Dees win $1million McClelland Trophy
I'm not sure how safe I'd feel in 20,000 at Casey, K! Still, the problem probably wouldn't arise: the ground would be emptying again by the time I arrived from my car park... 😄

Fremantle 'player to watch' in the MFC site preview is Mim Strom We had a kid called Campbell at school. Nickname, 'Soups'. Mim would be close to candidacy for the same...

You mean use his 'natural' hand? (funny how some lefties use their right - Ooze for one?) Or do you mean that hand-cup over the front of the ball? He lowers his eyes nicely though. Something often cried out for here...

@WalkingCivilWar (or you, 'Old' or anyone else) do you know if any other 'viewing' numbers (than ground attendances) are included in the rounds-expansion metrics? I refer to TV, FTA and streamed, including the AFL app feed (which I use when I can't get to the ground).

Dees win $1million McClelland Trophy
Particularly stupid if it's $ for $?! Even if it's 'better' than $ for $, it's disingenuous calling it a '$1million' prize. It will be effectively less, possibly significantly.

The Ws are contributing 8 points a game. Without them we don't beat Brisbane. Or Collingwood! 🤮

Good to see Harry2 getting another couple of overs.

Training Ground?
I posted the info below about 12 months ago, HTD; a timetable that would suggest the answer to your question might not yet quite be known. The big change, of course, is the Commonwealth games situation, and a further year of the State's financial situation. The 2027 Rugby World Cup remains as a timing factor.

if Caulfield's a thing: If Porz, Rennick and Roffey can't swing a deal, not sure who can.

May I join in? The problem being in Melbourne for this 'Adelaide' boy? The long drive.

The No T$ No B$ Thread
This thread has morphed into Memory Lane. Very nice; thank you, everyone (you all know who you are 😊 ) Guess it's good to get 'em out there before they disappear! Yoyos re-appeared every year through primary school and into secondary. Clever, Coca-Cola Company. Their annual return, along with that of marbles (in the myriad ways they could be played) was, for a child, actually more certain than death and taxes.

He also heard one of his co(-honours)-cast had fallen in da water! (Shane Gould or Dawn Fraser, perhaps? Or Alan Bond!)

Fair enough, and 👏. But, damn; Eccles took me down a 'sort of correct' path - that of honoured people. I'm now an authority on Nobel Prize winners...

Dees win $1million McClelland Trophy
This debate seems to be heavily influenced by perceptions of how playing in ASP - most notably the travel, particularly if the following match involves a difficult game, standard-, timing-, and/or location-wise - affects the team's performance. In this - as in so many other issues! - we 'Landers are prone to 'project' (guilty as charged, Your Honour!) The players' actual views would be interesting. It wouldn't surprise me, I must say, if they enjoyed the change of scenery, figuratively and literally (particularly in and around ASP) and the stimulation that travel, with friends, provides. On the other hand, I can recognise the possibility such distraction or stimulation might negatively affect performance. particularly that oft-referred-to '1%'. This should be manageable, however. I can also recognise supporters' responses to a 'lost' home game, if replacement arrangements aren't equal or better for them.
