year that I would rather have them fit and firing on our list. It pains me to say that about Vanders because i love him as a player. But hes been on our list too long for little return.

Agree, why does Max have to take into consideration of Jacks feelings? Maxy is as honest as they come, and if he simply rates Lever well ahead of Jack then of course he'll say that. Again, let's not forgot that not all players thought highly of Jacks leadership..

My little brother just got selected by Box Hill hawks after strong recommendation from Hawthorn recruiters playing bush footy up here. Spoke to him this morning and he was distraught. Life is getting cruel. But as i said to him, life is more valuable then a game of footy.

Yes agree with this also. Though the 2 games I have seen in the Marsh series points to him having a really good season tpuch wood with injury.
