Given the list balance experience wise I think chunk plays on next year. I imagine Jeffy and Lewis are going at years end, leaving a bit of a gap experience wise. Playing 300 in modern footy is quite a feat. If chunk does it we might have to wait a very long time to see it happen again.

Frost - made an impact I know Frost is far from popular on here but you can't deny the impact he had on this game. He was valuable and was there when we needed someone to step up and do something. Salem - a f-ing gun We might be seeing his best footy this season. Very good by foot and hard as nails.

Forward entry dirtier than Ricky Nixon's black book. Just Filthy!!!

The Hawks fan was lucky he wasn't wearing a Geelong jumper. If the offender was in a cats jumper he would have got away with it.... (On a serious note, no need to whack someone even if they are a Hawks supporter and probably deserved it)

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Adzman replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Regardless of results he will need to be transitioned out of the side during the season in preparation for 2020 and beyond. In 4-6 weeks we might see some guys come back. That's when we can talk about what we do with Jordie. Until then he is one of the only viable options we have got back there. -
100% agree. That scufff up with scicily showed the Hawks we weren't going to just roll over and take it from them.

Lynden Dunn: "I wish I came to the pies 10 years ago"
Adzman replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Pies are due for a big fall in the upcoming years. He can say what he likes, but a partial rebuild is on the cards for the pies. Second oldest list in the comp and many of those older heads are still crucial pieces to their line up. Dunn will no doubt be sacrificed at seasons end for list balance. -
Beating Hawthorn is enjoyable. Beating Hawthorn with Scully in a Hawks jumper is beyond enjoyable!

Jake Melksham extends for three more years
Adzman replied to TeamPlayedFine39's topic in Melbourne Demons
He is the only shining light up forward. I get the temptation to move him further up the ground but we just don't have anyone capable of doing what he does in the forward half. He is a ripper. -
I'm lost for words. Wtf is going on down there??

Anyone on here have ties to the club to get Gary Pert on the Demonland podcast to talk about the current position the club is in? Would be interested in listening to his views and some of the Demonland questions about where we are at.

Probably the most unlucky trade haul in AFL history from an injury standpoint. KK, May and Preuss all banged up and on the sidelines. Can't think of a time where a club has brought in 3 players at the trade period only to see them all head to the sidelines injured. It's madness.

What if tinder was around when Robbie Flower was a young buck and we had a team of Robbie Flower's kids running around.

The Dees are human excrement right now and that's that. A whopping great stinking pile of it.
-
On the bright side, at least this time we have bottomed out without expansion clubs coming in pillaging the draft I'm actually hoping the club takes a good hard look at the mid season draft and unearths a player who will contribute next year and beyond.

Is the DL banner the new Madden Curse? If so, I suggest we start changing the banner weekly to our weekly opponent's best player just so the curse can work for us.

You are entitled to an opinion, but his current stats aren't an indicator of his future performance. You might be underwhelmed, but reality is that all 18 clubs would have taken him top 2 which suggests most recruiters believe he has the tools to make it. Flipping him for pick 20-25 isn't likely to be a step forward.

On Tracs current form you are only probably netting a return of 50c on the dollar if you trade him this year. He is the sort of player who will make you pay for selling him low. Would rather let him figure it out this season and build some form. He is capable and he will improve.

Sparrows performance was pleasing to read about. Seems to be a likely inclusion for Viney next week.

I'm disgusted in the season thus far. It's time to tinker in preparation for next season. We won't finish last, but bottom 4 is a likely destination for season 2019. Finals this season will not happen for us.

Getting cold outside, things tend to shrink a bit when the weather changes.

I think the club needs to make some decisions on a few players heading into next season, and would suggest those with question marks get a game. They need to see if players like Petty, Keilty, Maynard and Baker are worth investing beyond 2019. Only way to see if they are up to it is to play them.

Without BM there would be no doggies flag, even if he wasn't there when they eonbit. He helped set the foundation there. The work he has down with Harmes has been fantastic and I honestly believe he can have that impact on any players who are willing to listen to him and put the work in.

No idea what is happening in the four walls at the club. Maybe they did review, maybe they didn't. We can Only speculate, either way the results are daggers in the heart of the supporter base so something needs to change quickly. The only thing we can do is start analysing the top 4 draft prospects in the TAC cup because at this rate that's where we are headed this season.

Our trade table returns are looking a tad lean. I hope for the clubs sake there are some performance benchmarks in Lever and May's contracts. If Jetta is out for 10 weeks it's pretty much worth sitting him out for the season.
