Spot on. Again, I too don't believe the placing of the best and fairest is the sole reasoning at all. I think at his age and what he's already achieved, he would be satisfied enough. He'll win a few more BnF's mind you. The middle part as you note is very interesting. Could be all of those things that we wouldn't know. I think we all can agree that 2021 looms as a very critical year for the footy club.

I just think think he like some players would be getting restless because of the lack of success. Oliver's already had 5 years in the system and he's played finals once. It would absolutely play on their minds knowing they have a bloke on the list named Nathan Jones who's barely had any success. Do they want to go down that same path? Putting my football hat on, as a player, would absolutely hand back all my individual achievements if it meant I was constantly playing finals each year and knowing that we were so close on the brink of success. Watching the likes of Brisbane, St Kilda go past us in the last 2 years would leave a pretty salty taste in their mouths. Having dealt with Oliver from our bushies days, he's a competitive beast who just wants to win every single game and taste success. He's never once come across someone who's in for the individual stuff.

Curnow is cooked mate. I would not be surprised if he doesn't play again. Still struggling with his knee injury.

Clarry won't get traded this year. He's contacted and I expect a Daniher/Papley like scenario even if he requested a trade. The big issue will be when he is out of contract next year and potentially miss finals. 2021 could not be a more crucial year then ever. Goodwin needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

I think this is the real worry. I honestly do believe there is some restless players who want success and Oliver and Trac i feel would be one of those players. If we don't make finals next year then Oliver will have every right to explore his options and would think he could potentially leave.

Yes i am aware of Cripps partner situation, I believe she is battlibg some serious anxiety issues and is very homesick?. Maybe that's what Garry Lyon is alluding too in terms of a trade bombshell going down. It makes sense why Carlton are going hard for Oliver.

All I will say is that I would not be surprised if there is legs to this rumour. Garry Lyon has been hinting at a potential bombshell trade that's about to hit, and with his links to Melbourne, I would not be surprised if this is the Oliver to Blues rumour that's swirling around.

Jay Clark said on triple M that Viney hasn't given a confirmation to Melbourne whether he's staying or going, but the club are really confident he'll stay.

Jay Clark on triple M yesterday said that Melbourne will be active this trade period and we've got our eyes set on Jared Polec and Isaac Smith as our main targets. Ben Brown was brought up as a discussion and both Nathan Brown and Joey Montanga both agreed that Brown should be our main priority.

Have heard its the Doggies who are interested.

Tom Morris said during the week on a trade chat that we along with the saints have preliminary interest in Brown.. whatever that even means.
