I'll save my voice for to support the lads in the red and blue.

I thought he started poorly but started to get into rhythm in the 3rd quarter before getting subbed out. He will be better for the run, and will continue to get better. His vfl form has been good, and I think he can build his form and make a case to play in the senior side.

I just hope this doesn't change the way JvR plays. Horrendous decision to uphold.

I'm curious about people's thoughts on who would replace McVee if he were rested. I thought some of his efforts were quite good and think he should stay in, but I'm seeing a few calls for him to be rested over the past few games. I'm not against managing players, especially against a tanking hawthorn, but who comes in for McVee of he is to be rested?

If the commentators supporting the suns wasn't bad enough they have now contributed to this kid getting suspended. They overreacted to the whole thing. Dees must challenge or we will continue to be one of the clubs who is made an example of.

I did read that Fremantle consulted with the traditional owners of the land and 'Walyalup' is the local language term for 'bottom 4'.

I was surprised to find out Xavier followed the Lions before being drafted to Port. Any idea who Zane follows? I was hoping given the family linkages someone would be a Melbourne fan. Good luck to young Zane today!

Chandler has gone from a 2022 fringe player to being a major cog in the machine in 2023. You know you've found a player when opposition supporters are talking about him. His game was exceptional tonight. If he keeps this up he's a lock in this side.

I rarely post on here, but I second this! Ripping bloke!

Richmond fans have started to chirp as they feel like they have this one. Honestly Richmond fans are the worst.

Won't be any pressure on selection at this rate. Gee whiz, worst Casey game I've seen live for a long while. Hoping for a turnaround in the second half.

Disco has been solid down back. Tommo has been marshalling the troops down back. KFW is very raw, but he is mountain. You can't teach height and he has plenty of it.
-
I think there is an outside chance

Disco is playing, Bill and love Shack haven't seen since I got here.

Dunstan playing at Casey, so one assumes Clarry will be right to go tomorrow
-
That forward line is too good for me not to go and attend in person. I'll be there, looking forward to seeing how KFW goes in the ruck.

He is a genuine footballer, and has the opportunity to cement a spot as a small forward in out best 22. To get 12 senior games in last season was a ripping feat, and he could take it one step further and push for a whole season if his form and fitness is up to it.

This new contact was hard earned and we'll deserved. Couldn't be happier for him!

Well played Carlton, although I suspect paying newnes more than the saints could offer could impact what Carlton can now offer Jack Martin. Interesting times ahead.
-
With JKH and Stretch now being removed from the list, that's another 2 spots that need to be filled. Must be close to signing a DFA or two.

Harley Bennell if he is still available. And yes, at pick 97 I'm deadly serious.

I went with B- for the trade period. I thought we should have been more aggressive in shopping pick #3 with GWS for their pick #6 and something else. Whispers were their #6 pick and next year's first rounder. I don't mind that to slide back a few spots.
-
We have the list space, we only have two draft selections for the whole draft (#3 & #8) and several list spots to fill. Not sure about cap situation but Martin doesn't strike me as top dollar type. Handy player to have, especially for free.

Bluntest set of steak knives in history......

They have played finals once in the past 5 seasons and haven't win a final since 2014. It's similar to what Melbourne and Carlton faced before/during long stints in the wilderness. Players get cold feet after being starved of success. Another middling season of going nowhere will likely force some good players out next trade period. Seems as though a full rebuild is on the cards.
