  1. I had "What's a girl gotta do...?" typed in after Mr Leg's 12:48 PM yesterday but deleted it. Appropriation is so non-PC these days. But, 'Great minds...' n all that!
  2. Any roosters to look after the baby girls, @WalkingCivilWar? Though we live in times, hopefully, that Gregory could identify freely. (I see you're ready to contemplate new names, WCW, but apologies if this turn to (gentle) humour is too soon in your grief...)
  3. Indeed, @Little Goffy, 2023's going to be rather a death ride smorgasbord! I stand by my topic heading, but in the worst-case scenario, wouldn't some 2024 first rounders be cream on top of our already-whipped 2023 first-rounder cream for a Magic Pudding of sustained success!
  4. Indeed. Then there's his non-goal plays. Rewind to the Heavenly Day for his frightening of Williams for Spargs' Q1 goal (which I now realise involved a bit of Spargs' frightening as well!🤩) and his blocks, first on Duryea then famously on Dunkley, for Tracc's Q3 'goal' (such an inadequate label...). Of course, he can combine the two; viz, the intercept on Moore in the OP vid.
  5. I just stumbled on this. A range of people thinking that wasn't a bad exhibition of footy... https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-grand-final-2021-melbourne-demons-beat-western-bulldogs-news-score-reaction/news-story/bcc65060f217d3b738e73c6b5bf03812
  6. Lots to love there 😊 Now cue divergence of thread to clever Dees names for chookies...😉
  7. I did wonder... Maybe a new brood, in due course, will help the healing gently along? 'Landers all, I'm struck by the personal stories that surface here and, most particularly, by the preparedness of the storytellers to be vulnerable to strangers (though maybe we're not strangers here, so much?) Though one story might seem less, or more, momentous than another to we readers, we respect (I hope) that it is the teller's experience that sets the moment.
  8. @WalkingCivilWar: Bizarro World alive and (not so?) well in the west 😯 (How are you btw?)
  9. Someone who knows you well got you an early pressie, Mr Stone?
  10. Thanks, Monbon; a nice watch (the joyful crowd backdrop of the finger-poining celebration of the last goal (sadly just before the final demise) provided a family pic for my screensaver). And extra thanks: Telemann's '12 Fantasias for Flute without Bass' provided a musical backdrop of exactly the right length!
  11. A Dees team to join in the wishes (understandably all over the place, having decided to live right up to its message?!) Backs: M.Hibberd J.Adams C.Petracca Half Backs: H.Petty G.Yeats K.Chandler Centres: J.Harmes A.Riley A.Ingerson Half Forwards: C.Salem A.Tomlinson S.May Forwards: F.Adams C.Spargo L.Dunstan Followers: C.Ellis J.Melksham C.Oliver I/C: A.Neal-Bullen E.Langdon S.Armstrong M.Newton Coach: F.Davis
  12. Thanks @Deespicable and others. I'm always impressed how the Trackside Team can discern and remember so much. Meanwhile, I see the Club is showing an interest in the Bombers training. This has found its way onto the Club's website (I hope they're not trying to gaslight you, @WalkingCivilWar 😮)...
  13. Careful, everyone: toying with schadenfreude perhaps FEEDS A CHUNDER! Best I could do...
  14. It must have been a ripper, frankie! (And from the subsequent posters - and @WalkingCivilWar's buddy - it looks like there won't be any debate this time about which team had the best home-game-at-the-'G support! 😉) Your post sent me down the Google rabbit hole: Charles Arnold 'Chuck' Burgi III, American (what else with that name?!) long-time Joel band drummer. No evident connection with the Dees but publicity photos seem to show a penchant for the red and blue (good man!) e.g. Spiderman merch. Possibly a Dees supporter in MCG event management (there'd be a few!😄) was onto this and jumped at the chance?
  15. Bit of a sheltered life here. I presume it's a cultural reference, but what does 'deathride' mean and what are its origins? 'Feathered cap', too, for that matter (in this context)...
  16. Couple of comments on the Club tweet about 'glad to see Yze there'. Yep.
  17. Maffra, 'just down the highway'. Spoken like true country folk, @Whispering_Jack 😁. But yes, it's not WA! I was sorry 2022 Jack Oatey medallist and Norwood 2022 premiership 'mini' ruck Harry Boyd didn't nominate. He's from just 'up' the highway 😉 (Shepparton)
