  1. Getting in very early with the next round's edition (and apologies if this should be on the other board - over to you, @Demonland if so) but this in today's Age needed posting: Adelaide midfielder Eloise Jones, prior to their game against GC on Sunday: 'Our home run is going to be really hard, we've got some really great teams coming up, [including] Brisbane, North Melbourne.' Something being repressed there, Eloise?
  2. Thanks for that truly shocking epiphany. Didn't work, though, it seems... 😕
  3. ...as does Casey Sherriff and Sinead Goldrick. The diamond is the women's jumper's design for the long sleeves. Per my post elsewhere, very 'DC Comics'. Super!
  4. Unlike MFC 2023. Except when they missed that, too... Our draft and trade targets need to be blokes that can hit targets, human or the DA's one. (Yeah, I know it's actually 'behinds' but you get my point...)
  5. ...if not just continued performances like hers and the team's last night, absent the superstitionrows 😊 And anyway, the team still has Eden's superstitious tucked jumper...
  6. 'Chyloe'. Seen before heard, so I thought 'Kylowie' and 'Shilo' were 2 different commentators. Throwing in my commentator beef with all your others, posters, the constant reference to the height of the taller girls was pretty off.
  7. One of the Cats was rocking them, too. Did Heretier try them? I've thought the flying ponytails could be a worry, too, particularly to eyes. And some of those topknots are pretty pointy...
  8. Sounds like a gift from heaven. Get him.
  9. The list just goes on, doesn't it! Though I think AFLW is still a few seasons short of justifying the word 'ever' 😏
  10. M.Gawn says thanks for the metaphor, SPC [insert 'Winx' emoji: 😉]
  11. Needs one of DL's photoshoppers for your campaign, BD. And, with that 'development', perhaps in one of the women's DC Comic long-sleevers? (Fun aside, I guess he could be a Pedersen-level contributor? Better than a nothing option if that's where the choice ends up. Injury susceptibility, though?)
  12. What I'm feeling, and it's very evident so many others are feeling, is that this team and its football are just a pleasure to watch (the winning's nice, too, of course!) And, for me, this is particularly for its being a week-by-week experience. I'm hoping I can keep this feeling uppermost and suppress 'eye on the prize', where personal disappointment lies (don't we know it!) It's already creeping in with that goalless last quarter thingy (I'm with you, @darkhorse72!)
  13. Thank you, Ireland, for not only Sinead, Blaithin and Aimee (and Jim and, round about, Sean) but also for that particular humour you brought to Australia, new and ancient.
  14. Loved the E = mc2 banner. Clever!
  15. Minor point: forgot the ♾️% for the last 3 weeks.
  16. Worth the wait, Viper! Fly the flag over there, you and especially the girls!
  17. Special mention to, as the club website report refers to them, 'the strong travelling group of Demons fans'. Well done, all of you. And a fun watch of the replay awaits you - you were well covered!
  18. They kept on script tonight then, eh! https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-09-28/how-melbourne-built-the-most-damaging-attack-in-aflw-history/102907982
  19. I thought the Hawks got fumbly last week because they're at that standard. But tonight I realised it happens because that's what this Melbourne team makes the opposition. Real pressure becomes implied pressure, and, the real pressure still continues, unabated.
  20. ...or the 9 games before that!
  21. LOTS of shots of the Melbourne supporters and DA particularly, @WalkingCivilWar! Commentary to go with it. Making up for last week!
  22. We got the rub of the (lime) green that quarter. And don't they let the 'scrums' go on for an eternity! First quarter GFC has lost. And conceded a goal, I think. Hope we retain our last quarter dominance, in contrast!
