  1. @Monbon has PM-ed me an answer which, though not my correct answer, wins the Perpetual Prize for Most Amazing, Arcane, Academic and Attention-to-detail Alternative Answer. I suspect such an effort will never be matched. As to my correct answer, remember it is made to order not only for Monbon but also for @DubDee. I'm thinking the latter might be more at my level of Google-able knowledge than Professor Monbon's knowledge level 😄
  2. I'd say they all would have had one, Mr D, but no. Now, no further coaching, for the time being...
  3. Calling @DubDee and @Monbon, in case you missed this new thread 😁
  4. ... a classic starting 18, and their coach, prepared to order: B: C. Salem O. McDonald R. Bail HB: E. Langdon L. Dunn L. Tapscott C: I. Weetra C. Oliver A. Neal-Bullen HF: S. Byrnes A. vandenBerg L. Jurrah F: S. Weideman P. Johnson R. Petterd Foll: E. Spalding V. Michie I. Ridley Coach: N. Smith (How many days now till actual footy???🥴)
  5. Good remembering @WalkingCivilWar. I'd hope PD would faithfully report that my PM-ing showed I didn't recall it, but, 'post-race', I do realise I felt a nag-ging feeling when it finally came to me... As I did when selecting my Norm Smith coached team. Though that has seemed to prove to be not the case!
  6. Welcome to the 'Annoyers Club', PD! You're allowed to set up your own thread (though I'm sure @Demonstone is flattered!) Meanwhile, 🤔
  7. Twenty-seven?! How can that be?? Too soon!!! May have to downgrade my expectations for this cohort regarding Carlton's and Essendon's premiership tallies, from 'Surpass' to 'Reach'.
  8. Surely not! Who might one coach be simpatico with? And why would Martin Pike not be following team rules, though it sounded like he might? And why would Ben Brown be straight out of 'Uni'? (that one might require a bit of research😉)
  9. Careful what you wish for, guys. I shall rise to this challenge! Mwahahaha!...
  10. Doesn't feel like there's many in 'us all', Mr D! Still, for you at least, I point back to the title and that our Norm and his team would be simpatico. I suspect you'll get it now, and feel free to post it directly here for due plaudits. I'm not getting a vibe of any competition!
  11. While we're imagining BBO's persona, it would be very Victorian/Edwardian to also imagine for him a nemesis, Moriarty-like, and who of the Demonland cohort might suit the role. And, BBO, who would be your Doctor John Watson? The idle musings of someone browsing too long into the night...
  12. 🦗 🦗 🦗 Still, late changes needed to the team: Out: Martin PIKE - found not to be following team rules (hope he has success elsewhere...); Shaun SMITH - only cos positionally I meant Joel SMITH. Either is a perfect team player. In: Ben BROWN - straight out of uni; Joel SMITH - as above.
  13. To keep the good vibes generating, a 'book' on the date he re-signs. I'll start: The week following Anzac Eve's demolition of the yellow blackhearts, in front of one of those many-tens-of-thousands crowds.
  14. ...this one might be simpatico: B: Frank DAVIS James FRAWLEY Aidan RILEY HB: Shaun SMITH Don WILLIAMS Peter WALSH C: Bluey ADAMS James MCDONALD James JORDON HF: Scott THOMPSON Garry LYON Brad MILLER F: Martin PYKE Barry BOURKE Jeff FARMER Foll: Troy SIMMONDS Nathan JONES Hassa MANN I/C: Don MCKENZIE Sam WIEDEMAN Tony CAMPBELL Russell RICHARDS Why? PM responses, please.
  15. I'm about to post one, W. It may not pass the EFFS test?...😬
  16. I just want to jump in here and say I never imagined this thread might become 2022/23's 'Farewell Luke Jackson'. Now that it's sprouting as that, though, I'm at least glad about the comparatively positive (Kozzitive?) title! Keep the good vibes coming, folks, wherever you can find them! Maybe Kozzy will feel them 🙏🏽
  17. *Blushes* That latest clue sent me (back) to Mr.Google. Who knew?! (other than you of course!)
  18. My upbringing allowed me recognition of the reference, Mon (though not ready recall of the exact location - 👏 to you!) It was your alternative take that my upbringing would never have imagined!
  19. I was typing as your last came in, @Demonstone. From the previous 'clue' I had got as far as deducing it was nothing to do with them directly, including their playing careers, as the 'but not always' would have negated the commonality. Their names must(?) all match the names of people(?) who are (part of?) something that is 'usually 4'. But 'fishy'? Sheesh!
  20. Fish/ing? You've lost me, then, I'm afraid. I worked in Tassie for a good while. I didn't fish, I didn't sail, I didn't hunt. So I didn't fit.
  21. No need to worry about the bare Santa sack, @Demonstone. Ain't nobody gonna be able to qualify! Perhaps one or 'mow' clues? I do note the names are all very 'whitebread'...although, ironically, also 'of colour'!
  22. @Demonstone, I've got a glitch that returns a 'x cannot receive messages' response when I try to PM. Could you PM me and we can see if I can get to you by reply?
