  1. Chuck him forward.Jones at least is willing to go back and have a set shot. We don't have any answers for our forwards until Melky is back, so chuck Jonesy forward to see what happens.
  2. I've honestly not watched much of May over his career, only read about him post game when he was at the Suns. I'm really interested in seeing what his best footy looks like with my own eyes.
  3. I don't want anyone on here getting sick, so before you drink and I will sample a few first to make sure they are ok to consume. Just being a good Samaritan....
  4. I can't really comment given I was born in early 80s. One guy who had a great career but was cut short due to a knee injury was Anthony Ingerson. One of the better half backs I can recall. Was rarely beaten and had great endurance. Not sure if he makes the cut for many, but I have fond memories of him playing. Just thought he could be foot noted as an honorable mention.
  5. Eddie wanted him at Collingwood. Never questioned anything to do with Weideman or his ability.
  6. Karma for bending us over for Lever. I hope he rots in the sanfl while he eats into their salary cap for the next two seasons.
  7. Look, let's celebrate what this signing really means. It means Eddie McGuire doesn't get what he wants bringing the "Weideman Bloodline" back to Collingwood. Suck a fat one Eddie!
  8. Reminds me a bit if when Jayden Hunt burst onto the scene. Hunt took 2 years to get going due to injury and form, and Baker had a similar start with his first year. Like most inexperienced players they have their ups and downs, and Baker will be no different. Like Hunt, I see him being able to carve a spot out in our best 22. You can't teach speed, and the modern game needs speedy players.
  9. I can understand the temptation given he probably only has a one to two year window to play alongside his brother.
  10. Leader or not Lewis has good footy experience and a good brain for the game. His experience has contributed to the current group As the saying goes "father time is undefeated". Lewis can't defeat father time, the game is now passed him by physically. Mentally he still has lots to offer. I wish him well.
  11. Surprise: Hunt. Many were calling for him to be traded last year and he wasn't a clear best 22. He is now one of our best forwards and looks like he has cemented his spot in our best team. Disappointment: How could it be anyone other than May? Gave up plenty on the trade table for him only for his name to be splashed across media for being out of shape. Then he gets hurt. To cap it off gets his teammates offside by having a cheeky ale whilst on rehab. I really hope he turns it around.
  12. Gawn>Grundy and that is no slight towards Grundy who is a phenomenal player. It's just that Gawn is just smashing opposition ruckman into Oblivion each and every week.
  13. Not keen on rushing Lever back. Hannan looked miles off the pace and would have benefited from time at Casey. Outs: Omac, Spargo, JKH In: May, Salem, Hore
  14. The season is shot so I'm not opposed to seeing what he can do with a few more games in the seniors. It's not like we have a bunch of kids kicking the door down to take his spot (maybe a Sparrow type if we go down the path of gifting games). As for Spargos selection at 29, there wasn't a heap of standout players selected outside the top 30 in that 2017 draft. McCartin, Langdon are handy players and there are a few more. Spargo is also still only 19, so he might still be able to elevate his game (even if he is on the small side).
  15. He is contracted until the end of season 2020 so unless a trade partner can be found he will be around next season. At this point I'd almost throw him forward in the vfl and see how he goes. He played some junior footy forward so it wouldn't hurt to see if he can help our forward depth in 2020. We can rule out the backline for him as a suitable place to play.
  16. Forget selling this home game to Darwin nonsense. The crowd was clearly heavily supporting the crows. Could have sworn on the telecast it was being played in Adelaide.
  17. Anyone know where a live web stream might be available? I'm keen to watch this and heading to the ground isn't an option.
  18. There is a whopping list clean out coming so Dunkley might have landed in a great position at the Demons. Good Luck to the kid!
  19. Scott would be preferable to Troy Chaplain surely....... Fire sale coming out of norf, list rebuild is imminent.
  20. Just keep Jeff White's kids away from Stephen King's kids!!!!
  21. Our percentage reminds me of 1997..... I shudder at the memories of 1997. Honestly we are not playing finals this season, our percentage is diabolical.
  22. Grabbing a teenager with upside might pay dividends down the track. Hirst looks a good selection if he is on the board.
  23. In: Preuss, C. Wagner, Sparrow Out: A.N.B (injured), T. Smith (injured), Stretch (omitted) I think Salem might be ok to go. Other two with knocks look set to miss. Most posters on here have summed up Billy really well so his omission is no surprise. Corey was solid for Casey, and Sparrow has been doing what's been asked of him at Casey. Given our horrendous injury list they are the next names ready to be called. Preuss doesn't require explanation, get him in.
